I had been there before, but was shocked at the lack of hygiene this time. No soap in the three nearest toilets. Plus, the male employee kept picking his nose - finger thoroughly inside- in the reception area when I arrived. Didn't even care that I was there. The same guy made a whole deal out of things when I went to a bed in another -empty- room late at night because there guy in my room was such with a fever. No understanding there, just wanted to show me the rule book. Extremely amateurish.
Mooi hostel met fijn zwembad. Er was een ventilator aan het plafond in de dorm maar zelfs met ramen open was het nog erg warm. Veel lawaai van verkeer in de straat omdat de ramen dus open staan. De dorm was erg stoffig en mijn bed lag vol met spullen van iemand anders maar ze zeiden dat het schoon was. Ik heb zelf maar mijn plankje afgestoft. Ontbijt was prima, genoeg zitplekken, warme douche en filter water. Met uber is het centrum makkelijk te bereiken.
Nice hostel with nice pool. There was a fan on the ceiling in the dorm but even with windows open it was still very warm. A lot of traffic noise in the street because the windows were so open. The dorm was very dusty and my bed was full of someone else's stuff but they said it was clean. I stocked my plank myself. Breakfast was great, enough seats, hot shower and filter water. Met uber is easy to reach the center.
Location is good but the route on foot from the metro or Santa Tereza seems sketchy especially at night. Very clean, nice pool, cute rooftop area, breakfast ok for the price. Only negative aspect was that I stayed there during days of EXTREME heat, and inside the dorm room felt like a stove, even with the fan on max. velocity.

Excelente hostel! Limpo, organizado, bem estruturado, com funcionários agradáveis, piscina legal, decoração interessante e um café da manha simples mas que não deixa a desejar!
The hostel was perfect, clean and the stuff was really helpful. Especially, the kitchen had all necessary equipment and it was clean.

I don’t know why the rating on the site is so low! I loved this hostel - it’s clean, has great common areas and good breakfast. The pool is great to relax in, the staff are really kind and friendly. It is a bit far out of the centre but if you don’t mind travelling in then it is perfect. Would definitely return!
