There is mold in the bathroom! It is definitely health & safety concern that needs to be investigated and fixed. It made our clothes smell terrible and we could barely use the bathroom because of it. The owner is friendly and the other amenities were sufficient, I hope he gets the bathroom renovated so that guests can enjoy their stay.
It's an old apartment which was split into 3 hostel rooms. Overall everything seems like it stayed as it was in the beginning of the 70s. There is a shared kitchen, which was absolutely filthy, and a shared bathroom with one toilet and one shower, which was filthy as well. Beware of mosquitoes! I was eaten alive in the room. On the positive side: the location is fantastic as it's really close to the central station and all the attractions and the room was quite big.
I have no major complaints about the property, however I would like to share my experience so people planning to book here are aware of the full situation. My friend and I came to Venice for a few days for the carnival. When we arrived, we had to call to get in but none of us had cell service since we were traveling from abroad. Das Hostel hat grundsätzlich eine gute Lage und auch das Zimmer war sauber und voll in Ordnung. Leider war das geteilte Badezimmer, sowie die Küche wirklich nicht sauber (Haare, alte dreckige Lappen). Während wir in dem Hostel waren, wurde nicht ein einziges Mal das Bad geputzt, auch nicht, als ein Zimmer abgereist ist. Das „inkludierte“ Frühstück besteht aus Kaffe, Tee, Keksen und abgepackter Marmelade sowie Nutella. Nach kritischem Nachfragen, haben wir ein Toastbrot bekommen…

VivaVenezia was a super cool and very authentic place to live in Venice. There is 3 rooms, 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen. The host was super nice and even though he would prefer cash, it is possible to pay by card. The breakfast is basically not existing as the only thing to eat was plastic-wrapped cake. The aircondition in the room makes it impossible to close the windows. Also I have gotten a lot of insect bites after sleeping in room 3.
A Decent Stay very near to the San Mario Station. You have to cross one big and one small bridge to reach the place. One person managing the entire show and will only come once to see you, rest you are all your own.
The place is really old, very clean but bed was uncomfortable.

Il y a possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner : thé, lait sont prévus. Pour le reste, il vaut mieux que vous le prévoyez car il y a seulement petits sachets de biscuits et petites portions de confiture. Accueil loin d'être chaleureux + terminal pour paiement en carte bleue qui ne fonctionnait pas : Paiement en liquide. Pas vraiment d'effort au niveau conviv...
The room is large, the bed is comfortable. The laundry, the bathroom and the kitchen are clean. There is a possibility to have a breakfast: tea, milk are provided. For the rest, it is better that you plan it because there are only small bags of biscuits and small portions of jam. Welcome far from being warm + terminal for payment by carte bleue that did not work really: Payment in cash. No effort at the level of conviviality.

Amazing stay! The room was big, the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect and check-in was very easy. We never had an issue with the shared bathroom. Would recommend to others!

Great venue! My suggestion for brits is to pay accom in cash as the card machine wasn't working! Comfiest hostel bed I'vr ever stayed in

Un lujo todo. SÚPER limpio, buena ubicación. El anfitrión fue muy amable y flexible. La cama muy cómoda. El baño impecable. El desayuno es muy muy básico. Recomiendo 100% este alojamiento.
A luxury all in one. SUPER clean, good location. The host was very friendly and flexible. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was impeccable. The breakfast was very basic. I recommend this accommodation 100%.
Lovely little place, the room was spacious and comfortable. The shared bathroom was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to make a nice meal. The host was kind and the location was great too.
Really enjoyed my stay at VivaVenezia! Super easy location, walking distance from the main bus terminal and near to a Vaporetti stop. The room was spacious and comfortable with lovely Venetian furniture and I pretty much had the apartment to myself. Only slight downside a bit of noise from the nearby bar, but it didn’t go on late. Carnival was a wonderful time to visit. Gracie molto per un sorggiono meraviglioso!

The only reason it’s not 5 stars across the board is because it is up a very steep, very Venetian set of stairs. Other than that, it’s a great old building with lots of Venetian character. It’s a great location near the train station, water taxi, and Alilaguna lines and the staff could not be more friendly and welcoming. Absolutely recommend!
Excelente ubicación y muy cómoda la habitación. En mi estadía estaba incluído el desayuno, que era rico pero no había variedad, solo unas galletitas, mermelada o nutella para untar y cafe
My stay included breakfast, which was rich but there was no variety, just a few biscuits, jam or nutella for butter and coffee
This property was great, perfect location only a 6 minute walk from san stae water taxi stop & around a 10 minute walk from rialto, we really enjoyed our stay the host was lovely and so accomodating. The room was basic but perfect for our needs, This is not like most hostels, there are only 3 bedrooms and is more like a shared apartment so great if you’d like a bit more privacy. Overall our stay was great and we would return☺️
This place was perfect! Our host was very accommodating and gave great recommendations. The room was secure and quiet, the kitchen was a nice bonus for coffee in the morning and the shared bathroom was not as much an issue as we thought. Location was amazing, not too crowded part of the city but a very central location and close to the train. Thank you for having us :)
Franco was extremely hospitable and funny. We had a lovely time staying at his place. A home away from home. Highly recommend.
Clean, easy to locate, host is nice and pretty close/within walking distance tk everything. Towels are provided and my room had aircon which was nice. Pizza place just outside. I would definitely recommend this place to others

Good Cheap Centrally Located. Just little difficult to find but overall considering the price in center it's one of cheapest stay
La ubicación es perfecta está en centro de Venecia, muy cerca de todo, la habitación estaba super limpia al igual que los baños y tienen todos los artículos que necesites para tu estancia, lo único que no me gustó fue que nos dieron una habitación con cama king que en realidad eran dos colchones unidos y y se separaban a la mitad, lo cual para parejas es medio incómodo porque no podíamos dormir en el medio, aparte de eso todo perfecto, quizá el colchón de las otras camas era normal
The location is perfect it is in the center of Venice, very close to everything, the room was super clean like the bathrooms and they have all the items you need for your estancia, the only thing I didn't like was that they gave us a room with a king bed which was actually two mattresses joined and separated in half, which for couples is kind of uncomfortable because we couldn't sleep in the middle, apart from everything that was perfect, maybe the mattress in the other beds was normal
Magnifico!!! Grazie molto. I took my grandchild for their first experience of Venice. This 300 year old property was a delightful part of the experience and the host, Mr Franco, extremely kind and considerate. An absolute "must" for the more adventurous traveller
