Hanoi High Five Hostel

Hostel needs a lot of work to improve. Bathrooms, stairs, and first floor were always messy and dirty. The dorms don’t look anything like the pictures. Top bunk bed has no space to store your belongings. Overall the whole hostel needs some deep cleaning as it was very dirty in lots of areas. Location is very good. Wouldn’t stay again

Bedroom doors didn’t lock so I didn’t feel safe staying there. Thankfully the lady at the front desk was very kind and refunded me.

We came late, the good things was that the reception was open. But Ours booked room was full so we was given a c*** room in the front area. No good stay.

Location was great and the staff were okay too but there was little to no vibe or atmosphere. Would be ok if you were just looking for a place to crash for the night. The only good thing about the hostel is that it has an interesting theme to the bedroom - hello kitty. Otherwise, the doors didn’t lock, the social atmosphere was close to none, and the receptionist charged me 60.000vnd to use the shower (even if I said I would use my own towel) after i checked out which I have never had a hostel before.

The room looked nothing like the photos. To start, the website said I’d pay 145 at the property and they told me 180 which I corrected and they refunded the difference. I paid for a 10 bed dorm and was given the 14. The hostel smells. And after seeing their version of cleaning is wiping the floor on hands and knees with only a towel to gather the liter along with a little spray, it makes sense. Just had a weird vibe, beds were like hospital beds and the bathrooms were very clean. Lucky we only booked one night which was fine.

Das Hostel liegt direkt an einer großen Straße und ist überhaupt nicht lärmgeschützt. Im ganzen Gebäude hängt ein komischer Geruch in der Luft und das Badezimmer war dreckig. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Es war in Ordnung um dort zu schlafen, aber wir würden nicht wiederkommen.

Very good hostel for chilling and relaxing m, not social at all, good relation quality/price. The toilets where clean :). Spacious rooms.

Great location! They also leave a towel and toothbrush on the bed without charging extra to rent. The pillow and comforter was so comfy and I slept amazing. Not a social hostel but to be honest that was exactly what I needed

Towel included and free breakfast which was good however bathrooms were not very clean and did not represent what was shown in pictures

Top location, easy breakfast, nice staff, good for the price:) my room was packed, but still okay for the price and it had curtains around the bed, what i liked, 2 lockers. Maybe not too clean and a weird smell in the air at the beginning. All in all, very happy:)

Abit run down but does the job. Good location. Breakfast is just ok, not amazing but great value as it’s including in the cheap price of the stay

The hostel has cameras in the room, not really clean. But for one night a cheap plce in Hanoi its okay👍🏻

awesome stay!! rooms were clean and spacious and staff was extremely helpful with booking tours , etc. also good bathrooms

The staff don’t speak that well English. One of the days I was able to have breakfast and the next day they told me that it’s not included in the price 🤷‍♀️ and they couldn’t explain to me why 🤷‍♀️ the location is good, grocery store nearby. There is a camera in the girls room… it has a red light the whole time, probably it’s working

la posizione è vicina al centro storico e abbastanza comoda, avevo prenotato una camera mista da 10 ma mi sono trovata in una da 12 pagando il prezzo per 10, le luci del bagno della camera non funzionavano e ho dovuto fare la doccia nella camera di altre persone al piano di sopra

Look, if you need a cheap place to stay for one night, like we did, then it works. But it’s not clean, the vibes are off, and there’s cameras in the dorm rooms. It’s close to the old quarter and where the bus leaves for Sapa, if not for these reasons I wouldn’t stay.

good location, friendly staff, clean rooms. Room had ac but was still a bit warm. I was sweating the first night. Asked another guest and she said she did too. there was a camera in the female dorms which I found odd even though they said it wasn't working (the light was blinking). they should just remove it entirely.

Only stayed for one night and didn't really see anyone else, everything was clean and did the job for the price I paid

The room advertised as 10 to the room, but had 15. Not that it matters at that point, but misleading nonetheless. There really are no amenities other than nice hot water and wifi. I did like the wooden step up to the top bunk as opposed to the typical iron steps. A nice plus is it's directly across the street from a Michelin star restaurant, which was very good.
