From previous reviews there were complaints about there only being one bathroom and one shower but this wasn’t a problem during my stay. I was also really stressed about there being bed bugs but again there wasn’t nothing to worry about.

Beware of this hostel they have bed bugs! I told the worker and he acted as if he didn’t know what that was, disgusting. The owner came hours later and never said a word to me or apologized for the inconvenience of the situation; No refund either. There is only one restroom and one bathroom for about 15/20 ish people. Also our food was eaten, even though our name was on the food! Lastly, there was an older man with a dog sleeping in one of the beds. I love dogs but it doesn’t say dogs are allowe

Had a fantastic time during my stay. At first I was skeptical given some of negative reviews about bed bugs at the hostel. I asked if I can check my bed before I check in. The staff were welcoming and reassured about the hygiene and safety of the place. It seems to be an issue in the past. The location is v central. They have a range of free teas and coffees for the guests. Looking forward to staying again when in Ljubljana.

Probably because once you’re outside, you’re free again. Everything else inside feels like a punishment for enjoying central Ljubljana. Facilities? Adorable. One toilet for about 14 people, because sharing is caring, right? One shower, so please plan your hygiene like a military operation. Miss your slot and congratulations, you’re embracing your natural scent for the day. The common area is less of a common area and more of a decorative suggestion. If one person decides to cook, everyone else must step back and watch respectfully like it’s a sacred ritual. Two people in the kitchen at once would be a safety hazard. The owner appears to treat the hostel like a side quest. I didn’t see him for two days, and when he finally appeared, it was for a solid three hours, just enough time to remind everyone that no one is actually in charge. The beds are masterpieces of acoustic engineering. If someone on the upper bunk even thinks about moving, the entire room wakes up. Nighttime turns into a symphony of metal screams and regret. Now let’s talk about hospitality. One volunteer took it upon himself to be openly racist toward an Indian guest and also toward me. Windows were shut tight at night because he felt cold. Ventilation? Fresh air? Absolutely not. When an Indian guest tried to open a window to breathe, he was yelled at and told, “This is a hostel, if you have a problem go to a 5 star hotel.” Bold words for a place charging 18 euros per night for one toilet, one shower, and emotional damage. Sleeping was nearly impossible, but wait, there’s more. One girl spent the night fighting bed bugs like she was in a survival documentary. She woke everyone up, and honestly, fair enough. Nothing builds community like collectively realizing you might be feeding insects while you sleep. This place isn’t cheap, it isn’t comfortable, and it definitely isn’t welcoming. But if you’re into overcrowding, noise, bad management, casual racism, and surprise bed bug encounters, Fluxus Hostel might just be your dream destination. For everyone else, do yourself a favor and keep walking.

there were bedbugs, got bitten several times and had to wash all my stuff at +60ºC... at least they refund me for the night I stayed there. didn't see anyone from the staff because they're only there for 3 hours a day. you have to go through another room if you want to use the shower or the toilet.

It’s a glorified 14 bed room, with one shower and one toilet. In the 6 bed you have to walk through the 8 bed room to get to the door or bathroom. Bunk beds were so wiggly and felt like they’d break. Bathrooms were dirty the whole time we were there. The shower was in the 6 bed room so you have 8 other people constantly walking into your room. Maybe not bed bugs but there was definitely some sort of bug that bit me I have 10s of bites. Only saving grace is the location. it smelt and no air flow.

Overall the hostel was alright. Around 14 people share one toilet and one toilet, which is a little tight but manageable. The staff was nice, but on the second evening of our stay we found bedbugs. It’s not the hostel’s fault that the bugs came, but apparently they were already discovered in the morning and we weren’t told, which is not okay. We had to find a new place to stay. Fortunately our last night was refunded, but the situation should still have been handled differently.

A fuir!! Punaise de lit!! Nous avons pris trois nuits dans cette auberge et résultats, pleins de piqûre de punaise de lit, achat de médicament pour réaction allergique, gros budget laverie car début du voyage, pleins de frais!! Le patron a été hyper désagréable, il a refusé de nous rembourser en disant « pas de preuve que se soit des punaise de lit » or quand on regarde les commentaires, c’est écrit de partout!! Nous avons échanger plusieurs mail et le patron a fini par nous rembourser seulement 30€ et nous a quand même dit « la prochaine fois vous avez qu’à regarder les avis! ». Personnage vraiment grotesque!

I got bed bugs at this hostel!! Since I'm not the first to report this in the reviews, it seems to be a long-standing problem at the hostel, which makes the situation even worse. I recommend to you: don’t book this hostel.

Only one toilet and one shower for 18 people. A dorm of 6 and a dorm of 8 are really a dorm of 14 if guests must routinely pass through each room to use the shower or to leave. The staff were rarely available. The washer and dryer were rarely available (due to the hostel sheets being washed). Finally, on our last day we found a bed bug in one of the beds.

Unfortunately, there were bed bugs in my bed. I didn't have to search for them, I saw one running around in the morning, I imagine there were more (I didn't want to check). I ended up throwing my clothes away to prevent infestation to the rest of my luggage. I never saw the staff, as I checked out as soon as possible to stay away from the bugs. It's a slightly weird layout, and is very overpriced considering the toilet is shared between 14+ people and the clear bedbug infestation that is ongoing. I was refunded for my bed after the fact, but clearly the owners don't care about the bugs! Just pay the extra money and don't risk bed bugs! The bedbugs are clearly here to stay!!!

This hostel clearly has an ongoing bedbug issue that they do not want to deal with. We stayed one night before having to leave due to bedbugs being found in bunks and in people’s clothes. This hostel should close and deal with their cleanliness issues before other unsuspecting guests end up in the same situation. Do not stay here. I will say the staff were helpful enough to refund 2 nights of our stay.

En la habitación había trampa para chinches de colchón y en el colchón habían chinches, no puse mucha atención, pues ya era tarde y solo iban a ser dos noches, ahora tengo el cuerpo con mucha picazón y lleno de ronchas! Puedo enviar evidencia si así lo requieren, no recomiendo este sitio!

que tienes que pasar la habitación de 8 personas para llegar a la de 6, que solo había un baño y una regadera para todos, pero igual uno se podría turnar lo que si me pasó es que me picaron las chinches 😢

Bed bugs, how to ruin a vacation.

Nice spacious dorm space, very orderly, however one roommate got bedbug bites.

Super nettes Personal und top Lage mit alternativem Charme. Leider waren die Betten wackelig und unpraktisch; ich hatte das obere Bett und bekam blaue Flecken, da ich beim Abstieg oft an der kleinen Leiter hängenblieb. Ein Hund schlief mit im Zimmer – eine Vorabinfo wäre gut gewesen, besonders wenn man über ihm schläft. Die Frau unter mir bekam nach der ersten Nacht Stiche, vermutlich von Bettwanzen oder Flöhen. Während des Aufenthalts hatte ich keine Probleme, aber zuhause im Gepäck.

We decided to stay at this hostel, as it seemed nice enough. The very first evening, a roommate found bedbugs in her bunk and we had to leave and stay at a hotel instead. While the hostel cancelled the next night of our stay, they would not budge on charging us for the night that we had to leave due to them having a bedbugs infestation. When I expressed doubt that they took the situation seriously , they accused me of blackmail... An overall terrible experience. Do not recommend.

I have never been that surprisingly disappointed in a hostel. The layout is just plainly stupid as the ONE shower room makes you cross both dorms. Also only one toilet for the whole hostel. They also let couples sleep in one bed and thus kind of forced the dorm to be the common room as well. Didn't find bedbugs, but read about it from others. Also the staff is only available on person ~2h a day. Shame, because actually I liked the cozy and personal style. Would not recommend more than one night

Go for it! It is a very chill place! I was worried about sharing the bathroom with 16 people but to my surprise it works out really well! The facilities and staff are great. Although there was a concern about bed bugs but the staff was very active about the situation and sorted it out.

Die Unterkunft wirkte sauber und gepflegt, allerdings haben wir am dritten Tag festgestellt, dass die Zimmer voller Bettwanzen sind. Der ganze Körper ist voll mit Bissen. Wir mussten unsere Reise abbrechen. Dieser Zustand wurde mit keinem Wort irgendwie erwähnt, obwohl der Hostelbesitzer nicht überrascht war als wir ihn darauf aufmerksam machten. Das Problem besteht also schon länger. Wir wurden dann mit einer minimalen Entschädung abgefrühstückt. Eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Ich würde dieses Hostel niemandem weiterempfehlen.

The beds were wobbly, there was a bathroom that was not at all functional for around fifteen people. Apparently there were bedbugs... People stole my stuff.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Leider haben wir Bettwanzen mit nach Hause genommen, da andere Gäste diese im Gepäck hatten.

The location and the apartment are very good. The only problem I had was the bedbugs. I woke up in the middle of the night with at least 5 walking on the bed. I couldn’t sleep there and had to ask the following morning for a refund. The lady was super nice and explained to me she just works there and the owner could come to talk to me. I decided to leave but the same day later when I came back to pick my luggage, they put a new guest to sleep in the same bed. I don’t think that’s professional when you are aware of such a bad situation. The right thing to do when you have bedbugs on a hostel: cancel and replace all the guests, call for a specific company to clean with specific products the whole area. Not only wash the bedsheet and replace a new person.

It’s a scam! Hostel is infested with bed bugs. I don’t know what to do if I carry bed bugs with me back home. Worst experience of my travels!

What a shame! I am staying up all night with nowhere to go and nowhere to sleep because the hostel is full of bed bugs. The intention of the trip was to relax and see a new place. Now, I am going back with fear and anxiety that I am carrying back bed bugs with me. Worst experience ever!

Pretty much your standard, small hostel (only two dorms, no common area, layout and only one toilet and shower). But, I got bedbugs. To be fair, this can happen in any hotel/hostel, and the manager/owner(?) did get me antihistamine cream first thing in the morning and seemed proactive about dealing with the bedding, etc, but there are several recent reviews mentioning bedbugs that the hostel says are fake and/or the situation is under control. Maybe it will be, but as of last night, it's not.

*BEDBUG ALERT* This hostel has a bedbug problem and I feel like it is not being handled properly. At first signs the owner tried to brush away the problem saying reviews were lying about the bedbugs. Then I actually saw one in a trap and decided to get out as soon as I could. The owner did give me a refund, but also wrote to me in a mail that "it was not appropriate of me to warn the other guests" and that "it is not such a big issue". Very unprofessional. Don't go. Stay away.

I woke up with over 30 different bed bug bites. I read reviews about the bed bugs but the hostel kept saying it wasn’t an issue, and most of those reviews were old, but the bed bugs are an issue and it’s honestly pretty disgusting, and painful. I have bites all over my neck, my arms and my legs.

Noticed bedbugs in the room in the morning, when I told reception in the morning they did not even act surprised. They were nice enough to give me a refund, but did not make a fuss about it so I could tell they knew about them. Other than that this hostel has a nice location and good vibes.

We were having a perfectly fine time at the Fluxus Hostel until the final morning when we woke up to discover bed bugs on the items we stored under our bed. When we rang the owner and asked for compensation to wash all of our belongings we were accused of lying and were granted the bare minimum only because we put up a fight. To make it worse the staff were already aware that they had bed bugs as a receptionist had spoken to us about them the previous morning. fine hostel but not worth it at all

Расположение нормальное, в центре Любляны, но меня покусали клопы. The location is normal, in the center of Ljubljana, but I was bitten by bedbugs.

This hostel is a place I will not go back. For me it Is not a hostel. Is a fixed apartment turned into a hostel. The beds are not comfortable, the reception is open only 3h/day. They offered a room for 6 but you have to walk through a room of 8 to get into the room for 6 and to go to the toilet. One toilet and one shower for 14. Not a good experience in Europe regarding hostels. For your comfort, don't go to this hostel, look for better places and pay the 3eur extra other hostels might have. Five days after I still have the bed bugs bites in my arms and I had to wash all my things at 90° to get rid of them and not having a pest at home.

This hostel is one of the worst places I have stayed in Europe. In simple words: Bed bugs, flies, only one toilet in the hostel for 14, one shower for 14, no reception (only 3h a day), one room inside the other, overpriced, people smoking inside, and strangers sneaking inside during the night, noisy and uncomfortable beds, it is just a flat turned into a 'Hostel'. Don't go here NEVER EVER. The google reviews are fake, and these people don't care.

Staff is very nice, but the place is very dirty, there are ants all over the kitchen table, the beds are not clean at all, I got 20 bed bug bites, they were very itchy and some of them got infected and I ended up going to urgent care. My friend who stayed there also got bed bug bites. They need to wash all the sheets and blankets in hot boiling water, they need to get rid of those mattresses, and they need to do a deep cleaning and empty that facility.

Had seen precious comments about bed bugs - no issues for bed bugs for me or anyone else in the hostel for the 3 nights I was there. They let me inspect the bed before checking in and there were no sign of them. Small hostel, good vibe, good location, cleanly.

The hostel has a good location with nice equipped kitchen (sweets, eggs, milk, etc). The owner is helpful and very kind. Unfortunately I could not sleep at all as I've bitten by bed bugs and my faced looked like having an argue with Klitschko brothers. Both a once. Be aware.

The place is just 2 rooms with 8 and 6 beds. One toilet for everybody. Not fully kitchen...not oven! The private room is next to the kitchen so will be noisy. Not too bad for the price, even if it is not a real hostel. The 6 bed is infected with bed bugs, you cant sleep because the continuously bites. Besides there is a freaky "volunteer" Who used to put the AC during cold nights, and even when he keeps coughing all night. I checked its reviews in different sites and it has report of bedbugs at least in the Last 6 month. The owner lied saying every time that it has been disinfected, but he never closed for one week the floor so disinfection never applied. It is inmoral keep selling beds in a place with a plague, and the state should closed the place until the owner take real actions. I left the place at 5am to avoid contaminate my luggage.

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet hostel et nous ne le recommandons pas. Il y a des punaises de lits, le réceptionniste n'est pas présent. Nous ne pouvons pas laisser de nourriture dans le frigo sans quelle soit mangée. De plus la disposition des chambres n'est pas arrangeante. Vous devez traversez une chambre pour attendre l'autre chambre. Il y a une salle de bain pour 16 lits et un seul toilette. Vous devez en permanence traverser les deux chambres pour atteindre l'un des deux. Heuresement que nous sommes tombées sur d'autres voyageurs sympas pour égayer notre voyage.

Absolutely to AVOID! The place is full of bed bugs and apparently for a long time already. I couldn't sleep all night and got biten terribly. Also overpriced! One toilet and one shower for 14+ beds.
