Mid hostel with people that don’t understand dorm rules
Stinky of weed and drain. Creepy crawlies in the room. Spider webs in the room and a holes in the wall. We left the hostel the day we checked in because we have never seen such a terrible and dirty hostel (and we’ve backpacked a lot, also in party hostels before). The staff was rude and we didn’t get the money back, so ended up paying double for our stay in Ao Nang. Nevertheless it was worth it, as we would not have felt welcome and comfortable in the sleeper hostel!
We slept in a double room similar to a bunker, although for the price paid we did not expect more; however in cleanliness they have much to improve. we realized that we had a huge light box camouflaged in the room. the bathroom lacked cleanliness with webbing on all sides and open to the mountain in the area of the toilets, there was only a fence.
Washroom stinks. Upper bunk gets no airflow, hot and sweaty. Shower water pressure sucks Luggage lockers located under the bed of the bottom bunk, unfortunately the luggage can be accessed from the other side next to the wall by the person in the lower bunk. Air conditioning off during the day. Unfortunately, if you just flew in and need to crash due to jet lag, you're screwed. Don't get the top bunk. If you're a couple, get a private room nearby for the price as 2 bunks at Sleeper.
The staff is really nice, but the place is so dirty and the Air con wasn't working (is supposed to be automatic hours with the ac and other with fan, but I didn't see the ac working at any time) was in a place that the wind from the fan didn't arrive, so I slept in the hot, was an awful night, don't recommend.
There is a big sanitary issue in the bathrooms. The bathroom closest to my room had the water from the sink run to a shower. And all the water from there then went to a second shower... before it finally disappeared in the wall. So if you're taking a shower and someone comes to brush their teeth in the same bathroom, you WILL stand in their spit and toothpaste.
The hostel is sold, I had a bed with a very hard pillow and especially one that smelled of mold, my sheets were stained and there was a pre-chewed candy on the shelf next to the bed... The reception was not helpful, not knowing how to get to this or that island in a region that lives mainly from that, it was just the Flemish vis-à-vis the travelers.
If you want to be left homeless then book this hostel. I arrived at 6pm and left my bags but returned at 9pm to check in to which they said they had over booked leaving me homeless. The receptionist didn’t really care and took no responsibility to the problem. My deposit still hasn’t been turned despite asking numerous times. The reception refused to help find alternative accommodation. And most hostels within walking distance were fully booked. And had the cheek to ask me to cancel the book...
Staff barely spoke English, 6 flights of steep stairs to room, dirty, smelly showers and toilets with dead bugs, rubbish etc on the floors. In bed there was a swarm of insects crawling on the side table and the wall next to me, I mean hundreds of them. Did not stay there, packed my stuff and slept elsewhere it felt so dirty!
The security does not exist, since you can grab whatever you want from the "lockers" when the lockers are locked. Ao Nang is very touristic and has nothing to offer to the visitor except from high prices. The majority of the staff cannot speak English Half of the toilets and showers dont work, I had to go from 3rd to the first just to take a shower. The worst of all is that I booked a tranport from Ao Nang to Khao Sok that supposed to last 2 - 2,5 hours. I arrived in my destination a...

Very nice staff! The AC is pretty cold in the rooms but you get a thick blanket :) the 4 bedroom dorm is as Fairly big. The bathroom was clean and the money security system is quite interesting. I'd definitely book this hostel again !!
The 14th room was pretty big and with a balcony. on the balcony it is always totally hot because there is a device (I believe from the air conditioning) blowing out hot air. if you have towels and hang them like that they dry very quickly, I found that very cool!! the bathrooms are also good. with the sink maybe there is still a missing ablage or hook to hang the culture bags.
Good morning, good location and kind staff! however the bathroom was very dirty throughout the entire stay
The room felt clean but bathrooms smelt bad and our room and lobby smelt so bad of sewage on our last two nights we were gagging when we would return to the room. Hostel was not social at all.
I was in the ladies room and had the bed all the way up in the back. the leader right next to the air conditioning (which automatically turns on and off) and with only a small curtain that was barely covered. but the other beds looked so far better equipped from
Good location, friendly staff. There was no water coming from the shower head, or the taps this morning. My curtain didn’t shut properly because of the air on vent. Staircase is slightly dangerous too with how small the stairs are
The hostel is well located, just a 500m walk from the beach. The only downside is the requirement to leave a deposit of 2,000 Baht before your stay, which I believe is not justified given that there's only one card. Otherwise, everything was fine, generally clean.
Not too bad located but beds are really hard, aircon is shut down during the day, you have the light of other beds, no shoes inside but the floor is dirty and employees are not specially nice. There was no mood there, but I changed place after one night bc of back pain so I don’t really know
Really good aircon.
PROS: Decent rooms with nice storage. CONS: The pillows need changing they are ALL MOULDY are making people ILL I felt sick and realised that's why. The sinkholes and showers need a deep clean. sometimes the hot water or pressure just doesn't work. I feel like this place used to have alot of love put into it but it has definitely lost that somewhere. it's a shame because it could be a great little spot. if you're staying please check your pillows or bring your own
The hostel is very well located, by the beach and restaurants. It is worth the price, and has a calma atmosphere. They could, however, try to find a solution so other people's private lights wouldn't affect us.
Staff was sweet, bed were comfy, ac worked too well it was so cold in the room, only thing were tiny ants everywhere but decent stay
Incredible view. Nice dorms. Just not the vibe I personally was looking for. It's young and party vibe
Good stay, bit dirty bathrooms but otherwise clean.
A really solid hostel overall. It’s not particularly social, but its location makes up for it—just a short walk into town and right near several more social hostels (including K Bunk across the road), so it’s easy to join events and meet people if you want. The beds are very comfortable, and the lockers are excellent and secure. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.
Nice enough quiet hostel. It definitely is not social at all. The sinks are outside and there are warning signs for fierce monkeys, it could be fenced off.
best hostel we had so far!
Great location and a good price. Staff were also lovely. I just didn’t like that there was no bathroom on my floor, just stall in the hallway which was a bit random. Place also was very damp and mouldy. I would say it’s a good short stay. I met some lovely girls in my room. Very chill hostel and can be social if you chat to people. There’s no hangout space though. Probably wouldn’t stay again but it was fine.
Very clean, bed was comfy. Not the most secure as room didn’t lock but didn’t really matter as outside of hostel needed key card. Lockers underneath bed is great. Not a social hostel but doesn’t really matter in Ao Nang as so much else going on
Okay for sleeping and truthfully I slept great here as it has 0 party vibes :D at the end of the day the room floor was full of sand which then ends up in your bed too, otherwise seemed clean. No space for socialising, no hair dryer, no drinking water (only bottled water that you can buy). Good number of toilets/showers! The location is okay for the beach but a bit far from night markets. Landry service was great! Overall an okay place for a few nights.
