Wouldn’t recommend staying here. On the final day of out stay, we encountered two fully developed adult bedbugs at broad daylight – one crawling across a duvet, another lying directly beneath our suitcase. As we discovered these, my mum started looking for traces of them – and surely enough, she found a nest with poop, eggs, and moult from bedbugs. As we told the hotel about this very critical situation, we were met with an abdication of responsibility from their side, not even owning up to the fact that it was bedbugs, despite us showing clear photo evidence. The only thing we were offered, was that we could wash our clothing ourselves. The receptionist put me on the phone to the manager, where I requested a refund. This is due to the fact, that we might have to cover expenses to exterminate bedbugs, which will exceed the actual cost of the stay. She wouldn’t provide us one, and still didn’t acknowledge the fact, that it was in fact bedbugs. But as we provided photo evidence, a technician shortly after confirmed, that it was in fact bedbugs. She still refused to provide a full refund, but after a lot of back and forth, instead offered 50%, which I then accepted, with a promise of her discussing a full refund with her managers on Monday the 6th. I’m still to hear from her or the hotel. All of this have caused mental distress. Both due to the possibility of having to deal with bedbugs, but also due to the poor handling of the situation of the manager, who continuously denied acknowledging the fact that it was bedbugs. Even though we’ve taken all of the measurements not to bring the bedbugs into our homes, we still have to live in ignorance for the next few months, not knowing whether we’ve been successful or not. Not knowing whether we will end up with a big bill, having to spend a lot of money to exterminate bedbugs in our own homes, brought home from this hotel. Due to all of the reasons listed above, I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at this hotel.
