   J’ai apprécié le petit déjeuner copieux, l’emplacement pratique et le prix abordable. La proximité de la gare de Bruxelles Midi et de la station Clémenceau est appréciable. L’équipe de jour était serviable et bienveillante. J'avais réservé un dortoir réservé aux femmes, mais l’établissement n’a pas respecté cette réservation : un homme a été installé dans le dortoir sans que nous, les occupantes de la chambre, en soyons prévenues. Aucune solution ne m'a été proposée malgré ma demande. L'absence de casier sécurisé est également regrettable. J’ai également été choquée par les propos tenus par le réceptionniste de nuit au sujet des artistes coréens qui se produisaient à Bruxelles et de leur fans durant mon séjour. Enfin, le quartier m’a semblé peu rassurant en soirée, ce qui a renforcé mon inconfort.

   Every time I read a review that states "worst hostel ever", I always think someone is overreacting. Now I get it. We have stayed in a lot of hostels, some which have worse reviews than this one. Some, not all, of the staff is rude. My friend was sick one night, nonstop throwing up, and not feeling well. She sat in a chair in the hallway outside the rooms quietly, when one of the staff members came and had an attitude with her. This staff member told her she could not sit there and had to go back to bed.She explained the situation but the man had no compassion. He told her to go sit outside, at 2 AM. The area is sketchy. During the day it's usually ok, but it can feel scary at night. Luggage got stolen. The beds are horrible. They are actively falling apart. They make so much noise, I cannot stress this enough, SO MUCH NOISE, that just by turning your head you wake up the entire room. The rooms can get very hot, there are no fans. The bathroom stalls are so small, if you are over 165cm tall you can't really close the door to go to the toilet. And the floors are always soaking wet. There is no common area inside. The breakfast is not worth paying for!! The yoghurt is usually expired, and the bread is so stale and dry is snaps in two. The other guests staying here was also an issue for us. I don't want to blame the hostel for their guests, but almost everyone we met or had in our room was inconsiderate and frankly disgusting. (Walking around naked, eating loudly and smacking at 1AM, turning the lights on during the night, slamming doors during the night, stealing food from the fridge, loud snoring/medical sleep conditions, uncomfortable looks from men, uncomfortable comments from men, weed smell, bad smells in general, etc.) The only positive thing about the experience is the one staff member that checked us in, and offered us a female only dorm even though we booked the mixed dorm one.

   Single member of staff was okay. Only time I have found myself booking out at 2.30am, just couldn't stand it. The local area is rough enough, with the hostel locking the front door. As. I checked in and went to the room it felt like I was being taken to a foreign jail. Beds crammed into rooms so tight, no room for lockers so you have to leave all your property on the floor and trust strangers. The are no locks on the room doors so people outside can just come and go as they please. Some half drunk guy with a can in his hand just walked in uninvited and sat on the spare bed chatting away. Then just left to wonder around the hostel drunk. Woken up as some new guy came on at 2am on the morning and just went to sleep in his clothes. At the same time a smelly was emitted that was a chemical smell that was unbearable (I work in healthcare) that I would say was similar to crack. I tried to escape it by going to the toilet to find one man in a cubicle whilst another stood outside keeping lookout. This was all happening at 2am. Decided that enough was enough and would rather spend the next four hours sitting outside the train station in the dark than continue trying to sleep in this place. The staff member did offer me another room when he saw me checking out, but I respectfully declined.

   It looked clean Their number was not working. When texting in English they reply in French, not politely. Wait for the worst part: I booked for my girlfriend a female dorm room for 6 persons and the manager gave her a room with double bed and random guy sleeping next to her on the same bed. And during the night another stranger man was entering for two-three times trying to Klimt the other bed which was broken. So the room itself doesn’t have a lock so anyone could just come in. Is it fucking safe? This place really sucks!! I don’t know a hostel worse than this one. I hope it will be closed forever as soon as possible!!!!!!!

   DO NOT BOOK. worst hostel ever. I checked in at 3pm for 2 days. got back from exploring the town to find someone in my bed then was made to change bed at 1am in the middle of the night. at 9am was made to move out again as said I didn't pay for that roomand had to check-in again at 3pm. staff was very rude. doors have no locks. property is based in a shady ally so anyone from outside can enter your room. totally unsafe. no lockers. no toilet paper. people smoking in the room. totally disgusting

   The location was close to the train station. Of the hostels I stayed at during my Euro trip, this one had the least value for money. They charged me ~140+ euros for 3 nights + I had to pay a city tax. And while yes, there was free breakfast and the location is close to the train station, I would say the area around felt unsafe, especially for female solo travellers. We booked a female-only dorm room, but on the first night, they sent 3 men to our room. The other females in my room complained because we paid extra for a female-only dorm. Good thing they sorted it out. We stayed in the adjacent wing, which seemed newly renovated, but the bathroom and room themselves had no lock, so we needed everyone in the room to be female. Because what if someone just randomly came into the bathroom while we were bathing?

    The location was convenient and the breakfast good. First of all, I arrived late at night and had to wait for a few minutes in front of the door, which didn't make me feel safe as a woman alone in a dark street. Then, I booked a 6 beds female dormitory, however, upon arrival I was given a 12 beds female dormitory for the same price. There was no lock to the dormitory, neither to the bathroom. When I was already in the dorm, a male staff member entered the room without even knocking. I felt very unsafe in that unlocked room, in which we could hear all sorts of noise during the night. Additionally, we were only given one bed sheet, so we couldn't cover both the bed and the blanket.

    DO NOT STAY HERE I stayed here for 3 nights, and had to leave a night early as during the middle of the night a man entered my female dorm and filmed me while I was sleeping and then slept on the empty bunk above my bed- I contacted hostel world about this issue but they were unhelpful, I also believe the man who filmed me to be a member of staff at the hostel or at least a friend of the staff, seriously dangerous i am lucky I wasn’t hurt!

    Definitely would not recommend to female solo travelers, the area that the hostel was in is not the best and there are no keys so anyone can come into any room in the building. Another thing with the location, it is pretty far outside the city center, probably about a 30 minute walk which is pretty easy in the morning but after walking around doing things all day is a bit of a hassle. That being said, the staff is so nice and accommodating, they went above and beyond when me and my friend had a situation with another guest and offered compensation in the form of free drinks and food for our troubles. If you're good with a walk and with someone I would recommend this place. Never felt unsafe.

    Just fine. You get what you pay for. I was here with a large group of friends so my dorm was primarily people I knew which was nice but I'm not sure how comfortable I would've felt without my friends. I think there's only 1 key per room so another girl who was assigned to our room had to ask knock at 3am to be let in because we had the only key. Kinda sketchy area also and I would not feel safe travelling alone. Staff was super nice though, lovely people, not place.

    Staff was nice, thats about all i did like about this place. Close to Midi station. Location is so unsafe. Close to Midi station which means there are homeless people, police, beggars, and drug users around. Facilities: Broken showers, dirty toilets and showers. Have to pay for the towels and my towel was stolen from the bed. No soap, no handpaper. No sheets for the dirty blankets so everyone sleeps with them without covers. Noisy place. Breakfast was all about bread, cereals, and biscuits, jam, nothing else. In a nutshell: This was like hell. So dirty, old, noisy and an unsafe area. I felt discust after this visit. Please book something else.

    The staff were kind however I don’t recommend staying here ESPECIALLY if you are a girl as the area is extremely unsafe, my friend and I wouldn’t usually get scared in places but this place was a different level, the men lurk around staring, cat calling, asking for attention both during the day and at night, but much worse at night, many of them are drunk and on drugs. Walking home after a night out was absolutely terrifying. We tried to ignore them most of the time but this resulted in abuse shouted at us. No exaggeration- men lurk around bascially at the hostels door step so be careful

    Pretty bad hostel. Definitely a last resort, but if you need a bed it’s there. No key card, anyone can walk in. Facilities are booty cheeks. No vibe, just collective dread.

    It was in an incredibly unsafe area, the staff were rude to us, the facilities were poor and there are barely any toilettes. We were in the female dormitory but there were no locks on the doors and men could easily walk in to the area. A man even entered our room during the night.

    NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN!! Men use the women’s bathroom and showers and they just “have a word with them”. I said I don’t feel safe and the owner laughed. A man broke the door down when I was on the toilet so would 100% not recommend. The owner is a creep winking, making love hearts, blowing kisses and weird comments at me.

    The location was very convenient. It was a 5 minute walk from the train station with two grocery stores on the same block. The breakfast was good and a friendly staff member was willing to give us breakfast early on our last day because we had a train to catch. There was a surprise 16 euro charge when we checked in. They gave us dirty sheets that we had to request a replacement for. It was just a flat sheet and pillowcase with no duvet cover. The bunk beds were very rickety with stiff mattresses and there was absolutely no privacy. They crammed four bunk beds in a little room so you were sleeping next to someone else’s head. There were no quiet hours because they were still doing construction/repairs until 11:00pm and bringing new people up to the room and turning on the light and having a loud conversation past midnight. The bathroom on our level was never operational so we (male and female) had to share a men’s only shower and bathroom upstairs with 2 floors. The bathroom upstairs was also falling apart (door handle always fell off, stall light wouldn’t stay on, door molding was hanging off), cramped, unclean, and unstocked. The shower water never got warm. They had lockers available but they were too narrow to fit suitcases and you had to bring/buy your own lock, but the lockers could still be jiggled open sometimes. It literally felt like everything was falling apart. The photos on the booking were completely misleading and nothing looked nearly as nice in real life. The photos did not show anything about the current state of the facilities. It felt a little scammy.

    Not horrible for one night, fairly clean and conveniently located next to train station and not too far to walk to the city center. However, shower stalls were a single curtain which was uncomfortable on a mixed floor. There was no lock on the dorm door or front door.

    As a woman traveling alone, I don’t recommend this place. The area near the station feels unsafe. Staff was nice, but there are no outlets by the bed, doors don’t lock, and the toilets are dirty. The mixed showers have only a loose curtain and no changing space. Even at a low price, it’s neither safe nor comfortable.

    I have seen so many hostels in my life. This one was really terrible. There was a fire alarm biping every minutes, number of wc was not enough and dirty. There was no lock on the door of dormatory. The doors were opened itself by the circulation of air. Location was the famous criminal area of brussel. I can only come to this hostel again at the end of october to celebrate hallowin..

    Fine for one night but we didn’t shower or spend much time there. There were no outlets by the beds also our floor didn’t have a working bathroom (but we were able to use the bathroom downstairs). Kinda in a sketch area and the door to our room didn’t lock which I didn’t love. Staff were nice and complementary breakfast was nice

    There is no safety precautions. All doors are unlocked and anyone from the street could walk into your room. We were supposed to stay 5 nights and ended up only staying 1 because we did not feel safe here at all. The location is close to the train station but very dangerous. We heard shouting all night. The showers are also all gendered and only have a very thin curtain and no place to put anything without it getting wet. I wouldn’t recommend especially for female travelers.

    Breakfast was acceptable, with inexpensive supermarket items. The location is pleasant, with restaurants nearby and the train station close by. The cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. The bathrooms were small and untidy, with many items either broken or missing. On the first night, when I tried to use the toilet, I discovered it had not been flushed by someone on the floor, and when I attempted to flush it, the water overflowed. Fortunately, a staff member arrived shortly after and fixed the issue. The bunk beds were disorganized, with missing screws that made them feel somewhat unsafe. Additionally, there were security concerns; one night, a drunk man entered our room without knocking, simply looking for a lighter to smoke.

    I spent one night there and was glad to leave. The hostel is in a sketchy part of town and the fact that there was absolutely no security really was anxiety inducing. There were no locks on the inside. Anyone could walk into any of the rooms. There was supposedly a lock on the outside door but my friends and I were able to just push it open, even late at night. The duvet was not clean. The bathrooms were fine for me but I didn’t shower so idk about that. The staff were friendly. Overall not good

    Way too few lockers. Tjose who are there are mostly damaged. The rooms are not lockable, I felt absolutely unsafe!! & hardly slept by that. There was a lot of things going on in other rooms, superloud & yelling and stuff, it took forever until s.b. came to take care or the weirt people & the bad situation. Twice men stepped in the female dormitorium and once in the bathroom. The bathroom / showers are superbroke. Hardly opportunities to lay down clothes while showering. No bedsheet for the blanket

    If you’re staying more than 1 night, hate being clean, love feeling unsafe, or enjoy the creepiness of men, then this place is for you. I can’t make this up, there was a man masturbating under the comforter (which isn’t washed) during the day while I was in the room. There was also a guy smoking in the dorm (the open window doesn’t help). I got a hotel after two nights because I couldn’t take it any longer. The only upside is that it’s close to the midi station and the staff were friendly.

    Breakfast ok ..It was a good location for me & available….but …..Needs a elevator , 4 flights of stairs,after cycling all day is a little tuff to negotiate, could have done without the lecture from the guy on reception how hard his job was climbing up these 50 times a day.. .. IDC ! .. Not cycle friendly .. Dirty , smokers in the toilets , toilets so small built for children I think! Showers ok but do not drain leaving huge lagoons on a tiled floor . See above details.. The guy on reception took my 40£ for payment as I didn’t have €’s left …conversion = 47€ @ the point of sale …no change given ¿

    The bathroom was dirty and the soap always empty. There is just one key per room, so if you want to lock the door over night, you have to discuss that with all other roommates and compare your evening plans. The biggest problem was the scary atmosphere caused by different workers who came in/ tried to open the door, without telling us what they wanted. The one night we stayed was interrupted by three tries to get into room. Unfortunately we didn’t feel safe at all…

    The other guests certainly made the experience. I think i was double charged when I arrived. The facilities were a bit alright, it was a bed and a bathroom. The showers felt a bit odd and one of the toilets were not working. The door was never properly locked and the owner would come in while we were sleeping and monitor us.

    Please avoid staying at all costs. The staff were amazing super friendly and nice BUT everything else was just unacceptable. There’s no lock on the doors. Strangers have come into our room twice without knocking. I feel super unsafe the whole time. The worst part is that there seems to be a women staying for the room for long - she wouldn’t let me use the closet and always plays videos out loud, even when I asked her twice. She was constantly making noises and I chose to leave at 2am. Worst one

    I booked a bed in a six-bed female dorm. The rooms don’t lock, the owner suggested to put a guy in my room for my “safety.” On my last night, a mixed-gender couple was placed in my room, despite my booking specifically being for a female dorm.The hostel was dirty. also unacceptable. dirty dishes piled in the sink, moldy food left in the fridge, and trash overflowing. To top it off, I saw a mouse run across the counter while I was trying to heat up leftovers. Stay somewhere else.

    Every night I stayed there I had to get a new bed because they gave the bed to someone else. They said if I leave my stuff on the bed they won’t give it to someone else but I don’t want to leave my stuff to get stolen. Safety wise is horrible too. No locks on doors and the neighborhood is sketchy. The staff don’t really care about your safety either. Overall, everything is unorganized and they have a lot to improve to make the place and more safe and comfortable place.

    I’ve been traveling for many years now and I have never been to such an awful hostel. I booked a 4 bed female room as a solo traveler. The area is not nice at all, they didn’t give me a key, my door had no lock and neither did my luggage storage space. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more unsafe. The staff proceeded to tell me I need to tell them where I am after 12 so they may open the doors for me. The bathroom was DISGUSTING, and one stall had no door. The bathroom was for the whole floor too.
