Terrible experience – avoid this place! I stayed here and it was one of the worst experiences The staff were unprofessional and dishonest They are only friendly until they get your money, after that they don’t care at all. The facilities are overrated and poorly maintained, and communication is very bad. There are many better hostels in Mongolia don’t waste your time and money Scam——

This was such a bad choice. I got bitten by mosquitos 40 times there was no AC or even a fan. I paid for 6 beds and they gave me the 10 beds. The showers were gross. This place is only good for the tour aspect. But the stay was so miserable. The travelers had everything laying down on the floor worse than a train in Vietnam I asked to change bed and they didn’t so now I have to leave a bad review. On the superficial staff is nice to you but really they don’t care. The beds had no curtains.

Unfriendly and incompentent fom the moment we arrived. Please do not stay here. Our booking wasn't on record, we were given basic bunks when we'd booked a double room with private bathroom. It took a lot of effort on our part to get it changed. The room was uncleaned and dirty, breakfast was poor, and the service was cold. Breakfast was reheated fried eggs and bread. The shower was broken and there was stuff left in the freezer. They tried to sell tours to us at every possible moment.

WARINING! Do not book any trip through this agency. Uugi the owner is very rude person. Once you pay here she will return to a horrible person. They have different price depot on which country you coming from and what job you have.There is cheaper agency outside She will send you to her cousin and charge you as much as she can. If you do not have other options then do not pay more than 20 dollar for staying at her relatives place per night and max 45 to join group. Very bad organised and food

Unfortunately, our experience at this hostel was mostly negative. Bathrooms and showers were usually dirty, and the tours are overpriced, unsafe, and not better than other agencies. During my stay, a van had a mechanical failure, and we heard of another group whose vehicle caught fire, with no real help from the hostel. Staff were unhappy to help when we planned our own trip. The only positive is the social vibe, but overall we can’t recommend this hostel.

But then it became less and less of an Mongolian experience, and rather an experience with groups of people from specific country far away, who acted as if the place was theirs. Very unsocial atmosphere too, except for the staff who were very polite and friendly. It has perfect location and the very basics that most hostels offer, except for bed curtains and a spacious communal area. Toilets were not clean, the fault of all the guests I believe

Some things just seemed so sketchy. They are very eager to try and sell you a tour. They have a million different fobs and codes, some of which are not even given to you until several days after you check in when you are locked out. If you get put in the annex, you get given a fob, and two six digit codes to enter your room. On top of this you cannot access the main hostel as your fob doesn’t work. Then the water dispenser doesn’t work, there are open electrics, and no soap in the annex.

So we have stayed in many hostels around the world. This isn’t a hostel - this is an overcrowded guesthouse. The communal areas are tiny. The rooms have little to no space for bags - WiFi was broken. Dorms upstairs have one bathroom for 20 people. They run tours from here which while useful - you can stay anywhere and do tours. Our tour the driver got lost everyday and ‘guide’ barely knew anything. We booked another apartment in same area, after our tour for exactly the same price, do that...

Convenient because you can book your tours directly with the hostel. There is a wide choice of tours and many people start their journey in this hostel. Although don’t stay to long because the vibe isn’t there, beds are very hard and the common area’s/showers are closing at 10pm

The room was fine, some of the staff were kind but it was very hard to get a proper feel for this hostel due to the enormous group from a country that likes to use money to take over that took over the whole place. I asked for tour information and waited for two hours before I left to go elsewhere. The staff member messaged me three hours after that with information. A complete waste of a day and poor first impression of this hostel and Mongolia.

This place is a few blocks from everything you’d want to see in the capital they speak English and they provide all services. They can pretty much set up your entire trip for you at a discount. The staff is very nice. Everything is literally a block away in including a part that you can work out and across the street I couldn’t think of a better place to stay in Mongolia.

The staff are very friendly! I had a great experience even checking in during the middle of the night. The rooms are a bit dated but perfectly servicable. The tour organized by Golden Gobi was a fantastic time. Our guide and driver were extremely knowledgeable and gave us some authentic Mongolian experiences that would be difficult to get without a guide. 100% recommend.

Great hostel with a big kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. The staff were the highlight, they are able to help book any trip in Mongolia, and customised my trip perfectly. The reception staff were wonderful too, especially Enkhjin who went out of her way to make me feel at home.

Amazing place and staff. Booked a tour last minute and they were very accommodating. The tour was fantastic and can’t wait to do it all again, wish I did it for longer.

It was perfect for what we needed. A little loud but really welcoming. The staff helped set us up on a last minute trip which was amazing! Perfect location as well. Would definitely come back next time.
