- Sur booking je dis que je viendrai après 22h et disent OK, après il demande la facturation de 20 eur... place de parking marqué dans la description après, une fois réservée il vous envoie un grands mail des règles internes et indique que la place de parking n'est pas disponible

- Alles. Voor de prijs die we betaald hebben was het echt een verschrikking. Het personeel was op zich wel vriendelijk, in zo verre er communicatie is geweest. We konden voor 3 uur al inchecken en kregen de sleutels, maar we konden pas om 3 uur de kamer in werd ons verteld, want deze waren ze nog aan het schoonmaken. We komen er om kwart over 3 aan in de gang waar onze kamer zich bevind en deze hangt vol met kledinghangers met drogende voetbalshirts en als klap op de vuurpijl was de Schoonmaakster nog niet klaar. Stonden we daar mooi te kijken met onze spullen in de gang. Vervolgens komen we de kamer binnen en valt deze ook enorm tegen. De douche zo klein dat je bijna je kont niet eens kunt keren. De kamer zo klein dat er net 2 lossen bedden in passen tegen elkaar aan geschoven en 2 nachtkastjes er tussen en dan hield je een klein paadje over om te lopen. Je kleren en spullen kon je kwijt in een locker zoals je in bedrijven hebt. Er was geen tv aanwezig in de kamer geen radio helemaal niks. Daarbij was het ijskoud in de kamer en zijn de muren zo dun dat je alles mee kon krijgen van de buren en over de gang. Ook de ramen weren so slecht dat je elk geluidje van buiten mee kreeg. Vervolgens gaan we met moeite slapen op bedden waar we rugpijn van krijgen en wordt er toegelaten dat een groep jongeren om 6:50 uur in de ochtend voor het gebouw recht voor de ramen van de kamers gaan lopen schreeuwen sporten en springen. Terwijl je elke sprong goed kon horen in de kamers en er achter het hotel een park is met een atletiekbaan. Het ontbijt was enorm teleurstellend er was vrij weinig keus, de melk voor de cornflakes was erg vies van smaak en de mini chocoladebroodjes werden eisen op gegeven niet meer dan 2 per persoon. Het was echt een grote teleurstelling voor die 114 euro en wat we ervoor hebben gekregen. Hier keren we echt nooit meer terug.

- 2 Nächte kein Auge zugemacht wegen lärmender Mitbewohner! Leider ist nachts kein Personal in der Unterkunft und unter der angegeben Telefonnummer keiner zu erreichen! Am ersten Tag war auch die Polizei zu Besuch im Hostel, angeblich wurde ein Handy gestohlen. Die Preise in dieser Jugendherberge waren allerdings eher auf 3 Sterne Hotel Niveau, wahrscheinlich wegen Rennwochenende in Zandvoort…

- Das Zimmer war extrem stickig. Nur ein kleines Fenster konnte auf Kipp geöffnet werden. Flur zu den Zimmern sehr stickig und hat gemuffelt.

+ The staff were Nice and helpful to deal with the issues we had. The breakfast was nice.

- We booked the hostel as it looked good on photos with facilities to enjoy for the evening, for the parking and reviews on cleanliness. The parking was closed and shut off with dustbins when we arrived and we had to park on the main road. The room was dirty - beds had stains, floor dirty and other peoples bits not taken away. We had a private room at great expense for what it was and not sure what we were paying for as the beds were unclean and had to make ourselves, no towels and the window didnt have a blind and was looking directly into the car park. In 8 in the morning there were workmen drilling directly outside the window so no privacy at all and unable to sleep or get changed without workmen seeing straight in. All the pictures show greenery outside but the whole of one side is directly looking into the car park with nonprivacy blinds. It was a really Unpleasant experience. We paid the same Price for a 4 star hotel with full facilities elsewhere! To be fair, the staff were good at dealing with the issues and we were moved to a Much nicer room and compensated so that is good. However this was not a good value, clean experience on the whole and was very unrelaxing and the photos do not represent the experience.

+ Hôtel quasiment neuf et bien fonctionnel. wc et douche dans des pièces à part. Le lavabo dans la large entrée qui devance la chambre. L'hôtel a à ses pieds l'arrêt de bus qui permet d'aller au centre ville car les parkings pour voiture sont très chers. Parking pour se garer gratuitement. Un bar est ouvert et on peut dîner avec des plats simples si on a commandé à l'avance.

+ Well located with a bus stop right in front of it. It’s possible to walk from there to the center but will take an average of 50 minutes. Also very safe to walk at night alone as a female.

- The closing times of the reception was a bit of a shock for me. Because towels are not given and I’ve forgotten mine, which was my own fault, I would rent one but even past 08am and the reception was still closed. Just the timings were not what I expected, but also isn’t the end of the world. Sadly I shared the room with some people that probably never heard that hostels will have people arriving late and trying to have their bed light on for a few minutes to get themselves organized to sleep, which was the first time I had an issue in over four years staying in hostels. But that had nothing to do with the hostel itself more so the people.

+ The location is a bit far from Haarlem center, but there is a dedicated bus stop, so you can get there from the train station very easily. I appreciated not being in town. Not a lot of restaurants around as it is next to a park on 2 sides, but they aren't very far. The room was on the outside wall, facing the road and so was a little loud at night, but nothing unbearable. Staff were very friendly.

- Breakfast wasn't great, I wouldn't have paid for it, but it was fine. As for the room, many residents left trash sitting around on tables and that wasn't cleaned up (though I think that says more about the other residents than the staff).

+ Large room, comfortable bed, and a very spacious locker (bring your own padlock). The shower, toilet, and sink are all inside the room, but each is separated from the others, which is very convenient in shared rooms. Very good breakfast with plenty of variety. It’s not in the city center, but there is a bus stop right in front of the hostel.

- Although it is a hostel, there is no kitchen available for guests to prepare food, and access to the refrigerator is limited to the hours when staff are present (which is not 24/7), since the fridge is located in a restricted-access area.

+ The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had lots of choices, different dishes each day, tasted good, and was plentiful. The breakfast room was bright and spacious. Bikes were available to rent. It was too far to walk from Haarlem centre or train station, but you could cycle, or take a bus that stopped directly outside and which ran every 30 minutes and cost €3.10 each way. The bin in the room was changed daily. The shower and toilet were separated. The shower was hot and had a good pressure, but the shower cubicle was small.

- There was hand soap but no shower gel, so bring your own. Also bring your own towel and padlock. The worst thing was the beds. The mattress and bedding was comfortable, but the bedding had to be placed and removed yourself. Not a big problem you would think, but it was when people would arrive at all times of the night and early hours and start clattering and disturbing you. The bed frames are metal bunk beds, and shake crazily every time the person in the top bunk turns over, climbs up or down the stairs, or moves in their sleep. There is no privacy curtain on the beds. There is no night light in the room, there are individual night lights at each bed, but because there are no need curtains, the lights flood the whole room, making it impossible to sleep. No separation between the toilet, shower, and beds, so all the noise of someone using the toilet is transmitted to the room

- Trop cher pour une chambre avec des lits superposés où il faut faire et défaire son lit. Pour ceux qui prennent la place du dessus : bon courage ! Insonorisation moyenne entre les chambres. Pas de savon dans les douches. Auberge de jeunesse sans cuisine. Le petit dej n’a vraiment rien d’exceptionnel comme il est écrit dans certains commentaires. Hygiène à revoir pour le personnel que j’ai vu mettre le fromage et la charcuterie avec les mains dans la cuisine. Bref Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas au rendez vous : 1 nuit pour 3 à 240€ !
