Reeks of mould. Don’t bother booking. Serious health hazard, had to leave
The whole place felt damp / moisty and there was a wierd smell everywhere. It was a bit hard to sleep since they couldnt even bother oiling the door hinges. I chose to look for another place ehen i arrived, i offered to pay for 2 nights and to be refunded the rest. They faked their hospitality and said i might receive a refund if i do some emailing. In the end i got nothing back. In the end i booked another place and left.
I can only warn against this hostel! As with another recent previous review, I had a total of 3000 Bath and 100 US-Dollar stolen from my locked backpack in my private room during shower and breakfast. This hostel has no Security Camera as stated in the description. I was not helped, instead it was insinuated that I was committing an insurance fraud. Consequently I have reported this hostel to website and the local police. So, better keep your hands off this hostel!
This is the only hostel we’ve ever booked for multiple nights, and left after the 1st. The bathrooms had no toilet seats or hand soap. The bathroom sink was crawling with ants and the showers were disgusting and clogged leaving pools of water in them. The staff was non existent, we tried to ask them multiple things and they were no where to be found. The 1 time we saw them I asked about the hand soap for the bathrooms to which they said we, “oh we don’t provide that”.

No one was there, the outlets didn't work and the staff could only speak Thai, unfortunately not again!
I found bed bug in my bed so ! You can’t choose your bed and the shower isn’t clean It’s wasn’t good experience…
The hostel was very clean and had comfortable beds! However there were a few things we came across, such as: the main front door doesn’t lock unless you push it hard(not ideal as there is no staff during the night), there was a rat in the kitchen/common room and lastly, the kitchen did not include many appliances nor food which they said they had…
Le code d’ouverture de la porte de l’hostel - supposée verrouillée la nuit - est écrit en gros sur ladite porte… Pour la sécurité, on peut mieux faire. Check-in et check out en autonomie, sentiment d’un lieu pas très accueillant. Le dortoir était petit et austère.
The opening code of the hostel door - supposedly locked at night - is written roughly on said door... For security, we can do better. Check-in and check-out in autonomy, feeling of a place not very welcoming.
The hostel is very clean and okay for a short stay but there is no air con in the rooms and the beds are pod style but length ways so it can be quite claustrophobic especially without air con.
There were not many people. My bed was dirty. The bathroom was never or very rarely cleaned. Was not social at all. Staff was nice.

Great hostel and value for money. Pod beds super comfy with 2 pillows, duvet and privacy curtain. Clean and comfy environment. Not a social hostel, quiet, near food markets and local amenmities. Had small complimentary breakfast placed out in morning too. Lost points as one shower didn’t heat up, and downstairs door got slightly stuck closing and would need pushing closed to lock properly
Super cute hostel where I felt super safe
beds are so comfy, like your own little pod with a light and plug. lots of space for luggage and 2 lockers per bed. seconds away from the big night markets and bazaars. staff weren’t around much, but we managed to extend our stay because we loved it so much. we will definitely be back

Didn’t see a single staff member when we arrived. We didn’t knew this before hand. So self check in. Which is fine, but I got a text message after I left I still had to pay. It’s not my fault that there was no staff member for the entire stay. They asked me to come back and pay because it didn’t work trough bank account. Not social. Room is nice, but AC is placed weirdly. So one part of the room is very warm while the other side is nice and cool
Great location if you need a quiet place to sleep and chill out, staff are lovely
Honestly the best hostel I’ve stayed in so far (been travelling 2.5 months). Bathrooms could have been a hotels, rooms quiet and clean. Drink bottle refill and breakfast! Staff were super friendly. Was not social or busy when we were there. Perfect location: short walk to city centre and markets, short grab to train/bus station! Pay with card without fee too!!
I stayed at Thapae my first couple days in Chiang Mai, it was really nice coming to such a cozy and quiet place after my 20hr travel day. The staff were sweet and very quiet. The rooms were very clean and quiet. One staff member was always cleaning either the bathroom or mopping our room everyday. The facilities were all great. Definitely not a social hostel at all. If you’re needing a place to recharge it’s great. Also good location for walking around to explore.

Un personnel hyper agréable, des chambres et douches propres, un super emplacement! L’auberge est très calme.

Hostel très bien pour une ambiance tranquille, pas dutout festif ou ambiance de groupe. Lits confortables, tout est très propre et pas trop loin du centre ~20 min à pieds.

very clean, beds were amazing!! you have ur own little box so privacy!!!! not social but clean
wasn't a bad stay, but you had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to your room so when you're checking in and out it can be pretty exhausting. The room itself was fine but I was in the top bunk which shared a lader with the bed next to it and made it quite tricky to walk down it. There wasn't much staff around to support too but we're very accommodating for me when I had food poisoning and let me check out a little later.

Very nice location in the city, bed is very comfortable and intimate. The rooms are small though and we are walking around everyone’s stuff as the lockers are small (my 60L backpack fitted in but i could lock the door properly). Easy check in even at night. No hot water in the shower, i was disappointed by that. Overall good experience but i wouldn’t stay many days there.
