Hostel Gdansk Szafarnia 10

An unfortunate stay. Strange feeling in the hostel, kitchen was closed most days for conferences, and there wasn’t really any common areas, felt very much like a hotel. Me and a couple of others encountered a guest that was incredibly inappropriate. As a young-ish female staying in a dorm with him, I felt very unsafe. When I brought it up with the staff members, I learnt that they had been warned about this man a couple of days prior and did nothing to protect my wellbeing. Not okay.

Rooms are not well cleaned, noisy, odd bed layout, overpriced for the quality, no common area

Wir wurde leider alle von irgendwelchen Tieren im Bett gestochen und haben unsere Reise somit frühzeitig abgebrochen. Das Geld für die bereits bezahlten Tage haben wir nicht mehr bekommen. Am Ankunftstag war es wirklich sehr schlimm schmutzig im Zimmer. Die Sanitäreinrichtung war jedoch sehr sauber. Ansonsten wäre es ein unfassbar tolles Hostel.

The place doesn’t even exist! I arrived and there is no sign, reception nor anything and nobody know about the place. Had to book another place at that time

Two male bathrooms for a whole floor (a lot of rooms!) are definitely not enough. They were really dirty, felt like the airport, and no toilet paper in the morning.. Room had no ventilation system and you couldn’t open the windows because of a super loud noise, so the room was really smelly and with no air .. in general, zero hostel vibes… I would not return

Ce n’est pas une auberge pour rencontrer du monde. Bon emplacement. Dans ma chambre, fenêtre et store cassé et nous étions assez serrés. Salle bain/toilettes assez propre

Great location, bad hostel. The beds were so uncomfortable, and my dorm was lifeless. There lights flickered and they made me feel ill. The bathroom and shower were very clean, but the lockers only worked with locks sold at the front desk. Kitchen was OK, but sometimes dirty. There was a woman living in my hostel dorm, and she took over the space with her stuff. No social scene at all. I visited in early October, and there were only 2 or 3 other people in my 12-bed dorm. No one liked being there

A really underwhelming “hostel” in a hotel. Not only was someone in my bed when I went to my room, but when I had to be moved to a different bed, it didn’t have a wall outlet to charge my phone. As a busy traveler, if I can’t charge my phone at my hostel during the night, the hostel is not particularly useful to me.

I have nothing but good thoughts about this hostel. The location in perfect, free wifi is decent and tje reception is on top. Even though i was long past the check in time i still got to check even though it was like 1am. Recommend highly.

I was not expecting a hostel as pretty as this one. I loved the colourful bedroom and the view to the river. The bathrooms were pretty and clean. There were two male toilets and two female toilets as well as showers. The toilets being separated from the showers is great. The kitchen is open from 6am to 10pm, enough time. I did not pay for the breakfast to be included. The breakfast is served on a restaurant on the lower floor and you can pay it separately if you want to try one day.

Very good facilities for a hostel. Modern, clean, great hot water & water pressure in the showers. Kitchen is spacious and has some areas to sit down. Dorms are basic, but overall really good for the price.

solid location and very good facilities. It is like basically staying in a hotel. Only downside is there that there is no social environment if that is what you are looking for.

Hotel-level hostel: spotless rooms, marble bathrooms/showers, keycard security, lockers in hall, solid bunks with sturdy outlets. Marble floors can be slick when wet. Location is A+. Staff (shout-out to Edyta on nights) moved me after a 3am noise issue—super helpful. But vibe is minimal: paid common space and a pricey rooftop bar. If you want clean/quiet/safe near everything, it’s great; if you want a social kitchen scene, look elsewhere.

A localização é ótima porém tem somente 2 banheiros femininos do lado de fora do quarto, são mais de 48camas e 2 banheiros pra todo andar. Se for um dia cheia de pessoas, ficará insustentável.

Overall it was fine but the first night i was bitten by bed bugs. The staff offered me a new room or a full refund if i decided to leave. I chose to move to a new room & there were no more bed bugs after.

Great hostel + the location

It’s a modern and well maintained hostel! I really recommend it. The only thing missing is a comum area to interact with people but overall great experience.

Cela fait vingt ans que je dors dans des auberges de jeunesse partout en Europe – un tel standard n’existe même pas dans les hôtels trois étoiles. C’est plus propre que chez moi à la maison. (Il est rare que quelqu’un laisse un tel commentaire, donc je précise que je n’ai pas bu d’alcool, je n’ai pas pris de drogues, je n’ai aucun lien avec les propriétaires et je n’ai pas non plus de relation avec les employés.) Great hostel in center of Gdansk near by the harbour. Super clean. People from the hostel are nice. Kitchen functional and easy to meet people. It would just be great if we could have more blankets on the beds, because rooms are quite cold. And if there were curtain on the bed to protect from the light and have more privacy. Thanks ! My second time this year, and I will be back. Great to have a/c during heatwave in Poland. You have kitchen facility, comfy beds, a locker for your valuables. It is safe, clean, perfect location and the price to stay in centre of Gdańsk is also a great value. Thank you the lovely reception ladies, you are amazing ! ❤️
