Slacklines Hostel

Had a nice stay here until the last day, their dog bit me in the face and had to go to the clinic. We were told after the dog can be like this but it was never mentioned to us before. Very little acknowledgment or remorse from the owner which was alarming as I needed to go to the clinic and get 3 medications, a cleaning and a rabies vaccine and pay for it myself

Was missold booking this accommodation, states on the website that there is a pool and meals available. This is not true, there is no pool in use since before covid apparently and no restaurants. It’s about 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurant, and further to have options. If you were using this as a base to hire a scooter and explore then I think it would be fine if you planned on spending no time at the resort. I found the room uncomfortable (small, dark, no locks on doors, noisy beds) but the chilling areas & staff are nice. You can rent a scooter and explore the island which I would definitely recommend :)

The premium bungalows were fine, with a private cold-water shower (hot showers available in dorms). The location is good if you have a scooter, which can be rented on-site. Free tea, coffee, and water were a plus. The staff was helpful, especially when they safely removed a venomous centipede from our room. However, the owner was aggressive, grabbed my companion, and acted confrontational while stoned. No apology was given. Would not return.

Good value for money. I would not rent scooter here anymore. The first day I had to call taxi to come back in the hostel because the scooter stopped working due to a filter problem. I rent another old motorbike the day after and after 2/3 hours the same problem.. This time the hostel helped me. The boss assumed that was my fault and he was not at all understanding. I add that in three months traveling in Asia I rented many motorbike and I have never had any problem. The motorbike in the hostel ...

We did not enjoy our stay here. We found mice in the bungalow and were quite disturbed. After a bit of conflict, the owner thankfully moved us to another bungalow. The team of staff otherwise are kind and good vibes. In our first bungalow the door didn’t have a way of locking. If you stay in one of the open air bungalows just beware it is quite bare bones. Convenient to rent a scooter to get around the island. Wish this team the best, unfortunately our stay was not one I’d recommend.

Der Pool ist leider lange nicht mehr aktiv. Personal war super freundlich, viele Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen. Lage leider eher schlecht, abgelegen. Hostel bietet günstig Scooter zum mieten an.

The Place was chill. Evenings kind of empty. The beds where comfy.

John has done a great job at creating a space that is social, relaxed, and easy. The hostel is quite boho, in the nature and a bit outside of the town (scooter is needed, they rent them at the hostel), and it’s a nice little oasis. They could improve on safety and facilities, as I think the price is a bit high for what is offered, but overall it’s a very nice vibe!

Such a vibe!! The staff , the guests , the property, everyone hangs at the bar too easy to meet people, the private bungalows were incredible, make sure you have a scooter tho!

Private bungalows good value for a hostel. Very basic bathroom but clean. Huge ant problem which sucked but manageable as long as you keep your belongings organised & minimise rubbish. No AC, good fan but ventilation wasn’t great so room stayed hot even when it was cooler outside & doors & windows were open. Very laid back, small pool, hammocks were lovely. Great stay at Slacklines. We found everyone who worked there really helpful, including giving some local advice and helping us book an airport transfer. We stayed in a private room, which was a great bungalow style room. The bedroom and bathroom are open plan so be prepared to hear your friend/partner use the toilet! Prima hostel. Bungalow was goed schoon wel wat aan de prijs (ook erg last minute geboekt) Vriendelijk personeel. Niet veel op aan te merken!

Heel fijne sfeer, lieve mensen en goede locatie!

Das Hostel liegt etwas abseits, ein Roller wird aber direkt durchs Hostel vermittelt. Dafür gehört ein schöner großer Garten mit kleinem Pool zu der Anlage. Warmduschen gibt es leider nur eine für das ganze Hostel, erstaunlicherweise ging es aber immer auf. Dusche und Bad ist komplett draußen, was bei Thailändischem Wetter allerdungs kein Problem darstellt. Das größte Manko: Die Zimmer waren sehr unordentlich.

Great outdoor space in nature. The rooms are okay, but you will spend most of your time outside anyways. Just keep in mind that the hostel is quite remote and you really need to rent a scooter to go places. Scooter rental at the hostel is cheap though.

J'ai passé 10 jours formidables à Slacklines !!! L'ambiance est carrément summer camp pour adultes, très sociale et chill pour se poser entre copains car l'endroit est idéal pour rencontrer des gens chill et fun. Le personnel est d'une extrême gentillesse et très sympathique vraiment cet endroit a gagné sa place dans mon cœur. Les dortoirs sont bien aménagés et les lits ultra confortables. Allez-y les yeux fermés !!

Super nice place, in the middle of the island, about 3 min drive from the main road/beaches/bars. Motorbike is a must but you can rent it from the hostel directly. We stayed in a bungalow, which was essential but clean. The staff is super helpful and friendly and overall the hostel vibe is very relaxed and super chill. Recommended!

just perfect. chill vibes to meet people. perfect location if you have a scooter. very helpful staff.
