Adventure Queenstown Hostel

Idk how this hostel has such a high rating. Claustrophobic old rooms, women’s hair on the bedsheets. Very small kitchen. I moved to absoloot by the lake after here, so much better.

Pretty good hostel but it was quite dirty

The hostel itself is generally ‘clean’ & the staff are lovely but it is up there with one of the most tired & overused hostels I’ve stayed at; it has the classic smell of an establishment that has seen better days. The thin walls make it loud, the beds are small and uncomfortable & rooms v. cramped The ski/board drying room is very small & forces you to hang most of your clothing gear in your tiny room. I didn't like the idea that anyone can come at night and bring guests into the room where other people sleep. Because of that, I had to cancel my visit; it was the most terrible hostel experience. Overall, the hostel isn't bad, and I have no complaints about the staff. The sheets could be newer because they look worn. Unfortunately, I got unlucky, and there was one incident where a guy was having intimate relations with a random girl in the room. I asked for a refund but i did not get..

Rooms are quite good, staff is very nice and there’s lots of free stuff you can take from the reception. A tiny bit overpriced in my opinion, but I think that’s just Queenstown. Overall I would definitely come again.

Good bed setup with curtains, light, plug. Only one toilet and shower for 24 people, you had to go downstairs for other toilets and showers which was very annoying if you woke for the loo in the night. Good kitchen with sufficient hobs etc. Staff varied, one girl was really friendly and the other one seemed fed up all the time. Great organised social events, really enjoyed the quiz night. Security was zero - doors were unlocked and anyone could walk in off the street. Location was amazing.

While the staff are great, the facilities are in a state of total disrepair. The building has a persistent, unpleasant odor, and I encountered broken showers, non-functional PCs, and even flooding in the rooms. The owners need to invest in basic maintenance.

A great vibe, as it’s effortless to meet people and hang out with other travellers. The hang out areas are very well equipped, and the staff are lovely. Would definitely revisit.

Beds were small. Wifi didn’t work in room (Sophie’s room). Kitchen was nice

sub par hostel. location is excellent, beds are decent and the kitchen was big enough. did a wash with them and they returned it still damp, not enough bathrooms, dead atmosphere and there is no one on front desk past 7:30pm and if you ask the staff something past that they seem bothered by it. In the bottom 20 percent of the hostels I've stayed in this trip. Would stay elsewhere if you can find somewhere available

I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was awesome (especially Izzy and Sophie were amazing), hostel was tidy and clean, beds were comfy and even towels were provided. After a long day I could talk to other travellers cause the hostel provides perfect conditions for socialising, when I was too tired to talk, I could just have my own space in bed as the beds have courtains and are big enough. Highly recommended to every fella who likes socialising, adventures, comfort and cleanliness.

Would highly recommend this hostel!! Great location in Queenstown and was super clean. They also make an effort to host activities so I found it very social. Beds are comfortable and would definitely stay here again next time I’m back.

Great location, easy to find, right in the middle of town. The information provided for a late check in was super informative and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds really comfortable, love the privacy curtains and charging port. The under bed storage was great. Kitchen and eating area’s were tidy and organised, the bathroom in the room had a good shower and was cleaned regularly. The staff were super helpful and friendly, it was a great stay overall. Really a great hostel. Location is in the city center, the staff was so kind, there was Entertainment every single evening, the communal areas were amazing m, loved it, super comfy. Kitchen well looked after and a lot, I really mean a lot of kitchen utensils. Bathrooms and rooms were als great. Loved it and the atmosphere

Superbe!! La cuisine est peut être un peu petite pour la totalité des résidents mais les équipements sont complets!

Ensuite shower was lovely and big, the views from the hostel are great. Facilities in the kitchen were good. Beds were very springy, I felt like I was waking everyone up when I moved around.

The facilities were clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. The beds were clean and comfortable. The location was close enough to town where it was easy to get to but far enough or we didn’t get any noise. I would definitely stay again.

Really awesome hostel, great location, staff really friendly and super speedy laundry service! Bar crawl was really fun and inclusive. Only slight downside was the street noise from the McDonald’s outside was very loud on weekend nights until 4/5am even with windows closed. Not the hostel’s fault of course but bring ear plugs!

Really loved this hostel. The kitchen was clean and big enough for everyone to cook and I really liked the balcony area. The staff were really friendly too. Only issue was that the doors to the rooms were never locked but I just kept valuables in my locker so not really an issue

Great hostel - perfect location, fun nightly activities, comfy beds, and good common areas to meet other backpackers. Also shoutout to Izzy for getting my laundry back to me so quick.

You can't go wrong with this hostel. The kitchen and balcony is a perfect social area. All the bathrooms are modern and clean. very central location, helpful staff, and decent events. its the ultimate hostel experience, go see for yourself

Everything was great, the rooms/beds were excellent, the atmosphere was good, it was perfectly centrally located, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating.

The absolute best stay in Queenstown! It’s such a really fun environment where everyone feels relaxed and welcomed from the second they walk in. Tom runs a top-tier spot, and the staff are all so helpful. Huge shoutout to Lotte, Jo, Megan, and a special mention to Izzie!They are absolute legends who make the vibe what it is. Honestly, the little things like having two pillows and a nice towel really made all the difference, and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. Get it booked if in QT!

Heel fijn hostel, handdoek inclusief, vriendelijk personeel, ook de bedden waren top! In de toekomst wil ik hier opnieuw verblijven!

Perfect location right in town, some decent common areas. Very low event attendance. Staff were helpful and friendly. There were some people sleeping overnight in the living room area which was strange.

Lovely, small hostel which has everything you need and lots of charm. Would highly recommend. :)
