Located near various restaurants along Hwy 1. One of us slept in a bed with BED BUGS. Started itching all night. Just realized today-2 days later- that it was bed bugs as the bites have now appeared. Going to contact the hotel to alert them, and hopefully they will offer a reimbursement for the night’s lodging if they are a decent organization.

My husband and I went to the Florida Keys to spend a weekend together celebrating our anniversary. We chose Quality Inn for it's location and price point, utilizing booking.com for the reservation. I booked us for three days. We only stayed for a few hours. When we arrived, everything seemed okay, check in went smoothly and we settled in. We went for a swim in the heated pool which was delightful. We headed out for dinner and returned to turn in for the night. While turning down the sheets we saw spots of dried blood. Immediately suspecting a bed bug situation, I decided to check the entire bed and the other one as well. There was a lot more dried blood to be found and the mattress covers had holes in them. We went downstairs to tell the attendant, showed him the photos we took, and he offered to give us a new room. We said no thank you, and went to the Hilton Garden Inn down the street instead. It's beautiful, clean, and very spacious. While I'd really like a refund for those three nights I didn't spend there, I know it is unlikely. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. If it's $60 a night, there's probably a good reason for it.
