Focus Kuramae

On the last nigth, I started to note a red rash in my entire body. It stinged pretty bad tomorrow morning, Im pretty sure they have a bed bug problem.

J’avais réservé pour 3 nuits, je n’y suis resté que trente minutes. Le personnel a l’entrée est sympa, le café en bas aussi. On monte via un ascenseur dans un dortoir, ou les lits superposés ont mal vieillis, les séparations de sont principalement par des rideaux. La lumière des voisins passent par le plafond. Il n’y pas le côté cocon des capsules hôtels, même si cela reste une auberge de jeunesse. Le principal point négatif et rédhibitoire, est que les affaires de l’ensemble des occupants sont entreposées à même le sol, dans un tout petit espace à côté de la fenêtre, sans casier spécifique. Il existe certes un minuscule coffre fort personnel à côté de votre lit, permettant simplement de mettre votre portefeuille et votre passeport. Un peu choqué de cette organisation, du manque de sécurité pour mes affaires personnelles, et de la vetustité des installations, je décide d’aller voir les commentaires Google, évoquant récemment des punaises de lit. Au vu de la promiscuité, j’ai pris mes affaires directement sans chercher à comprendre. L’auberge est quand même chère, et le rapport qualité prix n’est pas du tout au rdv. J’ai demandé un remboursement, mais bien entendu il ne m’a jamais été accordé

Smelly room. Staff too casual. I just think a hostel isn’t our style. Neighboring bed found a bed bug and we had to find another accommodation the same day. The exterminator wasn’t scheduled to come for two full days.

When we reached they told us there were bed bugs so they relocated us to another hostel until the last day of our stay. When we came back they told us to wait until 3pm to check in because the beds needed to be made. We came back around 5pm and they made us wait an additional 20 minutes because the beds STILL were not made. Offered us no compensation other than a free set of towels to use. The AC in our room did not work either. Completely unprofessional.

I stayed for six nights and my experience can be summarised with 'decent, but not worth the money'. I've booked a single room for about 70$/night which was completely unnecessary since the room barely offered more comfort than some of the better dorm sleeping cabins I've stayed in. During my stay I heard of a bed bug issue two floors above mine, so ask about it if you get a room on the 5th floor. Also, there wasn't really much social life since the common area doubles as a normal cafe.

Warning! This place gives free towels and other amenities for 5 star reviews. My sister left covered in bed bug bites. The hostel it self is nice but had a really dull vibe nothing going on here or near at all. Close enough walk to stations to get to hotspots but otherwise there is nothing really surrounding it besides a market. Would not recommend
