The hostel is conveniently located by the airport, but lacks atmosphere, cleanliness (bathrooms) and generally a welcoming feeling. The dorm beds were clean, but super small! The host spoke no English and continued speaking very fast Spanish with us even when we asked him to please speak slower. He did offer to drive us to the airport as we had a very early flight, for “only” 15 USD. We opted to walk the 6 minutes instead. Oh and paying by card means you pay 10% more. We wouldn’t return.
I’d say the biggest positives were the beds were clean and the staff was friendly. They didn’t speak the best english which was fine overall but the phone call to request the shuttle was a little difficult. All worked out though. My main issues were that they lost my private room reservation and put me into a dorm (Dont book via hostelworld), the shower water ran out two minutes into my shower (had to rinse soap off using a trickle from the sink), and i saw cockroaches outside but not insi...
Warnung! Bucht bitte nicht dieses Hostel, wenn ihr spät abends ankommt. Reservierungen werden trotz Anzahlung und offizieller Bestätigung einfach gecancelt und die Zimmer vergeben. Der Betreiber war am Telefon sehr unfreundlich und legte einfach auf. Ich hatte im Vorfeld sogar angegeben, dass ich erst nach Mitternacht ankommen würde. Ich stand daraufhin komplett aufgeschmissen um 2 Uhr nachts alleine am Flughafen ohne Unterkunft und Internetverbindung.
They refused to let me in at the gate, at 10 o'clock at night after a 24 hour journey. I had my booking number at hand but they didnt care. They simply said that the hostel was fully booked. Instead of refunding me or helping me find an alternative accommodation, they hung up and left me standing there in the dark. On the phone, it sounded like this is something that happens more often.
Je suis arrivé sur place et il n'avais plus de place malgré ma réservation avec hostel Word, je suis très déçue, j'espère que Hostel World va me rembourser ce que j'ai payé....
El personal es muy amable. Calidad precio... podrían ser más bonitas las habitaciones y los baños. El desayuno incluido le agrega valor. La ubicación si te interesa cercanía con el aeropuerto está muy bien.

The staff was very nice, but the van didn’t work so they couldn’t get us from the Airport and they just told us to walk to the hostel at night. Our first room had bedbugs, so we had to be moved to a different room. The hostel is inside a gated community, so it feels quite safe, but the rooms don’t have keys or lockers so anyone could just walk in. It’s fine if you just need a place near the airport to stay for the night, but I would not recommend staying longer.
De eigenaar was heel aardig en behulpzaam en de plek was schoon. Ik vind alleen de prijs kwaliteit verhouding nergens op slaan. Je vind makkelijk kamers van 8 euro per nacht die er veel mooier uitzagen. Er waren geen kluizen, bijna geen oplaad punten en een mini douche. Het is dat ik en mijn partner de enige waren. Geen idee hoe we onze telefoons moesten opladen met meerdere mensen. Ook kon iedereen alles meenemen als ze zouden willen. Absoluut geen 20 euro waard voor een hostel.
The owner was very nice and helpful and the place was clean. I just find the price-quality ratio nowhere to be found. You can easily find rooms from 8 euros per night that look much nicer. There were no lockers, almost no charging points and a mini shower. It's just that my partner and I were the only ones. No idea how we were going to charge our phones with multiple people. Also, everyone could take anything they wanted. Absolutely not worth 20 euros for a hostel.
Sehr freundlicher Besitzer, der mich vom Flughafen abgeholt hat. Allerdings war die Kommunikation vorher relativ schwierig. Das Hostel selber ist nicht besonders gemütlich und könnte eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Die Betten im 9-er Dormitory waren extrem klein und sehr hart und ungemütlich. Es war sehr kalt nachts und die Tür zum Flachdach war nicht abschließbar. Es ist sehr nah zum Flughafen gelegen. Aber das nächste Mal werde ich ein anderes Hostel wählen.
Very friendly owner who picked me up from the airport. however communication was relatively difficult before. the hostel itself is not particularly cozy and could use a renovation. the beds in the 9th dormitory were extremely small and very hard and uncomfortable. it was very cold at night and the door to the flat roof was unlockable. it is located very close to the airport. but next time i will choose another hostel.
The owner is nice but the facility is run down and overpriced. No hot water in the shower

Old, rundown place full of mishmash furniture, antiques and stuff Mosquitos, warm beer, shabby kitchen, huge rooftop, excellent fries. In a sketchy area but ok during the day and 4 blocks to shopping. May work for you but hostels in Zone 10 are way better! Happy travels! 🤩

It’s clean, the staff are warm and helpful. Simple, convenient, and great value — highly recommended!
Very quiet and calm place to stay. I would say the vibe more matches a hotel than a stereotypical hostel. The staff were very friendly and the space was clean. It is literally right outside the airport, which is incredibly convenient for travel. My only note is that there isn't much within walking distance besides the airport so be prepared to take taxis.

O Great place to have a rest before your flight
Het personeel is heel goed bereikbaar en heel behulpzaam! Ook was de kamer erg schoon!

direkt am Flughafen. Für 80 GTQ (ca 8€) wird man abgeholt. Der Hostelmitarbeiter war sehr zuvorkommend und hat mir mit allem geholfen. Keine Schließfächer, aber saubere Räume. Küche vorhanden, aber eher empfehlenswert zum durchreisen.

C’est un établissement superbe, avec un charme indéniable pour une escale sur Guatemala city. Le personnel est tellement aimable que l’on s’attache vite à eux! Point très positif le quartier est très bien sécurisé

Great location for a stopover by the airport. Secure gate, welcoming vibe although quiet at the moment, mainly with other travellers passing through. The family that run the hostel are very, very helpful and considerate and I felt well looked after. Clean and comfortable for a night!
Good place to stay right near the airport
Very close to the airport, walk up the hill and you're practically there. Staff was helpful, rooms were large, hot showers, no complaints.

The hostel is very clean, and very quiet! I really enjoyed it, and it was perfect to end my trip in Guatemala. Stayed here and caught a flight the next morning. It’s in a gated community so it is a bit tricky, but just show your reservation and passport to the guy at the gate and you’ll be good!
Hostel ist super nah am Flughafen gelegen. Dafür leider etwas ausserhalb der beliebten Gegenden der Stadt. Das Personal ist nett, spricht aber kein Spanisch.
Hostel is located super close to the airport. for that matter a bit outside the popular areas of the city. the staff is nice, but does not speak spanish.
Great hostel for a one night stay - no vibe given travellers mostly coming and going. Rules on the kitchen (one cup of coffee, water to be drunk only on site etc) all felt a bit much for a hostel.
