This place has bedbugs and we had to flee it at 3am. Aside from that, they just generally do not have their s*** together when it comes to managing the place, which was a headache. Their payment system is really annoying and there are cameras everywhere. Owner is XXXX while the volunteers (who are so sweet, by the way, and truly deserve better) clean up what seems to be mostly his mess.
Disgusting sticky dirty place. Take your shoes off because they don't take the energy to clean. Big brother cameras that follow you through every room and listen to your conversations. Furniture is painful, box spring mattresses arranged to look like furniture. Young anti-american men. Western tourists are there to pay for them. They do t take cash. They charge you in a way you don't expect. No one to check your out, and they force you to buy a skeleton key for an extra charg
The rooms are so hot and loud. No lockers and the doors are all left open all night. 15 minute walk into the centre of town.
During my visit, the owner was found violently beating his young female volunteer. He, Ricardo, is a dangerous manipulative psychopath and is known to the local police. The volunteer, a victim of domestic abuse, suffered bodily harm as guests fled the hostel in terror at 3am to escape Ricardo’s wrath. This wasn’t even an isolated incident. He has beaten his volunteers before, just look up google reviews for the hostel. Don’t stay at this hostel for your own safety, especially if you ar...
I do not recommend this place. During a so-called ‘traditional dinner’ the host pressured guests to drink and made intrusive personal toasts, which already felt deeply uncomfortable. Later that night we heard slapping and banging noises after the host took his much younger, visibly submissive partner into a room, which made several guests feel unsafe. I left at 3AM and even took my €10 deposit because I was afraid to confront the owner. This place did not feel safe.
I would advise people not to stay here for safety reasons. I enjoyed the hostel at first but I did notice some red flags in the atmosphere and the interactions between the owner and the volunteers. Then I come to realise there is an abusive situation with the hostel owner and there was a violent incident in the night fueled by alcohol which is now involving police. There's also video evidence of the incident.
I had to rate this hostel as low is I could. Even still, I wish I could rate it even lower. There was many red flags, but it wasn’t until my friends who stayed back one more night than me, contacted me the next morning I understood what type of person this hostel owner is. He was chasing his young, female volunteer down the street, drunk and extremely aggressive. And this is only one sequence of everything that was going on that night. Everyone is in safety now, the police is info...
Used to be a great hostel back in 2023. Now no facilities (internet/electricity issues), below average breakfast, and policies (late checkin/checkout charges). Had to buy USD 15 roaming package on my home country sim card because their wifi was not working. There was no one at reception and they didnt pickup call (at 9:30 AM)
The place is super beautiful and the people running the hostel are quite friendly. The kitchen is well equipped and the garden is really nice. However, I had the strong impression that they try to squeeze money out of everything (extra payment for a bottom bed, way too high charge for washing etc.) while keeping some services quite basic (small breakfast, no proper air condition).

Loved the Hostel. A really cozy atmosphere, especially all the chill spots outside with a nice view. Even though no other guest where there, the volunteers (expecially Gio) made sure I felt welcome
great hostel, only stayed there for one night but everything was super clean and everyone was very welcoming :)
stayed 5 nights in a 4-bed room. In general: high ceilings, wooden floors, garden, rooftop—but the vibe felt cold. The owner was polite but distant, sometimes passive-aggressive. Rooms are very basic. Biggest downside to me: extra costs! (15gel late checkout, 30gel laundry, overpriced trips (100gel)& food (30-60gel), overpriced booze. Cameras in common areas felt uncomfortable to me. Looks nice, but not worth the price.
This was the last hostel I stayed in on my trip. I have now found evidence of *bed-bugs* on my return - based on earlier reviews claiming people staying found an infestation, I can only assume I also picked it up here (private room). I do not recommend anyone stay here based on the high risk of bed bugs throughout the building. Go elsewhere. Staff were polite and pleasant (didn't meet the owner, only the volunteers), atmosphere lacking but this wasn't in the high season.
Stayed in a private room, great size. Family dinners organized daily by the volunteer staff who are very helpful. Would recommend if in Kutaisi for a few days.
Amazing hostel, very social and great options for excursions. The host is so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
I had a great time at Dingo! Such a friendly crowd of people, and the staff were really lovely. As soon as you walk in you feel the welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely come back 😃
Had a great time, the host also prepared a family dinner for the night I was there
It was a good experience to stay at the hostel. Great people, and a beautiful location!
Dingo's was such a great place to stay, I could not recommend it more! Ricardo made us feel right at home and breakfast was amazing. Only thing to note is you need a working phone when checking in as you cannot get inside the property without calling/texting someone. Will definitely come back to Dingo's the next time I'm in Kutaisi.
Friendly staff, good location, good beds. Highly recommend
Chill & cozy!
Amazing hostel, nice family vibe can definitely recommend it if you are in Kutaisi!
I was stayed there for a week to explore around Kutaisi. Great place to stayed. Ric is always entertain and welcoming all guests. He cook a free dinner and playful afterward. The place is very clean and safe, only 20minutes to city by walk. I would recommend to other for stay.
Riccardo and the entire staff at Dingo are all very kind and accommodating. We stayed there for one night, but they allowed us to leave our bags and use the facilities there into the next day as we had a late flight. The vibes and the hostel are very welcoming and we all even played uno together after dinner. In all my travels I could not recommend this place enough as one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in!
Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, would absolutely recommend if in Kutaisi.
not right in city center, but very relaxed. Great essy hostel, Ricardo and Alvaro are very helpful.
Great hostel, set in a really beautiful old building. Staff communication and advice on where to go/what to do was excellent, would definitely stay here again when i come back to Kutaisi
Very good experience
