La Terraza Hostel

Easy the WORST hostel I've been in! When we arrived there were no one at reception even tho we were still in schedule for check-in's. The place was disgusting, the floor on te dorms were slippery and slimy (you did not want to walk barefoot!). The kitchen was also really disgusting, mold in the kettle and more. The main doors wasn't lock even tho there were no one at recpetion when we arrived so completely unsafe. And AC was only at night. Also got sick from the 'filtered watered'. DO NOT GO!

Poor hostel. Room was disgusting and hot. A cockroach crawled on my bed and the kitchen was disgusting. No lock on dorms either. A very unpleasant experience. Don’t recommend at all.

Uno de los hostales más sucios en los que me he alojado, tanto por el baño como las habitaciones. El aire acondicionado de la habitación estaba puesto durante todo el día y no había mando en las habitaciones para apagarlo.

El hostel más sucio en el que me he quedado en la vida y eso que llevo 48 países visitados... Cocos en la ducha, la cocina podría valer para que fuera Alberto Chicote a verla, los dormitorios sacados de la era soviética..

+ nice location right at the lake - dirty bathrooms, no curtains in upper bed in dorms, bad equipment in kitchen, not really social, no activities organised by hostel

All in all it would not be a bad hostel. But during my Stay there were constructions from morning till evening. Directly above the hostel and chilling area. They cutted metal plates all time and that noise was so loud that my ears still paining 2 days after my Stay there. They really should informe about that and give for example a discount for those that like to stay at a construction area. Cafe was worse to (impossible to drink) and the Toilet had technical issues.

The hostel wasn’t great , there was no curtains on the bed and no locker for the bags only a small safe box that would only fit my phone and passport in but nothing else . And the bed was pretty unclean on arrival not to mention some of the rooms don’t have AC , which we didn’t know ahead of time so room was super hot! It was great price if you want to just get there and sleep like not leave your stuff , but wouldn’t really go again or feel safe doing so with my belongings

Wir haben Betten im 6er-Schlafsaal gebucht, da die Bilder auf app einen vernünftigen Eindruck machen und die durchschnittliche Bewertung auch okey ist. Vor Ort wurden wir leider enttäuscht, das Hostel war sehr schmuddelig. Die Bettwäsche war schmutzig und im Zimmer war ein unangenehmer Geruch. Die Außentüre war den ganzen Tag geöffnet, jeder kann rein spazieren. Die Klimaanlage wurde von einem Mann abends ein und morgens ausgeschaltet, tagsüber war unangenehm warm. Kein Ort zum relaxen.

We didn’t love it because: - room smell like sweat all day, bc the air does not freshen up! - kitchen was absolutely insanely dirty. Not visible dirt like on top of the balcony and stuff, but the silverware, kitchen utensils and so on were VERY dirty and all made out of plastic - also the ac stops at 7am 🫩

Extremely hot when you wake up in the morning as the aircon is turned off very early. Also noticed lots of bugs the morning I left, mixture of cockroaches and bed bugs.

Nice place, good staff. Close to everything you need.

Overall okay for a Night but no Hostelvibe whatsoever, no activities, Kitchen is not well equipped. 2 Showers/ bathrooms were shared and quite dirty

Don't really get the bad reviews here. It's a decent place to stay with a nice common area. The staff was helpful and made sure we could extend our stays when we needed. The location is great and the beds were comfy. You get a small locker for valuables and can use the kitchen if needed.

Great place!! Comfortable bed, fabulous location, great atmosphere. I loved my stay here and met some wonderful people. The staff were a little detached unlike staff in some other places but still friendly :) i think it would be good to have more bathrooms as there seemed to be a shortage of showers haha but other than that, i think this place is wonderful and has character!! I would recommend

very basic hostel, noisy rooms and the kitchen wasn't very clean or well maintained. the staff were lovely,even the little toddler running around the place who kept us entertained for ages.

The place is a great location but I felt that the cleanliness was really lacking. Saw two roaches while I was there and the downstairs room was pretty mildewy. However, the upstairs is really nice and I imagine I would have liked it much better in one of the upstairs rooms. Overall I would recommend choosing another hostel.

Okej att stanna några nätter men inget extra. En väldigt söt pojke till en som jobbar där är ofta på plats och det är ett plus, han är väldigt snäll. Det blev väldigt kvavt och instängt i rummen fastän man hade AC och ventilerade, och när någon rörde sig kände man det i hela sängen. Duschen var tyvärr intr jättefräsch heller, mycket hår- och produktrester. Köket eller kylskåpet är också väldigt rörigt. Den allmänna ytan på övervåningen är trevlig och det är ett...

Great, affordable hostel to stay at! A common area if you want to hangout with others but many people go to Los Amigos for the night. The beds were comfortable although the rooms tights and not many bathrooms. Good security snd location, right by the shuttle bus stop.

El mejor Hostel de Flores

Blanket I got didn’t covered my complete body, the lockers are so small: only passport and wallet fits - nothing else, cold showers, smelly rooms (smelt only nice just right after cleaning). I also wanted to book something, but there were no tickets. + common area and kitchen.

Not as bad as the reviews make it seem, it’s okay for 1-2 nights. Not that social but the common area is pretty nice. Isn’t the safest tho as the lock on my dorm room was broken and they only have super small lockers that can only fit a passport and a camera for example. Sheets were also a bit dirty and bathrooms were very minimal (no they still haven’t installed a toilet lid). However I did the Tikal guided tour with them for 130q that included transportation and it was really great.

Cheap as but with that WiFi isn’t great and not the most social

The staff is lovely and the hostel is conveniently located near the entrance of the island, and the pickup point for most tours/busses. The showers, there is no warm/hot water and there is hardly any pressure. They have a decent size kitchen. Linen is provided but not a towel, but you can pay for one. The beds do not come with a nightlight and there is only a small storage locker.

The hostel is in a good location and staff are friendly however you definitely get what you pay for. The rooms are very dark with mould growing and bugs everywhere. The kitchen is okay stocked but could do with some chopping boards etc. Just be careful when you pay that it is the correct amount as they overcharged us and whilst this issue was eventually sorted they refused to refund us at first

It's ok to sleep one night, place needs some improvements in the rooms for example
