+ The location and the bathroom were clean
- The bed was not at all comfortable, and the room were really small... did not look like the picture at all, there was a certain smell to the room
+ Sommige leden van de zaak waren uiterst vriendelijk. Één personeelslid echter uiterst beledigend. Zo was een gast die samen met mij gedurende 6 dagen de kamer deelde en in die tijdspanne met zijn kleren aan sliep en bij mijn weten (en ik was er de ganse tijd) niet gedoucht noch zich gewassen heeft de dag van zijn vertrek geklaagd had dat de kamer zéér onordelijk was en stonk. Ik kreeg daarvoor de reprimande en verwittiging dat ze me zouden sanctioneren indien ik geen deo zou gebruiken en geen imaginaire kruimels meer zou rondstrooien. Ze waren daar (die paar kruimels) maar rond zijn bed. De dag van zijn check out heeft hij trouwens tijdens zijn "vroege" ontbijt de keuken in brand gestoken wat algemeen alarm.betekende en ik, net als andere gasten opgeschrikt werden en in allereil de houten trap 2 en zelfs 3 verdiepingen in pyjama af renden.... Nu moet u weten, ik douchte elke dag daar ter plaatse en ook nog eens 3 keer in de week in sint lucas kliniek na mijn hartrevalidatie fitness training. Des te meer deed het pijn dat een jong meisje mij dreigde ( 66 jaar) na onterechte laster zonder te onderzoeken wat écht was . Het ontbijt was basic maar zeker ok. Ik wou mijn avondmaaltijd koken , want dat kan ook daar ,wat ik zeer positief vind, maar het was uit de koelkast verdwenen 😡. Iedereen kan zijn potje koken en Stokeren in de koelkast. Folie is niet beschikbaar maar wel dan toch klevertjes voor naam en datum. Het ontbijt wordt gepresenteerd zonder enige vorm van koeling of afdekking en is zeker niet conform met de regels van HACCP. Zo wou ik geen boterham met gekookte ham waarop 2 dikke vliegen hun behoeften deden en ik niet wist of ik al dan niet eitjes zou eten 🪰.

+ Renovation
- Be friend with mosquito throughout your stay. Especially at night. You Must stay as active as they do. And reception can't do much.
- Location is a bit far from the city centre. Rooms and facilities are too basic. You can barely turn around in the shower cubicle. Walls are very thin. Has the atmosphere of a prison. You're handed your own bed linen and asked to make the bed yourself and return the bed linen along with a padlock and key. You'll hear keys jangling all night long as every door including the bathrooms all require keys - this is very loud. No shampoo, soap or towels provided. The rooms are extremely basic and quite dirty. Bathrooms smell bad. The bed was very uncomfortable. Rules are written everywhere passively informing you of penalties and consequences. I've stayed in many hostels but this had an unbearable atmosphere of discomfort.

+ Buen desayuno, lindas instalaciones comunes
- Me sentí incómoda en mi estadía. No recomiendo para jóvenes, menos mujeres. Todos hombres adultos en la habitación, cuando pedí un cambio o una solución no me la dieron. No hay nadie en la recepción de noche y si tenes un problema después de su cierre no te ayudan.

Highly recommend KaBa hostel,very clean and quiet enough for a good night sleep. Good breakfast for a good price too
Really nice property, extremely friendly and helpful staff, they allowed me to store my luggage at their reception before check in and after check out hours. I travelled solo and booked the female only dorm room, and I felt safe. The 5 euro unlimited breakfast was worth it, the kitchen is also very well equipped with utensils, crockery, cutlery and basic cooking essentials, making it easy for one to cook their own food. It is only a 10 min walk to the tourist attractions and closer to Ghent Damp...
the hostel was great! it was very clean, the staff was nice and the location is good aswell. Its close enough to the train station yet also very close to the city centre!
Ottima esperienza a Gent! Ostello sicuro, pulito e in una posizione comodissima per visitare la città, ma allo stesso tempo in una zona tranquilla e silenziosa, perfetta per riposare bene. Atmosfera accogliente e staff gentile. Un valore aggiunto speciale è Max, il gatto dell’ostello, che ogni tanto passa a cercare coccole e strappa sempre un sorriso. Se torno a Gent, tornerei sicuramente qui!
Good property but quite compact. Room layout can encourage socialising if you get put in a good room. But there is no real shared space. The kitchen has a small eating area but it seems to be mostly populated by people working or people not interested in socialising - not necessarily the hostel's fault as physical space is limited. Beds were the standard simple metal frame (not secured to wall type), shower/toilet layout was OK.
Schönes Hostel mit allem was man braucht in gute Lage zum Stadtzentrum. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen. Gerne wieder!

Es un hostel tranquilo, trasmite paz, estaba ordenado, con habitación espaciosas, limpio y fácil de llegar! Se puede recorrer la parte histórica caminado desde el hostel a todos lados!

+ L'endroit est tranquille est spacieux. Cuisine tout équipée pour cuisiner ces repas. Petit déjeuner au top. Auberge très propre. Personnel adorable À une quinzaine de minutes du centre ville.
- Des petits casiers (juste pour les affaires importantes) dans les chambres où il faut son cadenas.
