My partner and I had a terrible stay at this property. A night we both we will both be actively trying to forget. Room: I booked a standard double room, but what we walked into looked nothing like the photos shown at the time of booking. The room was so small that the bed took up almost the entire space, leaving barely any room for us to open our luggage. For $100 AUD, we genuinely expected at least enough space to move around comfortably. Hygiene: Bed bugs!! We both were itching all through the night which felt like a twisted endurance challenge. At this point nothing more surprised us. Location: The property is close to the airport, which is convenient, but the surrounding area didn’t feel particularly welcoming or comfortable. Cafe: They proudly advertise an Indo-Chinese menu, but when I ordered, I was informed the chef “isn’t good at making Indo-Chinese food.” So naturally, they cancelled my order. I ended up ordering from Zomato. Love that for me. Pro tip to the property: maybe don’t put something on the menu if the chef literally can’t make it? Overall experience: I’ve stayed in some terrible places before, but this one really went above and beyond to secure the top spot. Truly unforgettable, in all the wrong ways.
