There were stains on the bed, the bathroom looked ancient and was dirty, the vibe and the people were off, the kitchen only had dirty pans and it was 34 dollars which is pretty expensive. I found beautiful places for only 17 with an actual clean place... Very disappointed
When I entered my private room, someone was already occupying the room. Staff at the desk were kind/apologetic and upgraded me to a double room. This new room was also occupied but staff said it should have been vacant. It seemed as though people were staying in rooms unbeknownst to staff. I was then offered a choice from one of their long stay single rooms, however these rooms smelt of cigarettes, were unclean and they could not provide me with fresh linen. Felt like an unsafe halfway house.
die Kücher war schlecht ausgestattet, wenig Geschir und nicht sauber. Das Alkoholverbot wurde nicht durchgesetzt.Die Bäder müssten renoviert werden oder überhaupt mal sauber gemacht werden.
The kitchen was poorly equipped, little dishes and not clean.The alcohol ban was not enforced.The bathrooms had to be renovated or even cleaned.
We had to sleep here for a night and it was a really bad experience. The place was dirty, it smelled bad from the beggining, the elevator has carpeted walls that also smelled strongly. The room they gave us looked really different from what it is offered in the website. The place is just creepy. But Marie, the girl in the front desk, was great and she helped us a lot. Nonetheless, I wouldn´t spend a night again there. Hopefuly.
Do not sleep here. Having stayed in hostels across the country, this was by far the worst. My room was filthy beyond words, blood on pillows and mattresses that went straight through to the metal support below. There was dirty laundry left in the bathroom and urine stains that made the toilet seat sticky. Bins were not changed, with used sanitary products lying on the bathroom floor. For some perspective, it was so dirty in there I didn’t even take my socks and shoes off. Please go elsewhere
Bien situé à côté du bus, la sécurité est correcte. Mais l’établissement est vieux et mal entretenu : chambre sale (cheveux et poils sur les draps), fenêtre cassée, salle de bain vétuste, murs défraîchis et baignoire rouillée. Le salon ne correspond pas aux photos. Décevant malgré l’emplacement pratique.
The hotel is located right next to the bus, the security is correct. but the establishment is old and poorly maintained: sale room (hair and hairs on the sheets), broken window, worn-out bathroom, frosted walls and rusty bathtub. the living room does not match the photos. disappointing despite the convenient location.

As soon as I walked in the room I was filled with regret, the carpet was stained severely and there were stains all over the walls. I went to the bathroom to take a shower and the shower head was faulty so it comes out as a hose and the temperature fluctuates significantly. The bath mat was once white but is now brown and the hand soap dispenser was broken. However the worst was when I went to bed and found mould spots on the pillows and in the duvet. Will never return here.
Cuisine très sale, sol qui colle, lit qui grince, je déconseille fortement Ambiance dans les partie communes spéciales.. des personnes pas très nettes qui dorment dans la « « salle de cinéma » » Pratique pour être à proximité du ferry mais c’est tout
Very dirty kitchen, sun that sticks, bed that grins, I strongly advise against Ambience in the special communal part.. not very clean people who sleep in the cinema Convenient to be near the ferry but that's all
This hostel was the worst I have ever seen. The bathroom was falling apart with mysterious liquid on the floor. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned or even looked at before our arrival. The bedding was dirty and old. We didn’t end up staying.

Waterloo has so much to offer, but the road traffic noise is terrible, all night, for light sleeper like me. Also the street lighting is so bright through unlined curtains. I could not sleep! I'd have to rethink staying there again.
Location is very close to bus station and ferry which makes it convenient but the hostel itself is quite scary as a single female traveller. I stayed in a dorm where there were several old men who seemed to be from the street and I felt overall unsafe. It was not clean. My experience may have been different if I was not a young girl but I would not recommend.
This was a great place to stay to be close to Bluebridge ferry in the morning. Literally across the road. We had a private double with ensuite. Perfect. Older style but nothing wrong with it at all. Bathroom was very clean. We used the kitchen and ate in the dining room which is huge. Great spot if you want to be in town. No good if you need parking.

It was really okay for the price but we were stuck in the elevator and the emergency button didn't work and when we went to reception for that instance the guy told us that it happens often and nobody ever got compensation🥲 when we ask for compensation we got a little so that was good. It's a decent stay for a short time but I wouldn't use the elevator

Pretty bad experience, they immediately screw up my room assignment and send the two of us to a room with only one bed. Then the bed is terribly thin, there's blood on the ceiling ? And the worst part were the showers. It is unbelievably hot, literally you could get a second or third degree burn from this. Dangerous, no sign or warning from front desk. And no other temperature option besides scalding hot. You all will catch a case soon enough. Disappointing, do better!

Good location, friendly staff. The kitchen is really good and clean. The hotel is old and not renovated for a longer time. Our shower in the room wasn’t working. Even the shared bathroom on the floor didn’t have a completely functional shower - the water was either freezing cold or boiling hot. The whole place has a creepy atmosphere and not sociable.
Had to wait for staff for 20min at the reception to check in, window in my room had a massive crack, shower was rusty, sheets had stains, strange men in the hostel

Very weird people staying there, but its's cheap and in a good location. Large common room and kitchen, but the kitchen doesn't have much cutlery.
En entrant dans ma chambre sur suit tombé sur une personne entrain de ce droguer, la chambre était très salle en particulier la salle de bain. Je me suis pas senti en sécurité. Heureusement la réceptionniste, ma donné une autre chambre. La chambre étais propre et j'étais seul, mais les fenêtres étais cassé et scotché, et avec le vent ont claqué toute la nuit... l'hotel est globalement vieux et en mauvaise état. Je ne le recommande pas
When I came into my room in a suit I came across a person who was on drugs, the room was very spacious especially the bathroom. I didn't feel safe. Fortunately the receptionist gave me another room. The room was clean and I was alone, but the windows were broken and stuck, and with the wind slammed all night... the hotel is overall old and in poor condition. I don't recommend it
Die Fotos in der Anzeige sahen super aus. Was wir vorfanden war überwiegend desolat. Wir haben nicht viel schönes gefunden. Die Eingangshalle hatte vielleicht etwas Charme. Von außen denkt man, ready for takedown. Das Haus hat so viel Geschichte. Schade.

Yeah definitely listen to the other reviews I don’t actually know why I booked this place. The pictures make it look so much nicer than it is. Everything here is stained and dirty. Gives haunted hotel vibes, just super creepy and gross. Honestly struggling to say anything nice about this place other than the fact it was nice to have a room to myself for once but honestly wished I had just booked a shared room elsewhere for cheaper.
The building is very old and dated, and the sheets and towels were yellowed and stained. The bed springs were broken, making it very soft and spongy, and the microwave in the room didn’t work. The receptionist on arrival wasn’t particularly welcoming. That said, you do get what you pay for. It’s a hostel and we didn’t have high expectations. We did appreciate having a kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, towels and flannels provided. The location is excellent.
