La Lanterna Traveller Hostel

Hostel is quite average. It was just myself and another bloke staying there in the second last week of July, which was a bit of a downer. The rooms get very hot, I didn’t fit in the bed (tbf I am 196cm), the staff were friendly and were patient me with a payment issue. Not bad, but not good either. Felt like you were in someone’s house. Quite far away from everything, at least a 20 minute walk. It was very old and run down but at least it was clean. Staff spoke little English and weren’t around much at all so it was difficult when I needed anything. The kitchen was okay but the lighter was empty to light the gas stove so I had to use my own lighter, just as well I had one otherwise no dinner for me because I couldn’t find any staff! Stayed here for one night. Welcome etc was good. We believe we were the only guests which reduced our opportunities to meet other people.

the place was quite dirty, the beds were clean, really good location and the guy was really sweet. Best sunset I've seen in my holidays!

Nice staff, location was close to the sea, but bathroom was not the cleanest. but nice stay overall, would recomend:)

Not a bad hostel but definitely bare bones. Slept well and felt safe but not many security measures in place if that would bother you. Good place near the beach though and would stay again.

If there had been people it would have been great, but I was the only one staying in the hostel for that night. The location is perfect though, it's less than 5 mins walking to a free beach and some restaurants. The hostel is very quiet and relaxed. Would totally come back with friends.

I love staying there with Claudio and Gaia as if I’m my family. Clean and natural surroundings, early morning calls from a black birds and others as well near to the beach shall going back again sometimes

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour !! Les personnes qui nous accueillies sont très sympathiques et généreuses. Le dortoir féminin est spacieux et donne sur la terrasse où nous pouvons y boire le café au frais ou y regarder le coucher du soleil. Il ne faut pas avoir peur de marcher pour ce rendre au centre et les commodités. Mais en revanche la plage est à 10min à pieds. Nous recommandons fortement cet auberge qui n’est pas un business mais un lieu de repos et d’accueil. Bonne cont...

This was just perfect! Me and my friend wants to thank dear Claudio for the lovely days we spent in Agropoli. It was so lovely that we booked one extra night. The hostel is not far away from the beach, the kitchen is cute, there is a terrace and a garden with a beautiful view to the ocean. This hostel has a special place in our hearts and we can 100% recommend the place :)

Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay for a weekend. It has a great location (close to the sea, and 30min away by foot from the old town), very friendly staff, amazing atmosphere. It's a simple beautiful place to clear your head.

Hele relaxte plek met grote keuken, tuin met uitzicht op de zee en een fijne familie waar je eigenlijk een beetje mee samenleeft. Je kunt gewoon je ding doen. Ivo spreekt Engels wat heel fijn/ handig is.

I’m so happy I found this hostel! There is a super calm and relaxed atmosphere, I asked the host for a new thing everyday; a cutting board, a bottle opener, the WiFi, a parasol etc and he was always super helpful and hospitable. I ended up leaving my door unlocked when I left during the day since there was truly no need to lock it at all. It’s 3 min away from the beach so I ended up going for swimming, sunsets and walks almost everyday. I will certainly come back again!

Nice place,a little bit different from the European hostels, but in Italy it's known that the hostels are like houses. I definitely want to come back next time and I hope to find more people to interact with. High recommended!

A great place to stay and stop over at one of there privates for a good value and re-energize. That’s how I used it, only went in town once and stayed for one night. I would only use it for that purpose personally but I’m grateful it was there.

Absolutely good. I am sure to come again soon. I like this amazing spirit of the Hostel and the owners are great.

Struttura rustica e un po' datata (anni '80) ma accogliente. Cucina a disposizione, aree comuni ampie, grande giardino, distributore di bevande... Personale gentilissimo. A 200 metri dal mare.

I wish we could have stayed here longer! The loveliest hosts who brought us fresh food from the garden, and some homemade fried pumpkin flowers. The room was incredibly spacious, we practically had three separate rooms, pleasantly surprised to fond our own kitchenette, living room, bedroom, balcony, and toilet. An incredible stay and I loved watching the football with the hosts :)

I realy loved the place! It is not the most fancy, but i have no need for that. The people there are amazing, of season it is the ideal place to clear your head and enjoy the peace

Superbe auberge. Tout confort en termes de place (1ere auberge de ma vie où pour 15e j'ai un lit double et une chambre rien que pour moi...) Hote tres acceuillant et arrangeant. L'auberge se situe juste au dessus dune villa hotel. Elle est mal référencée sur Gmaps mais c'est juste au dessus. Merci!
