Bodhi Hostel & Lounge

Erg teleurgesteld door dit hostel. Vooral de hygiëne viel ontzettend tegen. Kapotte kussens, vlekken op de lakens en overal een nare geur. We wilden eigenlijk hier geen nacht slapen, maar omdat we niets anders konden vinden toch 1 nacht gebleven. Dit aangegeven bij het hostel, geen excuses gekregen.

The bed was like an earthquake and it seemed just commercialized, like trying to sell yoga and meditation. There was a security camera tv shining right on the bed, like it was fine and the guy who checked me in was really nice, but overall it was pretty meh and I wouldn’t go back. La Casa de Juan has a much better vibe, rustic and chill and the people are amazing.

Stayed here for 3 nights. One night in the dorm and 2 nights in a private room. Air conditioning was very cold in the dorm making if very hard to sleep as they don’t give you blankets just a sheet. The private rooms do not have air conditioning. Just a really loud fan. So beware if you are looking to get a private room. Also a building across the street had some kind of alarm going off for the 2 nights I was in the private room that made it impossible to sleep.

Staff were helpful and the hostel had areas to lounge around which created a relaxing atmosphere. Although very clean, the bed wasn’t the most comfy. Bathroom was spacious but could’ve been a bit cleaner. Overall would recommend.

Hostel has a confident location, and decent included breakfast. I really liked the yoga section with nice flooring and decent yoga mats and room to stretch. The bed only has a sheet but they do provide a towel. The berths are 3 high which is not my favorite.

Very popular hostel in valle, although I’m not sure why. There is nothing special about this place, there are THREE STORY high bunks which is crazy hard to climb- no storage space when you are on the top/middle bunks. There is a security camera in the dorm watching everyone, which I just found creepy. The outdoor area at the back is nice, the staff are lovely, free breakfast is nice. Showers and bathroom area was pretty trash tho

The hostel was nice and had a good vibe. They organised hikes and provided a good free breakfast. The 3 tiered bunk beds were not nice. The outside space was nice, however the hostel dogs smelt so bad. The whole hostel ended up smelling like wet dog and the dogs would sit on the sofas meaning the smell would get onto your clothes. Felt really unclean.

The hostel itself was nice, also the garden. What is a no go for me: there were cameras inside the dorm so there was no place for changing clithes without being on the cam! even in the upper bed! the staff was not really friendly to us, maybe cause we only spoke english. they were also not helpful when we asked about hikes. all in all we had a nice stay and met nice people there

Lovely hostel, well located, with friendly staff. Very clean throughout and a well-equipped kitchen. Could do with a pool and maybe getting rid of the 3 tier bunk beds

Opzich een prima hostel. Lekker ontbijt erbij en veel plekken om te chillen. Alleen overal hangen beveiligingscamera’s. Zo ook meerdere in de slaapzalen. Echt een enorm minpunt!! Voelt eerder onveilig en niet prettig dat je niet eens even snel om kan kleden maar dit op de wc moet doen. Douche hangt namelijk ook alleen een gordijntje voor.

Nice hostel in the centrum!! Mostly backpackers and friendly people there!

Great place to stay. The location is perfect on the main road and walking distance from anywhere. The back garden also is just perfect to relax. We had a lovely stay here.

The hostel is very social and all staff were extremely friendly. The free breakfast was eggs with toast and fresh fruit and made freshly once you went to the kitchen. Even though I was in a 15 person dorm it was surprisingly quiet. The AC was a little cold for me on the top bunk but they gave me an extra cozy blanket and with that I was fine. The beds are not the most comfortable to climb in (metal and 3 bunks) but if you plan wisely you just have to do it once and that was fine.

I spent several days at the Cabanas, and I can totally recommend this place. It is nice and clean. You have a good kitchen, and Luis, the owner of the house (he lives in the 1st floor) is very helpful and nice. On the map, it may look a bit far away from the center, but this is not the case. After leaving the road the house is on, there are already places and bars left and right. In a few minutes' walk, you're in the center of the city, so it's, I would say, maybe 12 minutes' walk to get to the

Very beautiful hostel. The beds are comfortable and cozy. I had a bottom bunk and really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly. I was lucky to have Jakob, who works there, to guide me through a hike on India Dormida. He was amazing, with lots of explanations and knowledge about the history of Panama and the region! I highly recommend him! The atmosphere is super calm, almost too much :P. The Wi-Fi was good, and the breakfasts are also very good! The location is perfect.

Zu empfehlen. Ganz angenehme Atmosphäre, perfekt im Dorf gelegen und gut ausgewogenes Hostel. Ablagen in den die Betten im Dorm wären noch gut gewesen. Sonst wirklich sehr nett, man merkt dass sich das Hostel um eine guten Aufenthalt bemüht.

Very good place

Le meilleur endroit à El Valle de Anton. Personnel chaleureux et accueillant, petit déjeuner inclus. Magnifique jardin où se reposer en après-midi. À proximité de toutes les nécessités à pied. Nous y sommes même retournées la semaine suivante puisqu'il s'agit d'une valeur sûre.

great hostel, nice cafe, good breakfast & well equipped kitchen to cook your own meals :)! The 15-bed dorm didn’t feel too crowded. Location is really good and the staff helped with hikes etc., unfortunately none of the activities happened during my stay, but el Valle makes it easy to do stuff by yourself :)

Traveled a lot and normally don’t leave reviews but really great spot. Staff is great. Great how they organize daily hikes and activities. Food is solid. And really liked the nature vibes with the river running through it. It’s really chill but also sociable if you want it to be. Also if you need to work remotely it’s a very good co-working space. Stayed in the cylinder room and it’s an excellent value!

Book for 2 nights. Felt welcome and home the first minute. Hostel is really clean and the staff is the best! Extended for a 3rd night and I wish I had even more time to stay longer 🥲

Extremely clean, the facilities were exceptional, the vibe was calm and peaceful and the staff were so nice, friendly and helpful...shoutout to Tatiana! Not the most modern hostel in the world, and not a huge atmosphere in terms of socialising/partying (in case that is what you are looking for), but everything else was absolutely outstanding.

We really enjoyed our stay at bodhi hostel and lounge! The kitchen is good for cooking! There are a lot of things to cook with. The dorms are clean and hygienic. You have warm water and a hairdryer. The hostel is very beautiful and has a nice garden to enjoy.

One of my best hostels in Panama so far. Social areas and events organized. Clean and good breakfast. I loved the valle

I really liked having a cafe in the hostel, an all the info about the town and things to do available at the reception desk, good location as well. Not much room for bags in the dorm but other than that it was great! And good pancakes!

Great location and lovely staff who cooked up good breakfasts in the morning. Good outside area. However, the dorms and beds didn’t feel that clean and felt a bit cramped.

De privékamer waarin ik verbleef was top! Ook de locatie was echt een pluspunt. Wel vond ik het personeel eerder aan de neutrale kant; ik had hen graag wat enthousiaster en vriendelijker gezien. Het ontbijt dat inbegrepen is, is uitstekend en een zeer leuke extra om te hebben.

Very neat hostel. Warm showers and nice social areas. I was there just for a short time and already knew people, but I think it could have been easy to socialize with others. Staff was super friendly and very helpfull.
