Two good things: the shared spaces and the location are very nice. But: Unfortunately our room was quite dirty upon arrival (around 19:30). The bathroom was not in a pleasant state (which might have been by the dormmates but who knows) and there was a dental floss pick in one of the beds. The mattresses were super thin, all in all we unfortunately can not recommend the stay.
I won’t stay here again. The photos of the social areas were misleading. It’s true that the garden, living room, and kitchen are nice, but the rooms were extremely cramped, more like sardine cans. I don’t mind sharing a room with 12 people, but the space was far too small. The beds were stacked three levels high, almost reaching the ceiling. Moving even slightly would risk waking everyone up. On top of that, there was no room to store luggage. At the very least, the lockers should be relo...
The restroom was located inside the room, very noisy when someone comes in late or use the restroom early in the morning. Meanwhile, other room does have their own restroom outside. The bunk bed has 3 levels which makes the bed very compact. I couldn't sit up straight. There is no point of having the curtain because the curtain has large gaps. Cleaning service really early in the morning before check out, what a mess when you are still in bed at 9 am and they are already cleaning the room.
Les toilettes et les douches dans le même espace sans aération font qu'on prend sa douche avec des odeurs originales pour ne pas dire autre chose. La chambre à 10 est minuscule comparée au nombre de personnes qu'elle accueille. The bathrooms and showers in the same unventilated space make you take your shower with original smells to say nothing else. the room with 10 is tiny compared to the number of people it accommodates. breakfast not included (despite the price) but preparing something in the morning seems to disturb the house planning. everything has been put on the decoration but the comfort of the client is secondary. despite the presence of a very charming rabbit in the garden (very handsome at p)
The sign to the building is super small . Wouldn’t have noticed it if a local didn’t see me struggling to find the place . Once you’re up the many steps , the garden area is cute , however , bring bug spray . I have so many mosquito bites on my legs . Also , no A/C except at night . The lobby/bar has AC 24/7 but the rooms , they only have it from 9pm to 9am I think and it’s not strong . You can’t turn it up . It was still hot in the rooms .
the garden was great, a bit pricey though. the late check in was nice and the staff were so friendly
El lugar es lindo tiene un jardin grande, las habitaciones y el baño sonbmodestos.la ubicacion no ees muy buena, de noche no se siensiente seguro salir solo.
The place is nice has a large garden, the rooms and the bathroom are modest. the location is not very good, at night you do not feel safe to go out alone.
A decent place to stay, reasonably positioned near the main city areas but a little difficult to find initially, as it is nestled in the back streets. Good atmosphere to it with good communal areas. Rabbits and cats aplenty! Staff are helpful.
Les parties communes étaient sales (cuisine/toilette/douche), pas de wifi, peu de sécurité en bas de l’hostel (vol juste à la porte), le personnel a fait la fête dans les parties communes à côté des chambres jusque 6h du matin un mercredi. Il manquait une lampe sur mon lit et le drap du dessous était sale. Après le lieu est sympa, surtout l’extérieur, quelques personnes de l’hôtel très sympa et les animaux super chous. Mais ça n’était pas un séjour agréable !
The common areas were sold out (kitchen/toilet/shower), no wifi, little security downstairs the hostel (fly just at the door), the staff partying in the common areas next to the rooms until 6am on a Wednesday. a lamp was missing on my bed and the linen underneath was sold out. after the place is nice, especially the outside, a few very nice people from the hotel and the super choosy pets. but it was not a pleasant stay !
Personnel tres sympathique avec plein de recommandations restau, bar, viewpoint :) Possibilité de laisser les bagages après le check out gratuitement dans un local. Jardin incroyable et coin salon/ cuisine trés sympathique. Gros bémol pour le sanitaires, pas assez nombreux et donc rapidement sales malgré le ménage régulier, pas pratique du tout car rien pour poser ses affaires. Dortoirs surchargés avec peu de place pour poser ses affaires.
Staff are very friendly with lots of recommendations restaurant, bar, viewpoint :) Possibility to leave luggage after check out free in a local. Incredible garden and corner living room/ kitchen very friendly. Gros bémol for the sanitary facilities, not enough and therefore quickly sales despite the regular housekeeping, not practical at all because nothing to put your things. Overcrowded dormitories with little room to put your things.

I would highly recommend Hopestel Secret Garden to anyone visiting Naples. This hostel is truly incredible - the garden is stunning, serene, and so peaceful. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and something really special. The staff are kind, helpful, and full of great recommendations. I had the best stay and will absolutely be back. Honestly, you’d be doing yourself a disservice not to experience this place...would rate it 12/10 if I could!
The hostel was really nice and cozy The backyard was great! The room itself was also nice. There were curtains and good storage, which was nice The area was ok, but not the nicest place to walk after dark. It was also a bit far from the metro The hostel was not as social as I had hoped...
One of the most beautiful hostels I Ve been in. The garden is huge and you can relax after a day of travelling around. Staff are friendly and super helpful. I liked the idea of having the service 24/7. I love waking up super early and have coffee available. Highly recommend it.
Das Hostel ist wirklich eine Oase inmitten des pulsierenden Neapels. Die Mitarbeiter:innen sind ausnahmslos herzlich und der Garten ist unschlagbar. Ein Ort, an dem man sich auf jeden Fall zurückziehen und wohlfühlen kann. Ich habe im 10er Zimmer übernachtet. Hier gibt es u.a. dreistöckige Betten und das oberste hat keinen Vorhang, wie die anderen. Das fand ich etwas schade, da ich das kleine bisschen Privatsphäre doch sehr schätze. Ansonsten aber wie gesagt alles top.
The hostel is truly an oasis in the middle of vibrant Naples. The staff are exceptionally warm and the garden is unbeatable. A place where you can definitely retreat and feel at ease. I stayed in Room 10. Here there are, among other things, three-story beds and the top one has no curtains, like the others. I found this a bit of a shame, as I appreciate the little bit of privacy but very much. Ansonsten but as I said everything top.
El lugar es tal cual se muestra en la foto. Todo estaba impecable y Marcelo nos recibió súper bien, incluso nos ayudó mucho con información sobre la ciudad y recomendaciones que nos fue dando. Todos súper amables, lo recomiendo 100%.
Everything was impeccable and Marcelo welcomed us super well, even helped us a lot with information about the city and recommendations he was giving us. everyone super friendly, I recommend it 100%.
Really charming and comfortable hostel. The garden is great to relax in and near some fab restaurants and bars. Not the strongest on communal events so a bit harder if you’re solo travelling. But still a lovely stay.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was very clean and well maintained. They had a beautiful garden as well. The only thing is that to get up there you have to go up a lot of stairs and a big hill. They also have an elevator however it wasn’t working when I was there but it wasn’t a problem as I packed light and I’m fully capable of taking the stairs. Overall I could definitely see myself staying here again.
Very clean, welcoming hostel. It took 2 keys, a passcode, and pocket change to get to our room, which was funny. But we knew it was secure. Really lovely garden to sit and have a drink.
Excellent hostel. One of the many highlights of the trip. Will stay here again if visiting Naples.

This was one of my favourite hostels I’ve ever stayed at! The 4 bed female dorm felt spacious and clean (I love when there are curtains around beds). The outdoor space was so incredible and all the animals are the property really make the space special. Would highly recommend
las dos recepcionistas que me atendieron muy amables, una de cabello pelinegro que hablaba español y la otra de pelo corto atendían cualquier problema, lugar limpio y seguro, ubicación a unos minutos de las vías principales de Napoli, así como un ambiente seguro, solo resaltó que la última noche cambie de cuarto y estaba ya muy delgado el colchón, tanto así que aveces sentía las tablas de soporte de la litera cuando apoyaba fuerte, pero nada que afectara el descanso una vez recostado.
the two receptionists who attended me were very friendly, one with black hair who spoke Spanish and the other with short hair attended to any problem, clean and safe place, location a few minutes from the main streets of Naples, as well as a safe environment, only highlighted that the last night I changed room and the mattress was already very thin, so that sometimes I felt the support boards of the bunk when I supported it strongly, but nothing that would affect the rest once lying down.
Super atmosphère, le jardin est un vrai plus. L'hostel est placé dans un super quartier et le staff est super. Le seul bémol était le lit à 3 étages, qui n'était pas le plus pratique :)
The hostel is located in a super neighborhood and the staff is super. the only drawback was the 3-story bed, which was not the most convenient :)
I honestly loved it here. The staff were beyond friendly and the amenities were literally to die for. It’s in the middle of everything. I want to go back to Naples just to return to this Hostel!
Meraviglioso. Le nostre bimbe di 6 e 8 anni sono state benissimo, e noi anche, compreso il piccolo di 4 mesi. La camera col bagno privato comodissima. Molto comoda la cucina comune a disposizione, e stupenda la terrazza comune, dove poter fare colazione con le proprie cose o semplicemente godere della vista sul Vesuvio, il mare o castel sant’Elmo. Il giardino perfetto per rilassarsi in tranquillità
Our girls of 6 and 8 years old were great, and we too, including the 4 month old piccolo. the room with private bathroom is very comfortable. very comfortable the common kitchen at our disposal, and the common terrace is superb, where you can have breakfast with your own thing or simply enjoy the view of the Vesuvius, the sea or castle of San Elmo. the garden is perfect for relaxing in peace and quiet.

The hostel is very clean, with a pleasant and well-equipped atmosphere and attentive staff.
I had the best stay at Hopestel Napoli! The staff were so understanding and quick to support a problem we had with a roommate. Their help totally changed our experience of Naples and we would love to return! :)
