YHA Keswick

Horrible.

Not actually a hostel anymore. Terrible for the lone traveller who just wants a single bed in shared dorm, cheaper just to book a hotel for one now instead of a whole room at this fake hostel

A hostel that now refuses to offer individual dorm beds and only rents to private groups in order to make more money using covid as an excuse still in 2023. Not an appropriate attitude for a registered charity.

Undergoing lots of changes at the moment and more expensive than the other hostel in Keswick

Terrible hospitality and very difficult to to get between rooms ext. Poor kept maintence but at least it's scenic

What a shame YHA seems to have left it's founding principles behind. £180 for two adults and one child overnight stay 🤔

The hostel is nicely located, well looked after, and the staff is friendly. However, the main point, the overall reason to book a place, is to get to sleep. This particular is the most important criteria. And unfortunately this has to be the most uncomfortable bed I've had to sleep in, together with a noisy metal bed frame. Do not forget your own mattress or your back will remember it for a while.

I visited the the cafe which was excellent; lovely coffee.

Lovely family stay at this hostel, for several nights in April, in an ensuite room. Fast flowing river outside gave wonderful 'white noise', we all slept really well. Very clean, well equipped kitchen for self catering. Friendly staff, lovely community atmosphere, a welcoming place. Keswick has plenty of food options, as well as at least two supermarkets. Plenty of buses nearby if you are reliant on public transport.

Probably thr most uncomfortable mattresses I've tried to sleep on in a yha. Security for the kitchen is inadequate. The rest is OK.

Fantastic location, convenient for everything in Keswick and beyond. Our room even had a balcony, overlooking the river, park & hills beyond. Really friendly welcome at Reception, and the whole place feels friendly. The hostel is well-maintained, with good facilities. Our room was excellent value.

Acceuil sympathique. Très bien situé et propre.

Отличное место для посетителей городка. Уютно, чисто, прекрасный вид. Парковка и центр города в шаговой доступности.

Top accommodatie. Lekker uiten. Drooghok werkt wat minder goed.

Estuvimos muy agusto, buena cocina y zona de estar. Repetiria.

La zona es preciosa, este your hostel está muy bien situado y es económico, excepto el desayuno que no compensa. Muy limpio.
