VIP House

Very disappointed, not clean, rude owner. Location is nice, also the city trip they offer is good. We stayed for several days at the hostel, we choose it also because of the possibility to cook by our self. The kitchen is very tight and everything felt dirty, therefor we didn't cook there. At night my kids heard mice running at the ceiling. After a few nights we got skin issues. Everything was pointing to bedbugs. We were out of town and came back to Cusco, but didn't feel comfortable. I got bed bugs here and they refused to take responsibility. I had stayed here for 10 days, left for 2 but returned with no bites, returned, & the next morning I had tons of bites on my back. I left early for a 3 day hike so there was no time to discuss this with them. When I came back the woman wouldn’t entertain the conversation. Super disappointing because I was their guest for many days. Pros - free breakfast (one egg, bread, avocado), some of the staff are cool, beds have privacy curtains, cheap Cons - bed bugs, the shower is small and has rust stains, the rooms are freezing, the sockets are old so your charger might fall out, the wifi is spotty in the room

Got attacked by bed bugs. Didn't get one smile from the staff, loud cracking floors in and around the rooms and mediocre breakfast.
