Origen Hostel

J'ai été prélevée 4 fois d'un montant pour lequel le tpe affichait paiement refuse. Nous avons donc règle le check out avec une autre carte J'essaye de contacter el origen depuis 2 semaines. ils m'ont répondu une seule fois et étaient censes me faire suivre le mail de remboursement En vain Depuis je n'ai aucun retour par mail La ligne téléphonique est désactivée Ce sont des escrocs qui me doivent 500 euros

The hostel is CLOSED. They couldn’t honor my booking. Don’t go.

It's not a bad place to stay, but their isn't much to do and the staff isn't super helpful unless you're a women that Will wants to flirt with. He'd have his hands on a different guest every night. Very unprofessional. The place doesn't really look like the pictures and the vibe is kinda off. Breakfast is good but the other meals are kinda plain..... like I said... weird vibe.

Has potential as it’s in a beautiful place with a nice pool but ruined by the lack of organisation and the attitude of the owner. Told me the bed I’d paid for was not available and treated me like this was my fault (after waiting over an hour to check in, I was not the only person who had paid for a room and didn’t have one that night). They did eventually put me in another hostel (which was far better and didn’t have staff treating me like rubbish) but it took over 3 hours to sort. Feel...

600m from entrance of the park, not true 2km they mention in their own mail. Breakfast included as on the website stated, not true they mention in their own mail. Waterfee of 10k per day, I can buy a bottle for just 2k. As it is 'isolated' you need to buy everything at the place and they know, looking at the prices. The place looks great and is green but not my atmosphere.

Beautiful hostel in the middle of nature. Our private room was comfortable and clean. Our experience was affected by the weather. You need to cross two creeks and due to the heavy rain it was too risky. The next day, when the rain had stopped, the level of the creek was fine, but a couple of wooden bridges or help from the staff would make the difference. Also, we waited for our dinner (pasta, the only option available that night) 1.5h and it was cold, dry, and simply not worth the price.

das Hostel ist auf ein schönes Gelände, allerdings der Weg dahin ist im relativ schlechten Zustand (teilweise mit Flußdurchquerungen). Die Betten sind sehr bequem und das Restaurant ein schöner Bereich. Die Toiletten und der Pool könnten im besseren Zustand sein. Die atmosphäre entspannt aber nicht sehr sozial.

A beautiful space, made far less awesome by greedy policies, inefficiency and bad management. A mandatory daily upcharge for DRINKING WATER - not disclosed until after you've already booked, or at least it wasn't mentioned before I booked. Food was good but overpriced. Took an absurdly long time to check in upon arrival - I can be patient, but it took probably 45 minutes from the time I arrived. The hostel made a mistake and accidentally double-booked a bed, and the guest that was affected ...

Really like the rooms, this was the first dorm I stayed in on my travels in Colombia that didnt involve a bunk bed! mosquito nets were really good too. Youre trapped at the hostel as you're tucked away a 15 minute walk from the road over rivers, so you have to have the food and drink from the hostel, which is really nice but a little more pricy than other hostels I stayed at. The location is a good base to travel to Tayrona. The ''main chill spot" needs some comfy beds/sofas or similar.

Gorgeous hostel with beautiful communal space which made it easy to socialise. The pool was also stunning. Great food for breakfast although expensive. The laundry service and luggage storage was also pricey. However would return happily as a beautifully designed retreat to relax in. Be aware electricity and wifi in the area are not great (we had no electricity and wifi until 6pm). Easy walk to Tayrona park (20 mins max). Would highly recommend this hostel

Had very high expectations for this place which sadly did not deliver. Female staff member was quite rude and not very helpful. The showers were very dirty our whole stay, don’t think they were cleaned once. It was advertised that the hostel has a restaurant, unfortunately they only cook dinner and it’s only one option (no vegetarian). Positives are the 2 dogs and the best mango juice we’ve ever had

Hands down my favourite hostel during my entire Colombia trip! Sammi and Will were amazing and very accommodating. The location is close enough to the main road, ideal if you want to visit Tayrona National Park. Cant wait to go back to Origen!

O ambiente é lindo e a família responsável foi muito simpática. A piscina é grande e os quartos são limpos e arejados. Poderia ter mais tomadas e iluminação melhor nos quartos.

Fabulous pool and friendly & accommodating hosts. Thank you Sammy & Will. Delicious home made cakes for sale. Clean and comfortable. It was quiet during our stay so at this time not too social. A great place to relax in the jungle.

Lovely quiet hostel with a nice pool and close to Tayrona. It's a little tricky to get to, but it adds to the secluded feel!

one of the most amazing hostels I've seen, the nature around is beautiful, friendly hosts and the best mango juice I ever had, the dorms are open to the jungle but with mosquito net, the breakfast is amazing, the pool is refreshing and beautiful to chill

Nos quedamos solo 1 noche pero fue delicioso, la piscina fue perfecta para refrescarnos e incluso se mantenía tibia ya entrada la noche, temperatura perfecta! El sonido de los pajaritos al despertar es el ambiente perfecto para descansar

Es un hostel fantástico rodeado de naturaleza y con una hermosa piscina y zonas comunes La ubicación lo hace algo limitado para hacer más actividades y buscar comida fuera. Destaco que sentí inseguridad por la noche. Las habitaciones eran descubiertas y al no haber recepción por la noche no sabía a quien recurrir a esas horas.Poco ambiente. Se hubiera agradecido más profesionalidad aunque fueron amables conmigo, en especial Samy que se portó muy bien

Lieu magnifique mené par Sami, qui tient ce projet familial d’une merveilleuse façon ! Un de mes endroits coup de cœur pour être dans la région ! Le chemin pour y accéder est bien expliqué et rien de bien compliqué, c’est plongé en pleine nature, la cuisine est super bonne (et vege !), bref foncez !

Loved my stay here! It felt extremely relaxing and calming. Food was good and well priced. It won’t be for everyone as it was indeed cold showers and rooms open to the outside but to me it felt like paradise, especially the pool. Small walk from the main road (10min) which you could motortaxi, and big walk (35 min) to El Zaino entry which you could take a (small) bus/motortaxi. Not super duper social but there’s other travellers there and both nights I found someone to chat to

Lovely hostel with an amazing garden and pool. staff is very friendly and welcoming however the vibe was a bit off when I was there. Not many people stayed and there was little to no social atmosphere.

Beautiful gardens and pool area. Food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Would be a lot more helpful if the breakfast started earlier than 7am because most people staying here need to leave early to enter Tayrona Park. You pay 10k per bag if needing to store it.

Prachtig hostel, vriendelijke eigenaar. Bedden waren prima. Het is ongeveer 10 minuten lopen vanaf de hoofdweg, maar is prima te bereiken over de hangbrug.

Ideale plek om bij te komen van het wandelen in Tayrona National Park. Beide ingangen makkelijk te bereiken. Om het hostel te bereiken moet je wel nog een stukje lopen vanaf waar de taxi/bus je afzet. Eten van het hostel is heel erg goed, er zit ook een lekker taco tentje aan de weg om de hoek.

This hostel deserves every star it gets. I would literally fly to Colombia just to stay at this hostel again. A true piece of paradise.
