Dozy Lamoon House

The owner was helpful in leaving a video on getting in when I arrived late. That was helpful. What made me angry was that I paid for a week to stay there but got an invitation to go on a road trip soon after. I asked the owner if she could extend a couple days to make up for the days I would not be sleeping there and would also have to pay to sleep somewhere else. At first she said she would but when I asked again she said I was making up rules and wouldn't work with me.

De matrassen van dit hostel zijn relatief slecht: zeer hard. Ook zit de badkamer aan de kamers vast. Zelf vind ik het prettiger als dit niet zo is, omdat bij gebruik van de badkamer iedereen wakker wordt. Er zijn ook geen gordijnen bij de bedden, waardoor privacy ontbreekt. De douche was prettig en de badkamer schoon. Het personeel is vriendelijk.

No reception staff, only our host who we saw three times over our six days. This was over a weekend if she was busy, but no staff hired for this time- Even during 9-5 hours. Frequently messaged her about our accommodation bill not being paid after 3 days of not seeing her. Said we could pay her cleaner who we had never met, no peace of mind on our end, or professionalism on hers. No way of booking tours, taxis, or days out through her with any reliability. das Zimmer ist sehr ungemütlich. Das Personal ist zwar nett, aber man muss viel selber machen z.B. den Ausweis per WhatsApp schicken. Vieles was eigentlich im Zimmer sein sollte (genug Handtücher, Toilettenpapier etc.) wir nur auf Nachfrage wieder willigrausgegeben.

I decided to try out the mixed dorm situation and it was so awful. Two men tried flirting with me and it was really uncomfortable. Bathroom was gross. No privacy around beds. It is not expensive, but was not worth it for me.

wat een vriendelijke gastvrouw! Stond voor je klaar wanneer je een vraag had en hielp je meedenken. Hadden voor 4 nachten geboekt maar zijn uiteindelijk, helaas, na 1 nacht vertrokken naar een andere accomodatie. De reden hiervoor is het enorm harde matras. Amper een oog dicht gedaan. daarnaast is de badkamer ook erg basic en kun je als mannelijke westerling niet onder de douche staan. Ook vrij gehorige omgeving.

We had small ants in our room. Aditionally we felt weird about booking a 'taxi' to the airport, which turned out was one of the people working for the hostel.

The lady at the reception is so nice and helpful !! However, the bathroom was not cleaned in the 4 nights we spent there and it is not quite in the center but if your looking for a calm hostel it’s a good place

Fairly Spartan accommodations, but recently secure staff was nice and helpful. Could use some better organisation and some privacy curtains around the beds.

Un hostel bastante bueno, camas y almohadas comodas, el baño bastante bien y equipado, la chica que lo lleva es super amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar, si volviese a chiang mai volveria aqui sin duda porque em precio es muy muy bueno

Fantastic peaceful Hostel for those who want to wind down after a long day of travels or just have some quiet. The property is conveniently located in the old city, just a few minutes walk to a couple temples. The room was clean and everything worked well without issues. The owner, Jina, is incredibly sweet and helpful. She gave great recommendations for what to do in Chiang Mai and where to eat. We kept in contact through WhatsApp which made it easy to get recommendations and book activities!

Owner and location are great! Partner and I stayed in a private room and enjoyed a clean and comfortable stay. Dozy house was a great landing place for us for the 4 nights we were in Chiang Mai.

We had the best time at Dozy House! The family are the friendliest and super helpful! We had problems due to the flooding in Chiang Mai, but they were very flexible and helped with information and getting us a taxi on the day of our departure. Thank you so much and see you again if we are back in Chiang Mai! 😄

Muy bien ubicado. El recepcionista muy copado. Nos vendieron la excursión a Phi Phi. El desayuno muy rico! Y nos dejaron dejar las valijas. Recomiendo.

Super cute and safe hostel. The host is amazing and so helpful, she gave us so many recommendations for things to do and booked them for us. The ac works great and our private room was so spacious and clean!

Nice rooms, very clean. AC is a little old but working. Place is quiet, didn't meet anybody else and seen the staff a couple of times - always very kind and helpful. Not social place, but good for people who need a break from the buzz on low budget. Would be nice if they could give some more services, like bike rental.

Super uncomfortable beds!

I stayed with a friend there during Songkran festival. Super well located with nice facilities. Our room was spacious and with an extra balcony. The owner was incredibly adorable and kept checking on us, our stay, our appreciation of the town ! She gave us advices and was really nice even if we were all coming back dirty and wet from Songkran! Really nice experience and I would recommend it 100% if you pass by Chiang Mai 🤩 We hope to be back soon ❤️

Fantastic hostel if you want a chilled base to go do stuff. No events or anything, but so close to the other hostels that it didn’t matter at all. Jina-Dham the owner is an incredible host and did everything to make our experience as good as possible - will definitely be back!

This hostel is amazing! Had a private room, which is nice, clean and basic. The woman who owns it, Jina, is THE sweetest lady I’ve met. I was super sick when I got to this hostel and she took me to the doctor. Even visited me in the hospital at night to make sure I was okay. Love, love, love her!

Cozy hostel with a super friendly and obliging host. Rooms are big with nice paintings, clean and with a beautiful bathroom. Can highly recommend to stay in Jane‘s Dozy House during your visit in Chiang Mai.

I was in the private room and it felt like home. It has a great location and the host was really nice and kind. 100% recommended.

Jina the owner is so friendly! The hostel is nice and relaxed, people who book a place like this and rate the atmosphere down just aren’t thinking, it’s clearly not a party hostel so don’t mark it down for that! It’s a good location with temples and loads of nice food places within a 10min walk. The private rooms are huge, good bathrooms too with reliable hot water.
