BETTWANZEN IN SCHLAFSÄLEN!. Schlafsaal allgemein sehr unhygienisch.

WARNING!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! THIS HOSTEL WAS SO BAD THE WORST I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. Tiny room, rude staff, possible bedbugs. From the get go our twin room was absolutely tiny but ok for the price. The room was just a box with a bed wedged between 2 walls. The window was tiny and in an inconvient location so the room got very stuffy and dark even with the window open and curtains open. As well as this every time we turned the water in the shower on it reeked of rotten eggs. The bathroom ran out of toilet paper and we had to buy our own. No towels provided. However, I was expecting this for the price. What I was not expecting was to be about go to bed and find a bug that looked a lot like a bedbug to me crawling out from the bed. We had to strip the bed and check all the furniture and curtains which were very stained and dirty for other signs of bugs. We luckily didn't find any but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the all lived in the walls somewhere. Disgusting. Another thing which I didn't expect was the rudeness of the staff. We went to use the washing machine where it stunk of chlorine. Then a manger came and screamed at us for not reading a wet floor sign and when we were walking away she was making racist comments in German. Super unprofessional. Finally kitchen was super unsanitary and disgusting with no proper appliances and the check was unaided by staff. Terrible experience. Do noy waste your money.

I had the worst experience at this hostel, it was by far the worst hostel ive stayed at and i had a private twin room here. To start off the room is incredibly tight and small, as expected but there are stains on the walls and curtains and the beds are made of foam so are incredibly uncomfortable. Secondly the shower reeked and the door was very flimsy. My sister and i also had an encounter with a rude staff member, whilst attempting to use the laundry in the laundry room there was a sign which said wet floor and the room clearly stunk of chlorine , however this was not the issue after a few minutes a manager came in and started shouting at us in english that we werent allowed to be here, however the door had been open and it hadnt been sign posted thata we were not allowed in. Then as we were leaving she made racist and rude remarks in german thinking we couldnt understand. To make matters worse we found a bed bug on our last evening there and the kitchen facilities are lacking at best.

Nachtrag zur Rezension von ein paar Tagen. auf diese erhielt ich eine freundliche Antwort hier auf google wieder mit dem gleichen Tenor, wie wichtig das Feedback sei und dass der a+o Gruppe Sauberkeit sehr wichtig sei. Für mich sind das Lippenbekenntnisse, nicht nur die Rezensionen hier auf der Seite sprechen davon, sondern auch dass meinen Mitreisenden, die ebenfalls storniert hatten, nun unter fadenscheinigen Gründen eine Erstattung des nicht genutzten Zimmers verweigert wird. Wäre Ihnen die Sauberkeit und auch das Image wirklich wichtig, würden Sie sich um kulante Lösungen bemühen. So wie es jetzt ist, kann ich nur davon ausgehen, dass das vielleicht sogar Geschäftsmodell ist. ---------------- Hier nochmal die Originalrezension von letzter Woche: Wir hatte zu sechst jeweils Einzelzimmer gebucht und freuten uns auf ein tolles Wochenende in Frankfurt und hatten das a+o Ostend gebucht. Dummerweise ohne die Bewertungen und die Antworten darauf im Detail zu lesen. Die ersten beiden aus unserer Gruppe kamen an und waren entsetzt über die nicht vorhandene Sauberkeit in ihren Zimmern. Die Betten seien zwar frisch bezogen gewesen, aber das war es dann auch, sie fanden Haare im Bett, Staub auf den Flächen, undefinierbare Ekelsflecken an den Wänden. Beide reklamierten unabhängig voneinander, doch auch die neuen Zimmer waren kaum besser. Wir haben dann als Gruppe (die anderen waren noch unterwegs) gemeinsam entschieden, drt nicht bleiben zu wollen. Ich kam vor 18 Uhr an und konnte in der Lobby noch stornieren. Den später anreisenden drei Personen gelang das nicht, weil die Schlange am Tresen inzwischen sehr lang geworden war und nur eine Person Dienst hatte (am Freitag abend wo ja vermutlich mit hohem Aufwand zu rechnen ist). Denen wurde von a+o gesagt, stornieren ginge nicht, wenn sie das Zimmer nicht gesehen haben. Rechtlich mag das korrekt sein, man muss dem Veranstalter ja eine Verbesserungsmöglichkeit geben. Wenn ich aber hier diverse Rezensionen über mangelnde Sauberkeit und die Standard-Antworten der Organisation lese, Sauberkeit sei ja ach so wichtig, sich aber dennoch nichts tut, wage ich zu bezweifeln, dass das geholfen hätte. Wir haben vier Zimmer gesehen, die dreckig waren, wir haben die stickige Lobby erlebt und nach einer halben Stunde Wartezeit aufgegeben. Wenn Sie von a+o wirklich etwas verbessern wollen, dann tun sie das. Wenn ich von Bettwanzen lese, dann mache ich nur noch drei Kreuz-Zeichen, dass ich da raus gekommen bin (und nein, ich bin nicht gläubig). Den einen Stern vergebe ich nur, weil Null nicht angenommen werden. Und weil der EINE Mitarbeiter, bei dem ich stornieren konnte, wirklich sehr freundlich und bemüht war. Der verdient wahrscheinlich sogar 4 Sterne.

Found bed bugs in one of the beds

Unfortunately we got a room with bedbugs. As I am writing this more and more marks are starting to appear on members of our room in order from the distance to the place we noticed the bed bugs at. The room itself was dirty with tons of dust under the beds which surely doesn't help. Make sure to always check your bedroom as you enter for any black spots in locations such as: inside the mattresses, USB ports or as in our case near the mirror and the lights around it. Our room number was 101 which apparently looking through other opinions is a reocurring issue. We were moved to room 007.

Sehr unsauber, mit Bettwanzen, lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Nie wieder.

Achtung!! Bettwanzen! 🤢🤢 Leute ich würde euch davon abraten, dort zu übernachten!! Generell wird Hygiene in dem Hostel nicht groß geschrieben (benutztes Ohrstäbchen auf der Fensterbank und Blut an der Toilettenwand), aber das Frühstück war immerhin ok, wenn auch teuer. Ich würde dennoch das Hostel auf keinen Fall weiter empfehlen, wenn ihr nicht Bettwanzen mit nach Hause einschleppen wollt... 🤢🤢 (Zimmer 101) ----- Attention, bed bugs!!! 🤢🤢 Guys, I wouldn't recommend staying in this hostel!! Hygienic standards are generally rather low (there was a used cotton swab on our sill and blood on the toilet wall). Breakfast was okay, but expensive for what was offered. However - there were bed bugs in our room (room 101), which made the aftermath of our stay rather unpleasant.

They changed my room three times! 😤 The first one was not clean, there were even bottles of cola inside the room. 🤢 In the second room, we were attacked at night by bed bugs. 😱 In the third room, we had a problem with the shower drain. 🚿 But the team was very good . They tried to help us. They changed the room without complaining and fixed the shower drain

On our first night we found bed bugs in the beds. Thankfully we were quick to spot them and informed the reception which immediately moved us to a new room with no issues. Additionally the front desk is understaffed/undertrained so whenever big groups arrived there was a huge waiting time for service.

I would like to bring to your attention some issues we experienced during our recent stay. Firstly, we encountered bed bugs in the room we stayed in, which has resulted in discomfort due to the bed bug bites. Our room number was 330. Furthermore, upon our arrival, we noticed that only two beds were made despite our reservation for three people. The bedding for the third bed wasn’t done, including the pillow sheet, bed sheet, and blanket. The only noteworthy convenience was the hotel's location.

Auf gar kein Fall besuchen diese schmutziges ekelhaftes Hostel gehört mit sofortiger Wirkung dicht gemacht das kann noch nicht war sein 14 Tage nie wieder 1 Bettwanzen Befall vom aller feinsten kein einzige Zimmer Reinigung in 14 Tage und oben drauf noch mehrere Kranken Haus und Arzt besuche wegen massiven Bettwanzen Bissen und dazu nach 2 Woche noch eine massive Infektion mir reicht bin stink sauer und sehr enteuscht das da die Stadt Frankfurt oder das Gesundheitsamt bzw Ordnungsamt nix macht sehr frustrierend. 800€ waren einfach eine riesiger Fehler und Geld futsch kein Entschädigung und keins komplette Rückerstattung des Betrags einfach nur sehr ärgerlich

Das Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt und wir hatten Bettwanzen.Das Personal ist international aber wenn man Probleme hat wird gar nix getan aber sowas von von gar nix.Keine Seife und Bettzeug mussten wir uns organisieren.Wenn man in der Lounge was trinken will sollten die Getränke mal ne Happy Houre haben.Die Tische werden nicht gewischt.Viel Andrang und das Personal ist in den Stoßzeiten überfordert..Das Hostel dient wahrscheinlich als Gelddruckmaschine.

Stopp aufpassen . Bevor du ins Zimmer geht's schau bitte grünlich nach leider gibt es Bettwanzen .

Mit Abstand das schlimmste und dreckigste Hotel in dem ich je war. Zimmer werden nie geputzt, Mitarbeiter fühlen sich für nichts verantwortlich und das allerschlimmste sind die Bettwanzen. Mein ganzer Körper juckt und hat Bisse. Euch sollte man für eure mangelnde Hygiene verklagen. Ich will mein Geld zurück!!!! Haltet euch von diesem Hotel fern.

Die Zimmer waren ausnahmslos dreckig. Nicht geputzt, voller Müll, Bettwäsche und Handtücher ungewaschen. Vor der Tür standen offenkundige Drogendealer, welche die Gäste ansprachen. Die Bettwanzen-Flyer im Foyer kamen zu spät für diejenigen, die ihr Zimmer betraten.

The reception staff BROKE INTO THE ROOM at 3 AM, they didn’t even knocked the door, they just turned on the lights n start to wake up everyone saying that there’s was someone who was not supposed to be there, asking for IDs at 3 AM! The WC was clogged for two days and no one did nothing about it. You have to pay extra for bedsheets, I did cause I saw a comment here that they have bed bugs, you should do the same cause the duvet and pillow are smelly. Do they even really thought that it was convenient to kick someone out at 3 am with -5 outside? I’ve been traveling for the past year in Europe and I can honestly say that this is the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed.
