Kerton Hostel

Unfortunately, the rooms don't look like the pictures. It's dark and the bathrooms don't have windows, which means that mosquitoes always come into the room. The beds were clean and very hard. The showers and the sinks are in a very run-down and unhygienic condition. I also suddenly got a rash on my skin. Had to check out early. Maybe other rooms are better, but unfortunately I wasn't satisfied and you can get a lot better for the price! The only positive thing was that the staff were very nice!

Was pretty disappointing! Aircon was awful for anyone on the lower bunk, my storage bit hadn’t been cleaned I had to hold my charger it for it to charge as the plug was hanging out the wall

I did not like the hostel that much...it was not really clean, there was no window in the room and the window in the bathroom had no mosquitonet, there was mold? Over my bed and it is absolutly not a social hostel, no one in the common area and the people in the dorm are just staying behind the curtains. Weird atmosphere. The staff is friendly though!

Die Mitarbeiter waren wirklich super lieb, das wars allerdings leider auch schon :( Die Zimmer stinken extrems nach Schimmel und es ist super viel Feuchtigkeit im Zimmer. Der Geruch ist kaum aushaltbar und wird versucht mit super nervigen Raumerfrischern zu überdecken, welche alle 5 Minuten sprühen. Die Atmosphäre hätte auch besser sein können.

Stayed 2 nights, dorm was alright, not the cleanest room/bathroom & reasonably loud at night due to bars next door. Steps up to top bunk rather than ladders which is amazing. Not much social/vibe. Location close to the beach & bars/restaurants but nothing ‘our vibe’, we mostly got grabs to busier area.

Not as clean as the pictures would have you believe. The room has quite the humidity and smells a little moldy unfortunately. The staff was very nice however. Not the most social hostel.

The toilet stank so badly that the whole room was like wading in p**.

Okay for one night stay. Room was damp and smelt like mould. Not very social. Strange setup with the bathroom. Very noisy in the morning.

In the main area everyone smoked weed. The bathrooms downstairs are connected to the restaurant next door. A little weird. Place is further nice. We had a 4 female dorm. Very big. And the bathroom was really nice! It’s just not pleasant not being able to sit in the main area because of the constant smell of weed

Hele lieve behulpzame eigennaren. Zijn bereid om je met alles te helpen. Locatie is alleen voor backpackers niet heel erg ideaal. Je zit veel tussen de gezinnen en de ouderen in. Verder is het niet een heel sociaal hostel. Verder wel goede bedden en schoon. Kijk prima terug op mijn verblijf!

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Hostel und haben den aufenthalt sehr genossen! Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber und auch das Badezimmer war für 4 Personen mehr als ausreichend Außerdem ist die Dame am Empfang ein absoluter Engel! Super hilfsbereit und tut alles um einem zu helfen!!

Nice place to stay, near to the beach and restaurants

The hostel had a pretty good location and was very peaceful and calm, close to the beach, seven eleven, restaurants etc. The staff was lovely and helpful, the check in was smooth and we got to check in early! we booked 2 beds in a 4 bed female dorm and it was pretty good with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The only thing to note is that the lockers don't have locks so you need to bring your own, and the lock hole is in an awkward place so some locks don't fit.

Gutes Hostel und sehr nette Mitarbeiter - aber sehr touristische Area und die Gäste dort überwiegend Sprallos - wer was zum connecten sucht ist dort defintiv falsch.

Great location- near convenience stores, the night market and the beach. The staff were lovely and there was 24hour reception, they also helped us book our onward transfer. The beds in the rooms gave you a lot of privacy with curtains all the way around and the rooms are en-suite.

Good hostel in a really good location- close to the beach and loads of bars and restaurants around. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Only negative is the room gets quite damp and smells a bit off.

Nice chill hostel, lacks atmosphere though.

The hostel rooms are very damp and do not smell great. They don’t have windows so are really dark. There isn’t much of a social vibe at all. It is in a great location and near the night market so that’s a positive. The lady on reception is also absolutely lovely and super helpful.

Nice hostel, in a lovely town with a great food market! Hostel was nice, four to a dorm with a bathroom was lovely! Beds were big and spacious.

Enjoyed our stay the staff were super lovely. The room had a weird smell and the wifi wasn’t great. Not much of a social aspect. Free Cold filtered water was amazing

Stayed in this Hostel for 14 days, Service was excellent. The rooms were clean, everything Perfect

This hostel is great! Super clean and staff is very kind and welcoming. Beds are comfy enough. The curtains are a great addition. Bathrooms are excellent, super clean and private. Hostel is in a great location walking distance to everything. The only downside is it’s not very social, I didn’t mind this but just don’t come here expecting to make a ton of friends.

The best hostel in Lamai! Enjoyed my stay here so much, I extended for 3 more nights. Was able to hire a bike really easily and for the cheapest rate. Reception ladies are so friendly. Would definitely stay here again

The staff at Kerton hostel were lovely and happy to help with any requests / questions I had. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here

Die Unterkunft liegt gut und ist sauber und das Personal ist super lieb. Aber ich habe mich nicht Wohlgefühlt, es gab keinen richtigen Ort um Menschen zu treffen. Die ganze Stimmung dort war einfach etwas komisch. Ich würde deshalb nicht mehr wieder kommen:(
