I have not had a chance to deal with such an impolite and grumpy owner for a long time. The owner speaks no proper French nor proper Spanish, not to mention any English. That is not a sin but if you run an accommodation for international tourist, I would expect for some mode of communication to be arranged. I guess budget/bikepacker tourist like me who refuse to eat overpriced breakfast/dinner indoors don't deserve politeness. The Riad is not in a decrepit state, but some parts of
Correct dans l’ensemble.
The people we stayed with were super kind and they offered help whenever they could, even though they could not speak english. The biggest problem we had was the location since it was not possible to find the hostel with Google Maps, we had to either remember it from the time we were shown (which wasn’t easy) or ask the locals for help. Those always asked for money for their help, sometime really aggressively. The whole area is a bit sketchy at night. Also, the bathroom smelled really bad.
Riad Mikou has very friendly staff, but I would recommend to not do your laundry there. They charged us 210 MAD for a very regular amount of clothes. We asked for the price before and they said they couldn't tell us right away. We figured it would be overpriced, but 210 MAD was wild. We tried to settle it, but they wouldn't change the price. The clothes came back not dry, they had new stains and it smelled like some clothes weren't washed with soap or at all.
the staff are really nice people and the common area of the riad is ok, the main issue is that the building is a bit run down and the rooms don't look like the pictures. the location is slightly confusing but once you walk it once, its easy to find again.
Owners are lovely but don't speak any English.I paid for a bed in a 4-bed ensuite dorm, which doesn't exist - I received a bed in a 3-bed room without a bathroom, and if there'd been other guests I would've been sharing with them. My friend was in a completely different building, albeit very close by. WARNING - this place is in the bad end of the Medina. No shops, no amenities, more or less a ghetto with lots of dodgy guys around trying to scam and intimidate you.
We had a nice stay. The bed was comfortable and the pillows decent. The room was warm with the heater provided. It can be loud… one night someone was watching a movie and it seemed to echo in the raid a lot… otherwise it was very quiet. As others have said, the location is tricky to find but my wife and I were able to successfully navigate back on our own one night. The breakfast is fantastic and the tour guide they arranged for us was fantastic.
Very friendly and helpful staff that really take time to show you arouaround abd help get your barings. Also offering a great range of activities to do in Fes. Facilities were clean and overall a very warm and welcoming environment

Had a great stay here. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. I was given key for the property and the room so I was free to come and go whenever. The rooftop view in the morning and evening is a lovely bonus. Would recommend.
This was my favourite place that I stayed in during my Morocco trip. The hosts were wonderful, kind, and helpful. I loved the rustic, family feel feel. The room was simple but clean and quiet. It was a bit hard to find, as are many places in the labyrinth of the Fes Medina. Be careful of the random people who will somewhat for foricbly insist on guiding you there. It is better to call the riad, who will help to show you the way. I am so grateful to have stayed here. It was very affordable, too!
Super séjour au Riad Mikou ! Adil et Younes seront toujours là pour répondre à vos questions !
Riad Mikou was fun and the people working there were really sweet! The bathroom was a little bit old and rustic, but the bedroom was comfortable. Youssaine and Amine were kind and helped us a lot to navigate through the medina which is quite complex. They also prepared us a nice breakfast for a good price. We had everything we needed at Riad Mikou for our short stay. We recommend!
You are in the Medina. The owner has an English speaking person. Hasan met me at the taxi stand, after my driver called the riad. He also walked me to and from the Hamam, highly recommend. The owner walked me and waited with me for your pick up got me taxi on departure day. The really care about you and want to ensure you enjoy your stay and are safe. For me they made Fes do able.
Younès est super gentil et très serviable

Everything was really great. Thank you Hassan!
They are really kind people!

The best riad I live in Morocco. The host was sooo friendly. He would pick us up at the complicated alleys in Medina no matter where we go. He also helped us to get to CTM station in the early morning at a fair price by taxi.
Located in the heart of medina. Helpful staff. Very clean place.
Super good place to stay; people are really nice and they even picked us up from the taxi place to walk us to the riad, which is amazing as the city can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Kudos to the riad-owners. The room snd breakfast is also very nice ! Would definitely recommend staying here
A very nice place with great people and very friendly. You are practically in the center of the "Medina" so you can explore the real heart of Fes. The staff picked me up in a square and they also took me to the hotel where I had a guided tour! It would have been very difficult without them because the Medina of Fes is so big and it is a real maze. The house is very nice: there is a kitchen, internet and everything is very clean! I will definitely come back!
Great place to stay for a few nights in Fez. A little hard to find at first, but other than that it is within walking distance of everything. The rooms are a little dated, but if you are not fussy about that, the bed is comfortable and the staff is very friendly.
Wonderful place to stay in Fès Highly recommend it!
Highly recommend.! We stayed in a private ensuite room. It was comfortable and clean. The thing I want emphasize the most is the hospitality of the owners. The night we arrived Hassan walked us to a restaurant near by, Riad Ouliya, that was fantastic. It’s a little pricier (20 euros pp) but worth it if you are looking for quality. We had an early bus the morning we left and so the couple living at the riad woke up early and walked us to the taxi stand (we would have never found it).
