Explained very clearly that I was getting to DC late and would miss my first of 3 nights instead of being ok, they canceled my booking (charged me) and made me rebook. Scum. Sheisty. Be careful with these people.

So noisy. One cannot sleep. So many strange people here. Why a man keeps singing overnight? I'm too tired already.

Front desk was dismissive and unprofessional. He didn’t open the door, ignored me at check-in, and gave no info on rules, breakfast, or checkout. Answers were rude (“it’s on the wall,” “keep going”), with zero effort to assist. No guidance when carrying luggage, only sarcasm (“if you take off your shoes, I’ll let you in”). He even gave me the wrong door code, which could have locked me out. Overall, extremely disrespectful service — not recommended.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Got woken up at 6am first night & 4.45am next night by staff doing "bed checks". I have never experienced this before! Also, woke up covered in bed bug bites! The hostel threatens fines for everything! And I got stuck in 2 different bathrooms, as did other guests because of broken locks - the staff did not seem to care! As a female solo traveler I did not feel safe here. Definitely nicer hostels in DC to stay at. Avoid this one at all costs.

I don’t recommend staying there, there are some homeless people staying there and the room don’t smell good at all.

Another trash experience. People come from all around to jockey for some sort of situational credibility. No, I've been here, no I'm doing this, no our beliefs are true, no this, no that. The other people seem like they're just traveling to travel, like, yes, we get to go to DC, see the world, we are important. And you come to DC to prove that? I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't one of these two groups of people. They took my debit card, then fraudulent charges began being reported. An employ...

Grimey people working, stealing credit card number, and today I noticed transactions made, they tamper with your belongings and go through while you're gone, and can't be trusted, they're very 2 faced, they will smile, before backstabbing..

o local não era tão limpo o cerpete cheirava a mofo e velgo o quarto era muito mal ventilado ficava num porão era extremamente claustrofóbico, os banheiros compartilhados, era uma casa adaptada para ser hostel. Não gostei do local.

I woke up in the middle of the night with bed bugs crawling over me, stay clear.

if you're used to hostels outside the US, this will likely be the worst you stay at. very few people seem to be backpackers. "lockers" are large filing cabinets. they charge for luggage storage. rooms don't have locks and let in light at night. the outlet by my bed wasn't working. shower doors are kind of see through and there are no hooks/shelves inside the stalls. no events or atmosphere. on the plus side, the staff is wonderful and the location is great. the bathrooms are also very clean

Not far away from the main attractions, provided you are comfortable for a short walk. There is a supermarket in the adjacent building to take care of your daily needs.

The staff with hat always coming to room 3 days in morning and make the noise of the door while everybody sleeping at 1 am, 4 am, 7 am. Its rude, very disturbing. What the hell are you doin???

This location guarantees me a comfortable, clean and safe environment every time that I stay here. My experience is always a pleasant one. The staff rocks and I am staying here anytime I'm in DC. Already looking forward to my next visit

You can’t beat its location but I guess everything comes with a price, especially in DC. My room was in the basement but the bathroom is on the 1st floor and kitchen’s at the 4th floor. There’s no curtain in the room and they only have mixed dorms. But I will be here again for sure because of the location lol

Excelente ubicación. A 20 minutos caminando del Washington Mall. La atención del personal fue muy buena. Los locker de la habitación un poco pequeños. Los colchones no son tan cómodos pero nada mal para una estancia corta de 2 o 3 días. Buen precio para la ubicación. Buena relación precio-beneficio.

Didn't like thay their housing is split into two separate buildings. The room I was in for some reason kept changing the arrangement of beds. The locker was moved 3 times in 5 days. The shower curtan/door only covered half way of the bathtub. The bathroom did not have enough hooks or space to put down clothes and towels. The closet doors in the room was off the rails and space otherwise couldn't be utilized.

Great location and security. The hostel could use a larger more comfortable communal space for reading and discussions. Also, bathrooms were almost always short on toilet paper, especially late at night and early in the morning. Staff was personable and always friendly and responsive

Negatives: - Betten quietschen bei jeder Bewegung, Zimmer sehr eng, aber immerhin nicht stickig. - Es hat nur kleine Locker in den Zimmern, was an sich für Wertsachen ausreichen würde, wenn nicht schon alle belegt wären. - Keine Ablage am Bett für Brille, Handy beim Laden oä - Eine 5$ Fee für Gepäckaufbewahrung ist schon bisschen frech. Very good hostel, cheap and great service

Pancakes for breakfast every morning. Staff were pleasant, knowlegeable and helpful. Lots of stair climbing. overall a pleasant experience.

It's the cheapest hostel in DC so you get what you pay for. Overall it's fine, but I will say the 12 personne room in the basement with the machinery turning on and off all night long, and the fact that the room was too hot even though we were in February did make it a little hard to sleep.

For what the location lacks, the atmosphere and peace more than makes up for. And Breakfast, that was the feather in the cap of this place. I would certainly book again.

Good hostel, only drawbacks are the midnight check-ins (very intrusive)
