Book a Bed Hostels

The pub itself is quite nice, but the hostel itself was abysmal. The showers and toilets were unpleasant; only 2/4 of the shower cubicles were able to be locked; the facets were loosely attached, ridden with limescale and often stopped running without warning; the showers were equally ridden with limescale and did not have hot water on occasion; the bed I slept in came with bed bugs which have now followed me on my travels. I would not recommend this hostel, nor will I be returning in future.

Worst place to stay at, bed bugs, felt really unsafe. Booking.com is also scam posting this as a good place to stay.

Location and staff are nice. However common areas are very durty and bed are infected with bedbugs

I don’t like giving bad reviews but I genuinely want to warn other travelers. Do not come to this hostel - waste of money. Hostel is located in the Lewisham area of which is surrounded by social housing and has dodgy people walking around everywhere. Staff weren’t rude but weren’t that friendly either, room was boiling hot and I noticed two bed bugs on my mattress. Check in is confusing and the public transport is far and extremely limited. You’re way better off paying more and staying central.

Unfortunately I was brutally bitten by bed bugs. I have allergic reactions to them so I came back from London with not really nice souvenirs on my skin. Although the room was nice, the bathrooms and corridors were giving my creeps. It was cleaned daily and it was visible, but the carpets and bathrooms were still visibly wore off. The microwave and kettle on the corridor were making people stay there and making the place crowded, and since there was almost none ventilation there all the smells were mixing and coming to the rooms. I stayed there three nights and only the last night they hanged curtains on the bed (which were suppose to be there every night). My bed was shaking anytime somebody from the bed next to me was doing something (not even on my bed which was weird).

The rooms where next to the toilets where you could hear every flush, hand dryer and toilet doors banging. Some people would just come to speak with their phone in the middle of the night and so on. One mattress in the rooms where bended and reminded more a hammock then a bed. Moldy soap, disoriented staff, smell of gas. Would only reccomend if no other options are available.

I didn't move forward w my reservation, I will take the loss. Recent reviews of BED BUGS and them not being taken seriously by staff and sexual violence going on was enough to keep me away.

Nothing like the photos. After reading so many reviews about bedbugs, I checked my matress and it was filled with stains. The bedroom has very bad lighting and the walls are very thin. I could hear everyone using the toilets. The showers were unclean and very exposed, almost no privacy. Not the best location if you are looking to see the sights. It’s impossible to get your money back at this place, so be sure about it when you book. The staff was the only nice thing about this hostel.

Infested with bedbugs, horrible sketchy area. rooms are ok and clean but book only if you want to wake up with bed bug bites all around your body and face. The area where the hotel is doesn't feel safe. Thank God I only booked 1 night there... definitely not tourist friendly.

Do not use this hotel !!! , my bed was infested with bedbugs I was covered with bits the next morning , when I complained to staff they were rude and refused to accept

I cannot stress enough how horrible my experience at this hostel was, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. When I first arrived, I found blood stains on the floor in my room. I immediately complained, but the staff dismissed my concerns, claiming it wasn’t blood, and simply moved me to another room. The second room was where things took a terrifying turn. At 6 AM, I was woken up by a guest in my dorm screaming that she had been sexually assaulted by another person in the hostel. The situation quickly escalated, and the police were called to attend to the incident—right in my dorm room. I was involuntarily dragged into the situation, stuck in the room while the authorities arrived, with no staff members present to assist or support me. I felt completely unsafe and helpless, especially considering there was no one on-site to manage the crisis. This hostel is not only filthy but also incredibly unsafe. The area around it is sketchy, and it clearly attracts people with questionable intentions. The cheap, rundown nature of the place seems to draw in unsavory characters, making it a very uncomfortable and dangerous place to stay. On top of all of this, I suspect the hostel had bed bugs, which only added to the horror of my stay. I’ve never felt more unsafe or uncomfortable in a hostel. The lack of staff support, the dire conditions, and the dangerous environment make this place one I would never, ever recommend to anyone. Please, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from here.

Smells weird and I got bed bugs

We left a night early because we couldn’t stay any longer. Nowhere in the listing it is said that the shared bathrooms are not separated for females and males- we felt very unsafe, especially when we heard a man moaning in the next shower stall. Our room was right opposite the toilet stalls, there was no other door than to our room that had gaps which meant we hard everything going on in the toilets through the whole night so we got almost no sleep. Obviously it’s also unhygienic. We talked with the owner and there was not a bit of reflection of the situation.

Terrible noise coming fromt the street in the night, people fighting etc. Stains on bed sheet and cover 9 people / room Bitten by bed bugs all over Had to take a shower with freezing cold water, no hot water was available

Z pobytu jsem si přivezla mnoho štípanců od ŠTĚNIC! (bed bugs) Toalety a sprchy špinavé a extra malé. Nepřehledný vstup ( jde se přes bar) Budova s absolutně starými schody a celkově to působilo omšele. Pokoj jako takový hezký, jen ty broučci to zkazili.

Staff seem to be friendly enough and ordering food is very convenient with Royal Standard/,UberEats (especially with discounts to all hostel guests).There was a strong, musky odor amost the beds, indicating there might be bedbugs which may have to be investigated.

The private room I had booked was clean and I can already tell that I didn’t have any bedbugs. The lighting also was sufficient and I even had a TV and a fan. The hostel really is nosy and there should be signs to tell people that doors have handles which can be used… Also the microwave and the fridge was practical but directly outside my and other people’s bedroom so I could hear people heat their stuff day and night and I could also smell it. Maybe put it some place else.. ?

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER. Bedbugs EVERYWHERE! Making noises till 3 in the night because yeah they’re drunk. Didn’t feel safe. And am covered from tip to toes in bitmarkes of the BEDBUGS! needed to steam clean everything so I wouldn’t bring it home! Please CLOSE this place down

Stayed for 2 nights in a private room. Room was nice & clean but on the second night saw bed bugs. My room was next to a microwave in the corridor and it constantly smelled awful. There were lots of older men always hanging out by the microwave and I didn’t feel comfortable at all. The bathrooms were a bit rough, but I hardly used them because it meant needing to be in the corridor. Not a great place for young females, but it is cheap + ok location. Took £5 deposit for key, haven’t been refunded

horrible BED BUGS!! This place is disgusting. The facility is very neglected and dilapidated. Dirty, damaged sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, it resembles a night shelter for homeless people.

- BED BUGS! Bed curtains all bloody from squished, dead Bed Bugs - Check out is at 11:00. At 9:00, the manager came and told me I have to leave RIGHT NOW, because "workers are coming". It was pest control for the bed bugs. Offered a different room, but couldn't give me a key. Opened door and told me to leave it open. When I told him I don't want my things stolen, he said "nobody is going to steal your DIRTY BOXERS". - October. Room was so COLD (heater not working) that my towel didn't dry in 20hours. Slept in socks and hoodie - ONE SINK in dirty bathroom, next to a BROKEN WINDOW that won't close. Had to go 1 floor down, to the showers, to wash my hands. - 1 OUT OF 5 SHOWERS WORKED. Only boiling hot water in others. Waited 30min in line. - MOULDY SHOWER. Stinks of wet hair and mucus. - MOULDY CEILING - Area seemed sketchy and unsafe. STABBING at store 3min walk away - Keycard to room is only for show. Door opens without it. Anyone can enter from the street. - Cleaning lady didn't rinse mop. Left floor wet and stinky in room - Narrow staircase without handrail. Unsafe. Had to go back down to let someone past. - Bathroom stall door barely closed. Didn't feel safe - Wall sockets in room have exposed wires - Was not given a pillow case - Restaurant / reception closed until 3pm. Nowhere to sit and work - BONUS: I've never had guests as rude as here.

Managed to book at 11.30pm. Staff answer the phone. Female dorm bed at £13.50. Friendly staff, Bruno. Brill. Lots of stairs upto fl2 women's dorm. Privacy curtains on all bunk beds. No sheets on bed which was strange. I think there are bedbugs biting me. Bring a sleeping bag. I know the area. Deptford is zone 2 but not safe at night. Stick to the main roads. Local cafe Jenny's opens early for a cheap, hot breakfast.

Simply horrible, Bed bugs, dirty sheets, dirty rooms with paints peeling off and don't ever leave a deposit at check inn cause you will not get it back. Why hasn't this place been shut down i simply don't understand how you can be running such a unhealthy space. The boy Ade is just a fraud! don't let him deceive you.

BEDBUGS everywhere. Dirty place. Guests who used to live in there and are not friendly. There’s no common area and the pub downstairs is very quiet even during the weekends. Bad area. Definetly worth spend a couple of pounds more and stay in a better place. The worst hostel I’ve been in London.
