Being Porto Hostel

We were looking for a standard room with a view, and had no idea that the bathroom was outside of the bedroom. It shall be precised for the price …

5 star for location, just right next to a busy street, felt safe even at night. The only problem was the noise, it's almost like the wall doesn't exist.. I stayed on the second floor and I can hear the noise from the main door (not the bedroom door!) every time someone comes in & out hostel, walking up the stairs, people talking on the streets.. And the bed is so shaky, it makes loud noise every time you move.. Not recommended for light sleeper.

Great location but staff not very helpful. NO ELEVATOR so be ready to carry any luggage up 3-4 levels!! Bathrooms in mixed dorm left insanely gross and foul smelling. Kitchen small dingy and dark

Upside was hostel in a great location. Downside was the property advertises full use of the kitchen but it is closed from 11pm at night and didn’t open until midday the next day unless you bought breakfast from them for an extra charge. Also only one couch to sit on. One bathroom per two dorm rooms.

Very clean bedrooms. Brilliant location. Basic kitchen. Very small sofa in reception to relax. Some staff lovely, some abrupt.

A clean Hostel with a nice breakfast. We didn’t like the atmosphere that much, but we also just stayed one night, so maybe it’s more social when you stay longer.

The room was clean, but the mattress itself was uncomfortable. Didn’t sleep too well. The little lamp on the top bunk bed did not work, however I was able to charge my phone with the outlet. Bathroom was clean and able to use. They could have kept the travelers’ noise level down from the main lobby/steps, especially in the very late hours.

I liked the dorms and the building in total. Everything was clean and nice. The bathroom had a really bad smell from ac, but that was the only thing. The location was great, not far from the river and everything. But still I didn't feel good with it. Now that I am more in the center of the city, I am more likely to see Porto and do something, than I was down there. The atmosphere wasn't too social sadly. Nobody used the shared space and in the kitchen were people at breakfast only.

The hostel was really good, the location was great. But it was hard to meet new people.

Staff was really nice! Location was within walking distance to everything. Bathrooms cleaned every day, and a great price!

super great location in the heart of porto. staff were very accommodating and even asked if i needed storage at checkout. rooms were clean and spacious, and right next to the bathroom. was expecting a younger demographic, but is nice that 18-30 were here for trips. i would totally stay here again as a female solo traveller!

I had an amazing time! The location was perfect so close to everything. There wasn’t a very social vibe but it was nice to have peace and quiet after a long day out.

+ Friendly staff, great location, clean room and great view in a second floor room. ~ No space to unpack and store clothes, no TV.

Loved this hostel. Very nice family-run business. Perfect location. Stayed in a private twin room that was the perfect size for two friends. Private bathroom outside room was big and clean, had clean towels and body wash. Nice living room and kitchen for shared space that was empty the whole time we were there, although it was low season. Would stay again!

Location was good in the city center. Staffs were super kind. The hostel was not that crowded at the moment. If u find quite hostel here will be suitable. The only uncomfortable thing is no elevator.

This was a great starting point for my Camino adventure. Very quiet and allowed for a great nights sleep.

Nice hostel in a good location, no chance for socializing tho. Staff was unhelpful at times and not very friendly. Room was okay but no curtains at the bed, bathroom was semi clean most of the time.

The hostel is cozy and nice. The position it's well located. Be careful with late arrival since from 11 PM a fee will be applied. I had a pleasant stay at the hostel. Beds are so comfortable! Obrigadaaa

Very relaxed vibe, definitely not a social hostel. Has a nice hotel vibe with dorms in private rooms. Nice balcony from my room with very nice view. I liked having my own quiet space. Would recommend for fellow introverts.
