Funny Riverside Backpackers

Booked this through hostel world for 2 nights, before I flew to Luang Prabang there was a bed bug situation. Spoke to few girls who were staying in the same hostel and they mentioned it was only in one room so I decide to stay there. I was in the female dorm, the fan was making weird noises and the AC is turned off from 8am to 9 pm to reduce carbon footprint. It was so hot & humid to the extent I couldn’t stay there and moved to a hotel. The view from the common area of the hostel is quite good but not super clean overall

nice vibe and cool place but I had an issue with my bed having bed bugs. I saw one crawling and told the staff, who were nice but didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I decided to leave early as I woke up with bites but only got refunded for less than one night. I think overall it didn't feel the cleanest which was a shame because the place is really nice and good location! A couple of other people also found bed bugs in their rooms too

Ok stay, sheets and pillow were clean but blanket smelt funny and I’ve woken up with bed bug bites everywhere. Good for organising taxis staff are lovley. Aircon and water are temperamental.
