THERE WERE BEDBUGS (on my first night)! Which ruined one night completely in an already short-stay. I was given an alternate bed/room and compensated with free laundry to sanitize some clothes. Meanwhile the explanation offered was that was an uncommon occurrence that happened inevitably becuase of the backpacker passing through before me. The expanation was probably true, but it felt irrelevant after a terrible night. I saw the matress being changed, and maybe the room was cleared out and possibly fumigated (not sure). To be fair, my remaining stay in the alternate bunk offered to me, was absolutely comfortable, and the bed was great.

Great hostel, and so clean, but i still did get bedbugs when I had to change beds :(

Watch out for bed bugs!! I was put in the old block first and my room was crawling with them. I then was moved to the new block with no sign of them

Hôtel à fuir ! Cet hôtel est un scandal ! en vérifiant mon matelas durant le check in j'ai remarqué qu'il était couvert d'excréments de punaises de lit et sale (voir photos ci dessous). Le personnel de l'hôtel a d'abord fait semble de ne rien savoir quand je suis venu les prévenir bien qu'au moment où j'ai confirmé que j'avais bien soulevé le matelas on est vite venu me parler à l'écart pour me dire que des vérifications allaient être faites. Lorsque que j'ai annoncé que je souhaitais un remboursement et non un changement de chambre car d'autres chambres sont sans doute infectées on m'a indiqué qu'ils étaient effectivement au courant du problème de punaises de lit et qu'un traitement avait été tenté mais sans grand succès et c'est tout. L'hôtel continue donc de louer sciemment des chambres infestées de punaises de lit et ne semble pas vouloir régler le problème m ! Je le répète : Hôtel à fuir !

Staff was helpful and the hostel is beautiful. As a solo traveler, I found it was less social than many other hostels. I also had bed bugs in my bed 😭

Great facilities, helpful staff, good options for tours and really nice communal areas/ pools. However, I got several bed bug bites while staying there. While this is definitely a negative, I was impressed at the staff’s response. They offered me a different room, washed all my things for free, refunded me that night and within minutes had sent a team up to the room to clean the area and replace the mattress.

Such an amazing hostel, really good atmosphere with great facilities + staff. All for £5 a night! The pools were stunning too, the only negative we left with bed bug bites, possibly from the sun loungers

We got bedbugs during our stay. We informed the staff, and they were helpful and offered us to switch rooms so they could clean the other room. The problem was that they only washed the sheets and sprayed mosquitorepellent in the beds with the bedbugs, which is not an efficient way to get rid of them. We decided to leave since we suspected there still was bedbugs in the hostel, and they gave us a refund. Just a heads up to check your rooms.
