  1. Confirmado Hostelworld

we thibk we got bed bugs, as my partner was awake all night being bitten and there were all the indications of bed bugs. there was no water, the beds awere boiling hot and airless, and the access code is writted on the front door so that anybody can enter the hostel. no laundry or kitchen facilities and no common area. thisnhostel nearly ruined our trip to tokyo and we tried to be away from the hostel as much as possible.

  2. Confirmado Google Maps

I definitely would not stay here again unless I had no other options. For the price there are SO many better places you can stay. Firstly, it's tricky to find. On the third floor of a tucked away building with no signage. After you do locate, even though they advertise having 24 luggage storage you can't get in (staff is only there for a few hours around check in). There's a sign with a phone number to call if you have luggage to drop off but if (like us) you're travelling and don't have access to a phone to call locally you're SOL. Luckily for us, someone staying there heard us talking on the other side of the door and let us in so we were able to drop our bags. Once we arrived back for check in, the guy checking us in was very nice but did not offer pillow cases or sheets for the beds other than the one fitted sheet that is already on the bed. Mine had hairs and dirt on it and didn't seem clean. He gave me an additional sheet when I requested but said they had no pillow cases. I have a hard time believing they actually wash each pillow after every use so certainly didn't feel very sanitary. We sucked it up. There is also very little space. It's literally one room. The dormitory with beds, "kitchen", "common area" (if you can call them that) and front desk are all a single room. Very little area to move around or do anything at all and people talk loudly in the common area throughout the night (which is not even a foot away from the beds). There are no rules posted or shared about when to be quiet so you don't have much of a leg to stand on to tell people to keep it down (though both nights I stayed there someone eventually did as it was getting ridiculous past 1am). Very minimal room to store bags. We ended up having to sleep with them in our pods because there was literally no where else to put them. There's a clothesline that runs through the middle of the room where people hang clothes so if you get up in the night you're in danger of fully clotheslining yourself. And the pods are HOT, like get seriously hotboxed and sweaty from nothing (and we stayed in the fall when it was quite cool out so no idea why, didn't have this problem anywhere else). The bathrooms are fine but way too small for the number of beds. Three toilets and two showers for 40-50 beds so you need to queue up for like an hour in the morning to get your chance to use. Overall, wasn't the worst experience I had ever had in a hostel or shared space but this is mainly because there were no bed bugs and no one was openly smoking crack in the dormitory. For the price there are so many other places you could stay that would be better. It's also worth noting that we stayed at another bnb plus location in Nara and had a completely different experience-- totally lovely, clean, sheets and pillow cases provided, rules shared with guests, proper luggage storage offered and separate living and sleeping areas. So I think all the issues we had are specific to this location.
