I got scabies or bedbugs after staying in one of the rooms. I’m covered head to toe in bites. Really would not recommend this place, staff were also quite unfriendly and the weird hostel / corporate hotel vibe is just odd. Booked what I thought was a hotel rooms here, I arrive and it’s some dorm type room they’ve just made private…

Myself and my friend 10000% left with bed bug bites after our stay at this place. I am now home and my skin is literally covered. For the cleanliness, distance from the city and overall unfriendly hotel staff, I would NEVER recommend or stay again.

I stayed in Meininger hotel Amstel in August 2022. The hotel seemed fine at first but when we got to our hotel room I discovered that the room had bedbugs. We informed the staff and we got a refund for the first night and got a new room. I thought that they handled the situation well until a while later they came knocking into our room door and accused me of lying and the staff said that the towel was not theirs. I was astonished by this. Luckily I had video proof of the bedbugs that showed the time and the location. Everything would have been fine if the staff would have not accused me of lying for no reason which made me feel very uncomfortable. It is horrible enough to get a room with bedbugs. I do not think that the staff handled this situation professionally.
