APPALLING ESTABLISHMENT! Dirty, Decrepit and Dingy. Full of long term guests who either work in the area or on Long Street itself. No vibe whatsoever. Music on until 2am! Bed bugs everywhere. When you walk on the floors it sounds like there’s an incoming earthquake. I landed up leaving around midnight. TRULY THE MOST DISGUSTING HOSTEL I have ever been too! Clean up your act Urban Hive!

We booked a private bedroom with a dirty shared bathroom (hairs, dirty cloths, stains) Sheets were teared apart with dried blood on it. Hostel is very noisy (which you could expect on this street ofcourse) but especially the doors are squeeky and jam all night because of the wind inside the hallway. Wouldn’t recommend this hostel if you’re looking for a quiet/clean place to sleep.

Nice spot to spend some nights in the city center Active street and easy to access everywhere within Cape Town and they got live music some group activities on some days but the place so noisy at night

its okay for short stay cheap and not much luxury

A fantastic hostel located right in the heart of Cape Town. Very convenient to everything and so much value for your money. Highly recommend.

This is a clean, comfortable and well presented hostel. The rooms are nice, and the decor is pleasant and all seems pretty good quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient as a base to get to other places - but I didn’t feel too safe walking around alone, and going out myself from the evening time onwards was definitely not advisable. My room was near a lot of nightlife, so was pretty noisy. But I was expecting this, given long street’s party reputation.

1. Awesome building (a wooden staircase straight out of or from a Virginia Woolf novel, ahh!). 2. Awesome location. 3. Super Awesome kind and friendly Staff. Wishing the Team an Awesome Summer MMXXIV / MMXXV!
