BED BUGS!!!! I am not one to leave negative reviews on places - it really takes a lot for me to get to that point. But unfortunately, this place deserves it. We were planning on staying here for 3 nights and were really pleased our first night. However, on the second night, we were woken at 2 am with red itchy bites covering the arms and legs. We went to reception the next morning and asked if we could get refunded for our 3rd night of stay so we could go decontaminate and move hostels. At first, they denied that we had beadbugs despite the video of the bug we got and bites. They tried to blame us for bringing the bugs and told us they wouldn’t refund us any money. Super disappointing experience especially since so many of the other guests were fun to hang out with. Now we’re out 30MR and spending our day heat treating everything we own. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Traveller Bunker Hostel. Great service, clean rooms, and a good location. That’s where we ended up moving to.

Only a very thin cheap synthetic blanket on the beds. The ‘new hostel’ in the ground floor of an apartment building down the road is very damp and perpetually so, as in towels and clothes always remain somewhat wet and there a mildew or mold infestation. If you have allergies like me you must sleep with the window open to be able to breathe. First night I barely slept because of the cold. When I asked for a real blanket the next day it required some politicking to get it as other cold guests also wanted and there weren't enough in the place to go around. One person complained of bed bugs but I wasn’t bitten. Apathy and emotional hangups of the owner led to other small problems with the shower, getting locked out by a faulty door that could be easily fixed, and getting overcharged a bit with the management pointlessly refusing to make good for it and wasting time with emo rationalization antics added to the annoyances.
