Worst experience I have ever had at a hostel. I booked a 4-bed female dorm room expecting a safe and respectful environment. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. I was woken up at 3 AM by my bed shaking and squeaking. To my shock and disgust, the girl in the bunk below me had brought a male into the dorm and was having sex in my bunk bed. After informing the staff the next day and requesting action be taken they did nothing to rectify the issue. Very disappointed and disgusted.
I would not recommend this place for any reason other than the area.
This hostel could be very nice if they put some money into updates, such as new beds, lockers, and bathrooms. It is right in the middle of the tourist area, which some people might consider a positive. There was no guidance regarding local beaches or activities. I do not recommend Casa dos Arcos.
Our stay here was not pleasant at all. We arrived and we’re greeted by a very rude woman who treated us like children. She hovers around the common areas all day and is generally scowling and unfriendly. She also made negative comments about Americans and Brits. I can not express how horrified we were by this room. The girls only dorm is in a storage room next to the kitchen with no AC and is so cramped that all 4 girls can’t move around easily at once. No lock on the door and bad beds.
A localização é de fato muito boa,bem próximo a praia,mas a minha opinião quanto ao quarto compartilhado não me agradou. Quarto bem pequeno e mesmo com ventilador era MUITO quente. Noite desagradável. A estética do hostel é de um casarão antigo(de fato traz um charme),mas as casas de banho precisão de reforma. Não retorno. Melhorem!
The location is indeed very good, very close to the beach,but my opinion as to the shared room I did not like. very small room and even with fan was VERY hot. unpleasant night. the aesthetics of the hostel is of an old mansion ((de facto brings a charm),but the bathrooms precisely of reform. no return. better!
Ups: the Staff was friendly, although some tips for restaurants/ activities could have been given. They accept only cash. The kitchen was a good place to cook and the room was clean. Downs: The location: The hostel is right in the middle of a very loud (live music) touristy area. Especially in the evenings this makes it hard to have a relaxed time on the terrace or in the room. The Wifi did not reach the terrace or my room, which is a no-go for me. The house is beautiful but smells stuffy.

Il manque un porte manteau ou des patères pour accrocher les serviettes après la douche. Peu de rangement dans la salle de bain pour poser ses affaires à part la brosse à dent.
There is no coat rack or pads to hang napkins after showering, little storage in the bathroom to put your things aside from the toothbrush.
Staff excelente e prestativo, limpeza e cozinha bem equipado. Localização não poderia ser melhor, bem na old town onde tudo acontece. Único ponto negativo é não ter ar condicionado no quarto, o restante tudo perfeito!
Excellent and helpful staff, cleanliness and well equipped kitchen. location could not be better, right in the old town where everything happens. only negative point is not having air conditioning in the room, or remainder everything perfect!

Best location with the best house with the nicest people!
Hostel is in a very good position, not far from the Old town square and nearby beach. It has its own charm, historical sitting room and dining room with antique furniture and paintings on the walls. Rooms and showers are basic. Hostel is very restful, can’t hear outside noise. Kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. Kitchen is good size. And you can get very good and proper coffee for free!! Stuff friendly and welcoming. No curtains around beds and no area where you can dry your beach towels.

Very nice building, almost feels to nice to be a hostel. Rooms were good and terrace was nice, but it was a pretty dead atmosphere. I was visiting in March though
Really wonderful place and close to everything in town, beautiful architecturally on the inside as well. The only drawback is it's in Albufeira...
Amazing place! Royal vibes and in the heart of the city center
Bella location. Quella che una volta era la casa di una ricca famiglia locale ora ospite questo meraviglioso ostello. Posizione perfetta: in centro, vicino alla spiaggia e alla stazione dei bus. L'atmosfera del posto molto bella e rispecchia a pieno le vibes di Albufeira.
What was once the home of a wealthy local family now houses this wonderful hostel. perfect location: in the center, near the beach and the bus station. the atmosphere of the place is very beautiful and fully reflects the vibes of Albufeira.
I got nothing bad about this place, for the amount of money its definitely worth it. but luckily i met great full of people while i was there so it definitely makes the different. as the cleaning staff and front desk Thomas was very helpful and Carlos, that man is great human he's fun. thank you for having me. What a great memories to have.
The hostel has a really unique,historic vibe to it and the outside area is great to connect with people. Only thing you should consider is that the 4 person rooms are super small. So i would recommend to go for 8 :)
This property is so unique and special! The gorgeous outdoor area was the highlight of my stay. The room and all common areas were very clean and well kept, and all other guests were kind and respectful at all times. I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Albufeira!

Guesthouse Casa Dos Arcos in Albufeira is located, according to my personal experience, in the best location of the whole city: in the center of the old town, 100 Mt. walking distance from the beach, 100 Mt. walking distance from the movida, supermarket 10 Mt. walking distance. friendly staff reception and cleaning, available and very collaborative in everything, large, clean, rich in everything, communal kitchen, utensils, 2 refrigerators, plus everything that serves from tea, coffee, sugar, oi...

L'auberge est très conviviale, les deux grandes tables extérieures contribue à l'échange entre voyageurs et est très bien situé.. par contre je trouve le dortoir de 4 donnant sur la cour bruyant.. et surtout j'ai pas aimé les barreaux à la fenêtre.. j'ai préféré le chambre avec grand dortoir qui a beaucoup plus d'espace..
The hostel is very friendly, the two large outdoor tables contribute to the exchange between travelers and is very well located.. however I find the 4 bedroom bedroom overlooking the noisy courtyard.. and especially I didn't like the bars on the window.. I preferred the bedroom with large bedroom which has much more space..
very nice house-like accom with good kitchen and terrace space. right on the main street in old town with restaurants below, but once the windows were closed at night the noise wasn’t too bad. super close to the beach :)
Great location and beautiful house
The hostel itself was great. However, there’s no curtains on bunk beds. Also, we staying in a 4 bed mixed dorm attached to the kitchen which was tiny. This made it quite uncomfortable as you were in such close proximity to strangers without the barrier of a curtain. The room itself also had no lock, but the hostel itself was secure. Would still recommend staying but not in the 4 bed mixed dorm.
Great location, not the most social or the most modern but great for spending time at the beach
Lugar bonito e localização privilegiada. Não tem ar-condicionado no quarto que eu fiquei.
Nice place and privileged location. there is no air conditioning in the room I stayed in.
