Probably one of the worst hostels I ever stayed in. Staff wise they were friendly, and the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for-someplace chill. My issue come from the smell of the room. It was incredibly musty like someones unwashed sweaty feet was rubbed all over the sheets and bunk beds. on top of that, some fellow travelers and I were having a decent conversation then this old man comes and kills the mood by being so rude. I booked 2 nights and left after the first night.
This hostel was kinda nasty. There were drunk and high people sleeping in the common areas both night and day, which made it impossible to enjoy the common areas which is sad because otherwise they were quite nice. The dorms were so messy and smelly with such bad air quality. My friend and I got top bunks and they did not have charging ports or lamps. Honestly the worst hostel we have stayed at during our 3 weeks in Colombia. Positives: well equipped kitchen, and kind and helpful staff.

Our group booked the 'Peru' room (4 single beds). During our stay, one of our friends kept noticing many bug bites on her body each morning. At first we thought they were probably mosquito bites from going out the prior nights. She unfortunately found a bed bug on her mattress the last night of our reservation. We brought it to the employee's attention and he acknowledged it was a bed bug, picked it up, and threw it on the ground. Cleanliness is not a priority for this hostel. Don't stay here.
I booked this hostel for three nights and prepaid at the start. I was uncomfortable from day 1 and left after the first night without a refund. I booked a mixed hostel, and maybe that was my mistake as a female traveling solo but there was no lock on the door. Each time I entered another gentleman was changing. The bathrooms weren't clean and they smelled like smoke even though there was supposed to be a designated balcony. The only thing I liked about this hostel was the convient location.

Trotz der schlechten Bewertungen wollten wir uns ein eigenes Bild machen. Leider ist es aber wirklich sehr ungemütlich in diesem Hostel. Es stinkte sehr in unserem 4er Zimmer und überall war Schimmel an den Decken. Zudem waren WC und Dusche schutzig. Wir mussten nach einer Nacht die zweite gebuchte Nacht stornieren. Das Personal war aber sehr freundlich und verständnisvoll, ausserdem ist die Lage toll.
Despite the bad reviews we wanted to make our own picture. unfortunately it is really very uncomfortable in this hostel. it smelled very bad in our 4th room and there was Schimmel on the Deck everywhere. besides the WC and Shower were sheltered. we had to cancel the second booked night after one night. the staff was very friendly and understanding, besides the location is great.
A bit dirty, a bit creepy.
Honestly wouldnt recommend. Pros: Location, mostly friendly staff and nice kitchen. Cons: Laundry service destroyed 3 of my white t-shirts, people sleeping in the common areas every morning and homeless people outside of the hostel.
It wasnt great - quite disapointing to be honest. Hot, smelly and not comfortable.

Booked a private room that was good value for money - clean and had Aircon. Great location in Laureles, only drawback is it can be noisy during the evening as the bar is close to the rooms.

Falta actualicacion. Baños muy viejos y no muy limpios. Tiene bar con buen ambiente, pero si tu habitacion esta al lado y tienes que madrugar para tomar un avion u otro transporte, olvidate de dormir. No se respetan las horas de silencio
Lack of updates. very old and not very clean bathrooms. has a bar with a good atmosphere, but if your room is next door and you have to get up early to catch a plane or other transport, forget about sleeping. no quiet hours are observed
The wandering paisa is a good standard hostel. It has good lounge and eating areas. Although the bar was spacious it never had anything going on. I really liked the location of it, laureles is super sweet and you also have plenty of bars a minute away, plus the subway is a 6 mins walk which was super convenient. The people were nice but I didn't find it very social.
Great en suite female dorm! It’s a relatively social hostel without being a party hostel. Communal kitchen is great (just wish there was more than one stove top!) Hostel hosts language exchange on Wednesday and Karaoke on Thursday which are great ways to meet other people in the community. More of a longer term population.
La cocina y los baños están muy bien y limpios. Aunque hay pocos baños por tanta gente. En la habitación de 8 personas no hay casi espacio para las mochilas. Igualmente hay taquillas pequeñas para guardar objetos de valor.
The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice and clean. although there are few bathrooms for so many people. in the room of 8 people there is almost no space for backpacks. there are also small lockers to store valuables.

Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung, aber ich würde es niemanden empfehlen dort länger als 3 Tage zu bleiben. Ich für meinen Verhältnisse fand die Stimmung im Hostel etwas drückend. Die Luft in meinem Zimmer war schlecht, man konnte nicht lüften, ich würd da nicht mehr hin wollen.
The price is in order, but I would not recommend anyone to stay there longer than 3 days. i found the atmosphere in the hostel somewhat depressing for my circumstances. the air in my room was bad, you could not ventilate, i would not want to go there anymore.
I had a great stay here, really nice staff and location to this área the 70 where there is good night life. Some cool events here too, nice place to meet people.
Muy buen hostal, con ambiente tranquilo pero social. La ubicación cerca de la estación del metro Estadio es muy práctica para moverse y llegar rápidamente tanto al centro de Medellín, como a la Comuna 13. Alrededor también hay muchos bares y restaurantes para salir y comer, y la colonia en general se siente segura. Las instalaciones son buenas, aunque los baños podrían ser mejores, sin tampoco ser antihigiénicos. Cuando regrese a Medellín definitivamente buscaré hospedarme aquí ot...
The location near the Estadio metro station is very convenient to move around and get quickly to both the center of Medellín, as well as the Comuna 13. around there are also many bars and restaurants to go out and eat, and the colony in general feels safe. the facilities are good, although the baths could be better, without being unhygienic either. when I return to Medellín I will definitely look to stay here again.

Établissement bruyant où les chambres sont ouvertes aux pièces communes au niveau des fenêtres. Les gens sont sales et laissent leurs bouteilles, mégots sur la terrasse. La chambre était minuscule. Les lits et coussins sont très confortables en revanche ! Nous préférons les endroits plus calmes qui permettent de se reposer dans l’agitation de la ville, nous avons demandé à cancel 2 nuits et le manager a gentiment accepté. Donc bon point pour le personnel qui est très sympathique
The room was tiny. the beds and cushions are very comfortable on the other hand ! we prefer the quieter places which allow us to rest in the hustle and bustle of the city, we asked to cancel 2 nights and the manager kindly accepted. so good point for the staff who is very friendly

A super nice hostel, in a very good location. There’s everything you might need: a well equipped kitchen, nice chill areas with hammocks and social events. I absolutely love the decoration, all the painted walls and flowers, beautiful!
Mi experiencia en Wandering Paisa fue excelente. El ambiente es acogedor, el personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar.
