LyLo Christchurch Airport

Our ensuite room was more spacious than expected. There was one bed bug but we did not get bitten overnight so that's... good? I honestly didnt bother telling the staff because the one working at the desk did not seem very attentive to guests and we highly doubted they'd let us switch rooms. Otherwise, the room was good, and location was very convenient next to shops, food, gym, and of course the airport.

1.Crowded. The common room was busy. 2.My bed had bed bugs. Took a shower and climbed up in bed and as soon as I put my head on the pillow, something bit me on the back of my neck then my legs and back. Pulled out my sheet and sleeping bag liner but the damage was already done. 3.bed was umcomfy. Felt the metal where the bed sits all night. No matter which position and which side I slept on. This has been the only bad experience while staying at a hostel. 4. Hot inside the pods. Never will I want to stay at Lylo. The pods wete hot inside. Ended up raising the screen to the top and sleeping on the othe end of the bed to get some air and try to get some cushion. Tried the fan but that was noisy. The USB light was too bright inside the pod. At one point wanted to ho ask for my money back. Could not have another room or bed because they were fully booked I was told.

The room looked clean, but the bath towels and sheets were actually dirty. I was bitten by bed bugs after one night and my feet were allergic.

Everything positive I could stay about this say gets completely overshadowed by the severe bed bug bites I had on my arms and legs.
