Achtung! Habe hier übernachtet und sowohl mein Kumpel als auch ich hatten viele Bettwanzenbisse am nächsten Tag. Wenn ich 0 Punkte geben könnte, ich würde es tun. Es gibt sogar Hinweise darauf, dass das Personal vom Befall wusste, denn es waren Dispenser für ätherische Öle im Raum verteilt, die wir für gewöhnliche Raumdüfte hielten. Es war die erste Nacht unseres Urlaubs und diese Erfahrung hat unsere Zeit in Nordmazedonien deutlich getrübt. Meidet dieses Hostel!

I got bed buds here. It’s so many bites, I can’t imagine this is the first time it happened. This hostel needs to shut down for a bit for a deep cleaning…do NOT stay at Shanti!

Spent the first night of my Balkan trip here in August 2023 and still have nightmares from it. Got several bed bug bites for which I later needed medication because of how big they got. I moved to a hotel the next night and there I found a bed bug on my luggage(!) even though I had never put in on the bed but in the middle of the room. There were bedbugs and they didnt even refund. İt is one of the many hostels in booking with very high rating that doesnt match the conditions. Prices are higher but you dont get the according service. Towels not included in the price. Rooms are on the second floor with steep and narrow stairs. The bathroom is on the first floor and was in average condition. Not a place to be unless you want to be bitten by bedbugs and be deprived of sleep and to have paid for it. BED BUGS, aggressive male staff member on the verge of fighting with me because I used the washing machine to wash my potentially contaminated clothes without asking for his "permission" He was also consuming alcohol at 10am on his shift. Female staff were all super helpful and kind. This place is known to have bed bugs (check older reviews) and the owner/manager likes to pretend it doesn't exist by having bad reviews etc removed. I had to contact support to reinstate my review. AVOID THIS PLACE

- Friendly and helpful staff - Free breakfast - Quiet and clean - Good Wi-Fi -No blanket (just blanket cover ) -Insects /bugs bite you in bed -People walk through bedroom /dorm to go to bedroom balcony to dry clothes -Not very social (usually less than 5 guests in common areas ) - Does not appear to be age limit on guests - No bedroom locks /keys etc - Appears to be converted house into hostel so small kitchen

I ended up with bedbugs after staying here. Unknowingly stayed here for two nights and then woke up with really bad bites.

Don’t book this Hostel via its website. Use only reliable websites like Hostel world. I tried to book on the website which they confirmed. Then I just asked them about the price and they decided to cancel my booking which I never said that I wanted to cancel or that I wasn’t sure about it. They just told me about it a few minutes before my flight to Skopje. They offered to book a room in another Hostel but I preferred to do it muscled since I couldn’t trust them anymore. Terrible service.

I was woken up at 3am by a checkin and subsequent laughter and loud conversation outside the door and window to my room by the new guest and 2 volunteer girls. Then one of them starts replacing the plates etc in the kitchen. Finally there is some peace by 4am. But then there is another checkin at 0630am. Another girl just shows in the guest who proceeds to unpack. I didn't sleep after 3am. I left. Paying 14 euros for this? Biggest waste of money. Zero respect by the management and staff and thes...

Very convenient Hostel with very nice staff. Would recommend for shorter stays as it's not really in the city center. About a 15min walk. It has a homely feel with a nice outside area. The bathroom is not the most modern but does the job and is clean.

Very welcoming family atmosphere! Very close to bus and train station and the city center too!

You can relax in a beautiful family atmosphere where you can stay overnight for your trip to north Macedonia. Prices are affordable.

bed bugs :( i saw one on the wall next to my bed the first morning and told the staff, but all they did was steam clean the bedroom and common room, didn’t offer a room change or a refund. when i left a couple days later i found bites all over my body.

Amazing hostel and the staff were incredible. Such a cozy vibe with good facilities.

I had an amazing time here! The rooms and beds are comfortable and the garden is fantastic. Most importantly, the hosts Zeynep and Enes, they were super friendly, always ready to help and just good people which you can build a personal bond with

The sweetest staff ever! The dorms were very nice, a lot of space to put your stuff and a big locker. The location is good, just a 10 min walk and you’re in the centre. Also free water, fruit and snacks available. Definitely coming back here again!!

Very nice place with very nice staff. Totally recommended.

I like the idea that cats are accepted, but it also made dome things quite difficult, they wanted to be on the chopping board when you’re preparing dinner, on your plate when you’re dishing up.

They saved me at 4 am by being open. Great hostel.

Nice Homestay where I stayed one night for transit. Bus station and big supermarket around the corner, city center with Bazar also. Enjoyed hanging talking with the nice staff. If it's warm you can hang out on the terrace or balcony. See ya next time!

Personal super nett und freundlich. Es wurde auch auf besondere Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Fußläufig vom Busbahnhof und der Innenstadt. Gerne einmal wieder :) Menschen die es gerne ruhiger haben empfehle ich in der Nebensaison vorbei zu schauen :)

Best hostel in Skopje and maybe even Macedonia, unbeatable service and hospitality. Comfortable, warm, great people. Can't wait to come back here. A big thank you to Ljupčo and Marina especially!

It was an alright hostel, staff where nice. Some of the lockers didnt have locks which wasnt great. Facilities where good.

Great location, close to bus station, 10 -15 mins walk to centre. Friendly staff, warm rooms, resident cats.
