Bidea Hostel

The bunk beds are some of the worst I have experienced. They're not put together well and visibly swing when touched or when you move in the night. The mattress was simply awful. The worst "sleep" I've had in Colombia at this hostel

Siento tener que dejar esta review, porque el hostal en si estaba bastante bien. El problema fue la incompetencia por parte de algunos de los trabajadores. Nos quedamos 45 MINUTOS en la calle porque nadie nos abría la puerta. Después de media hora llegó el chico y dijo que no nos había escuchado. Imposible: gritamos y tocamos la puerta muy fuerte durante 30 minutos. Nos pregunto porque no teníamos llave: muy raro, ya que el otro chico nos dijo que en este hostal no hay llaves. Inaceptable

The hostel staff are very welcoming and breakfast is delicious and complimentary. We stayed in the 3 bed room shared bathroom and felt very safe. The decor and setting of the hostel is very traditional and pretty and our bedroom was very clean. However the shower room could have been much better. I had a trickle of cold water, and my friend had drops of boiling hot water. No in-between. The upstairs shared bathroom was also flooded a lot and had no floor towel and overflowing bin.

Mixed. Angie was very helpful with travel plans. A few different places to relax. The toilet was broken. I mentioned first day and on day three (stayed two nights), there was no sign nor repair. All of my food in fridge, and it was labeled with checkout date and name, was thrown out, when fridge was being cleaned by cleaning staff. This happened to everyone staying at hostel. No electrical outlet per bed. Need to share with other bunk bed. Bed sinks in middle. Shower temp so-so

Affordable, but not very comfortable: - bad insulation from noise coming from the street - rather cold in the room (and hence very humid) - there was no running water when we stayed - limited social interactions

Really nice property with big courtyard and we were lucky enough to get a complimentary breakfast. The staff were really helpful and the location is excellent. Complaints are that it was very loud from outside as well as the squeaky bunk beds. Our dorm room didn’t fully shut either which meant we got extra light and noise from outsidez

No water. Bathrooms dirty. Cold. Noisy!

Super friendly staff and great atmosphere, but in need of a few major improvements. The "hot" showers are basically useless as you can only get warmth if you turn the water down to a drip. Also, we were served bread that was clearly 2-3 days old at breakfast as it was inedible, hard as a rock. Location fantastic - Filandia is wonderful!

Lovely stay in Filandia. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, and the staff were always kind, helpful and communicative. The kitchens were functional, but some equipment was worse for wear which made cooking interesting. While noise is to be expected at a hostel, the walls are particularly thin - this would be fine usually, but there was a guest or volunteer playing guitar all day we were there and after curfew which was inescapable. In all, a great place but not a place for rest.

Excelente espacio, muy bien pensando para las necesidades de alguien que viaja ligero.

The Hostel (location and vibe) was really good and the people working there where nice. But there was a complication when booking. And the staff took quite a lot of money from me, saying I had to pay 50 % more, which I was fine with. In the end I had to pay more than 65 %.

On the plus side, it's a pretty old building and the cat (Gabriel) and breakfast were both nice. But on the minus one, it was impossible to sleep because of traffic noise, and the room was cold because there's no insulation - which is why it's so noisy - precisely because the building hasn't been modernised. I had to move out after one night. The upstairs kitchen isn't great and there was no water in the toilet cistern during the night or the shower in the morning either.

Schönes, sehr sauberes Hostel. Moderne Zimmer, nettes Personal. Frühstück inklusive.

Super, personnel agréable, petit déj, cuisine pratique pour rencontrer du monde. Les lits des dortoirs bougeaient énormément, impossible de dormir sereinement mais ils ont été re-fixés par la suite. OUF!

We had a very nice stay! The hostel is very clean and the owner Alejandro is the best and even ran with us to the bus stop as we were late hahah, thanks a lot!

Excelente ambiente y ubicación. El staff muy agradable y servicial, me quedé muy agradecida con el apoyo de Alex, Andy y la señora que prepara los desayunos por su cordialidad y su apoyo ante el objeto que extravié en mi estadía

Hermoso hostel, todo muy cómodo y bien mantenido. Muy limpio y con muchos espacios para estar, bien equipado.

Super accueil par Freddy le premier soir et Alejandro le lendemain qui connaît parfaitement Filandia et qui ne m’a fait que de bonnes recommandations. Les deux ont été très dispo pendant tout mon séjour. L’emplacement est parfait et les installations aussi (cuisine, espace commun). Très bon petit déjeuner. Seul petit point négatif, j’étais sur un lit en bas et les prises étaient sur le lit du haut, pas très pratique. Super rapport qualité prix

+Very beautiful patio that I think is not even shown on Hostelworld (look at booking.com) +Nice and free breakfast + coffee (not served all day like it says, only in morning) +Clean +”Well” equipped kitchen, compares to a lot others -Not all dorm rooms have curtains and locker (only small ones outside). Therefore we books private -Hot water ran out mid shower, and you did not get a lot of water to start with. Also it’s boiling hot. -Very cold at night (outdoor temp) but they provide...

We cannot say enough great things about the Bidea Hostel. We loved it. From the super friendly staff, the clean room and quaint facilities, charming building, the included breakfast, and the lovely town of Filandia, we recommend taking the trip to Filandia and staying here.

Le personnel est adorable, toujours prêt à aider. L’hostel est bien placé et le petit dej inclus très appréciable. Le seul petit bémol c’est l’isolation. Il n’y avait pas de vitre dans le dortoir, juste des volets en bois. Il pouvait faire froid la nuit et on entendait tout ce qui se passait à l’extérieur.

The staff was great, thanks to Luciana for re workiny my Eje Cafetero plan and pointing me to the right activities. Something to know is that in Filanda, sometimes the village loses water access. It happen for a full day while I was there and it was common!

Bien situé, a deux blocs de la place. Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin avec un agréable espace extérieur. Petit dejeuner très bien Dortoir bruyant car sur rue.
