Will never try next time

The room was too small. Didn't have room to move around. The bathroom and shower had a black mold growing and smelled pretty bad. The kitchen was too dark, with not enough light, so it was like cooking in a dungeon. The chairs in the kitchen was filthy. I was very unhappy staying there. I couldn't wait to get out.

The hostel was not accommodating at all despite highlighting medical reasons and willingness to show records. They prioritize money over customer service and support.

The most dirty hostel I ever done

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It was the most bizarre experience I have had in all the places I have been so far. The only good thing is that I have not been robbed or beaten up.

Rooms smelled horrible, bathrooms were dirty, lots of mosquitoes, it was very uncomfortable. Not worth it imo. Just pay 2 euros more and go to a better hostel.

It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I went with some hesitation and fear because of the crowded environment, but it was a very safe hostel; I felt like I was at home with my family. The receptionist was American. Many thanks to Shmes Edven, Lucy from the Netherlands, and the hostel manager, Mr. Tahsin. By the way, the hostel is located in a bustling area, right below the Galata Tower. 😊

Met the best people here, great community vibe everyone was so friendly and down to go out together around town. The hostel has a cute rooftop, a coworking/indoor hangout space and a well equipped kitchen! Even had free tea :) the cleaner in the dorm came around once a day so the room/bathroom were kept very clean as well! Great location as well if u want to be able to explore by walking :)

Falta bastante limpieza en algunos lugares comunes, sobre todo la cocina, el resto de espacios está acorde a su precio... Es un sitio muy asequible económicamente, por lo que no hay que esperar grandes lujos

Galata West hostel is in an excellent location and is a really chill, laid back hostel if you want a relaxing few days in Istanbul. The staff were super friendly and accommodating - Esteban was exceptionally helpful and funny! I highly recommend staying here for a really pleasant few days in such a bustling city!

I enjoyed my stay here. The location staff and the other travellers all make this place a very good base to explored Istanbul. A big plus was the owner and staff who spoke English which makes getting information super easy. I would recommend this place and hope I will stay here again in the near future.

Me quedé para descansar en mi larga escala en Estambul, estuvo bien para el precio y la ubicación. Si me hubiera quedado más tiempo tal vez la comodidad de las camas me quedaría a dever y también en la limpieza. Aunque también todo está acorde al precio. Me quedaría nuevamente ahí.

Good location, bed was comfortable, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I wish bed had a light and bigger space for luggage but it fit the bill for exploring tourist areas Jacob charts

Nice for the price you pay. Hard to comment on the vibes as we were there in off season but everyone was friendly. Didn’t love the dorm ensuite bathroom.

Great location and great reception, the owner is very friendly and made me feel at home.

Great social roof top balcony with a stunning view centrally located close to all major sights on the European side.

Personal fantástico y buen ambiente. Pará pasar unos dias está muy bien.

The people were really nice they were really funny and they showed me where to go get my edm on so I loved it overall. I guess the people have the capacity to make the experience sometimes over the facility so I enjoyed my stay.

Stay was okay. It was good enough for the price but you can't expect much

Auberge bien située avec des prix attractifs. L'entrée est un peu difficile à trouver. Staff très sympa et de bon conseils. Petit bémol car l'auberge est petite et manque de plus de coins de convivialité, et il y avait pas mal de poussière dans le dortoir.

Pas l’auberge la plus propre ni la plus confortable que vous trouverez à Istanbul mais c’est ok pour quelques jours, la localisation est vraiment top et le personnel est super agréable !

If only the gas boiler - it lacks gas why i could not stay any longer- could be fixed, it would be perfect.
