CroParadise Green Hostel

The room was smelly and the beds were horrible for our back - the mattresses probably need to be replaced. It was overpriced for what it was, should not be $100+ per night to have bad back pain in your 20s.

Some of the worst service we’ve ever had from a hostel. Our bus was late into the city and we had no signal to call so called when we arrived. We were told “DO NOT PHONE THIS NUMBER, we are closed no check in” I totally get there are check in policies but the hostel staff left us on the street with no where to stay and we’re so rude about it. We ended up sleeping in a park and woke up to an email from them saying they were charging us for the room. Hands down worst hostel experience.

They charged me 14 euros for late checkout because my flight got delayed

This hostel disappointed us and would not recommend booking here. The cleanliness was very poor especially in the kitchen area and could feel the grime on all the utensils. We stayed in a separate area to the main hostel building which meant it wasn’t social at all. The room was tiny with no privacy and minimal facilities. The bathroom was unhygienic and there was also a crying baby in the next room. For a similar price I would recommend any other hostel in the area. Location was good

The staff is very friendly, yet the facilities and cleanliness are not good. The bathroom was tiny to the level that you can’t even sit on the toilet without your knees touching the opposing wall. The hostel wasn’t cleaned regularly and even the bedsheets were stained and dirty.

Wir sind zwei Frauen (19), waren im Mai 2025 für drei Nächte im gemischten Schlafsaal. Während unserm Aufenthalt haben wir uns durchaus sicher gefühlt, jedoch mangelte es im gesamten Hostel deutlich an Sauberkeit ( Küche war sehr schmutzig, eines der beiden Bäder war für uns nicht benutzbar, auch das zweite Bad siffig. Not an ounce of privacy in this tiny dorm with only single beds very close to eachother. The AC was noisy and made the room extremely dry. I almost got sick after one night. The bathroom was messy and dirty.

The location is good, but it's not soundproof at all. I used a solitary cell, and even with earplugs, I could hear the group of men talking loudly until dawn

Friendly staff, clean and nice facilities and perfectly situated for the old town.

Alles ist sauber und Lage ist Top, aber als ich dort war waren kaum andere Gäste da und es gab keine Möglichkeit zu socialisen. Als Solo traveller ist das leider doof

Shower water was nice & hot but would run cold while showering. Was a lovely stay & would stay again.

Estuve dos noches y muy bien. Lo único malo es que la ubicación es ruidosa porque pasan bastantes coches desde temprano.Y en mi baño privado había muy mal olor a tubería.

Great private room, close to train and bus. Clean and cheap

The biggest negative was that the men's washroom was way too small and shared among 10-12 people, but it varies as they have many buildings. Location was near to old city. which is good. Reception was in another building, 5 mins away but they were friendly.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The staff were friendly, the location was good and I would say good value for money. However, I found cleanliness to be an issue as after I woke up I found 7 bite marks on my legs. That was the only let down of this place which is unfortunate because it was pretty good.

No me gusto para nada el hotel. Me quede en una pieza lejas del hostel general. Sin mayores informaciones de que poder hacer. Hice un par de preguntas que no me ayudaron a responder y realmente tenia cero ambiente el hostal. No es lo que se muestra en la reseña.

Kleines Hostel in Zentrumsnähe und fußläufig zum Hafen/Bahnhof. Das Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet mit Klimaanlage, die Küche bisher eine der saubersten die ich in einem Hostel erleben durfte. Der Balkon ist auch sehr angenehm und groß, nur zeitweilig nicht immer genug Leute da zum socializen. Eher was für Leute die was ruhiges suchen.

Bonne auberge, bien située, bon accueil. Cuisine fonctionnelle. Seul bémol : douche et wc minuscules

Its a really nice set up of hostel near the port. I liked the staff because they were helpful and nice. The TV with the films felt like a proper luxury. It started out clean but communal areas didn't stay that way because its a bit of a party town, which cant be helped. The water from the shower did come out the floor drain before it drained so that was The interent that's quite frequently highlighted in the ad is as fast as stated but massively overloaded so drops out near constantly.

Loved it felt super welcome right away

Schönes Hostel mit einer tollen Lage. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Wasserkocher in der Küche könnte langsam ersetzt werden.

Here’s the great and not so great. It was a great location. AC great.I encountered 2 different staff members who could not have been kinder or more helpful. I couldn’t get the TV to work. It was a little noisy when people were passing by the window next to the bed. I closed the window which helped a bit. The smell of cleaner was SO overpowering it was difficult to ignore it. I had high hopes for this hostel, but was left a little disappointed. The room size and location were great. One of the beds was so squeaky though it was almost impossible to sleep. There was basically no hot water for the shower too. The room we were in was by a main path so it was very loud with people walking by at all hours of the night. I know they can’t help that, but it’s worth mentioning. The staff were very nice though and helpful at check-in.

The stay was lovely very close to the city center and the staff was very kind. The receptionist Dominik was very helpful during and even after the stay. Highly recommend it !

the price is such a steal for where it’s located. 5 minute walk from the promenade. staff were lovely and helpful!! beds were comfy and lockers were provided, nice kitchen area with lots of cutlery and stuff for cooking. lovely balcony too. two bathrooms, one was really nice however the shower would sometimes run cold and that is the only fault. easily fixed by just turning it off and back on again :)

Ich war noch nie in einem Hostel dieser Art, es hat sich weniger wie ein Hostel angefühlt sondern mehr wie eine Wg. Die Lage ist mega, es gibt keine stockbetten, eine gute Küche und einen tollen Balkon. Allerdings gibts nur ein Bad für das jeweilige Geschlecht was zu einem Engpass führen kann. Die Leute waren auch alle nett, wir haben uns nur bei einem älteren Mann in der Wohnung (nicht in unserem Zimmer) etwas unwohl gefühlt da wir zwei Mädchen sind die alleine reisen
