Bed bugs

Bedbugs on last 2 days

Extremely dodgy area with many homeless and drunk addicts frequenting the surrounding area. A man was shot dead a short distance from the hostel during my stay, so I didn't feel safe venturing out alone at night. If I had known that the hostel was in such a bad area, then I would have definitely opted to stay elsewhere. Extremely loud at night, with music blaring and shouting - therefore I often struggled to sleep and subsequently had low energy the following day. Another issue was the bad smell in the shower facilities on my floor. It was so bad that I ended up showering on different levels. This should be addressed from a cleanliness point of view. I also heard about multiple bed bug outbreaks from fellow travellers. Whilst this did not directly affect me, it did make me feel less comfortable staying there.
