They only turn the AC on at night and if you’re on the top bunks you don’t feel it and can barely sleep. Check out was at 10 and they wouldn’t let me sit in the common room until 12 when my bus was coming. Made me stand outside in the 95° heat… I could say more but I won’t
I’d like to start off with something positive. Great location. The staff are excellent hard-working and polite. The toilets were very clean as were the bedding and towels. The overall building is in desperate need of updating repairing and in some places restoring. We had many issues on the each day and we were only staying for two nights and in my opinion it’s very expensive for what it is. We had no hot water 1st day due to tap falling off. Très déçue de cet établissement… Étant une femme qui voyageait seule, je ne me suis pas sentie très en sécurité : porte d’entrée ouverte toute la journée, aucun verrou sur les portes des chambres, lockers cassés… Le lieu n’est pas propre surtout les salles de bain : si plusieurs personnes prennent leur douche en même temps, il n’y a presque plus d’eau dans l’une des salles de bain, douches sales et qui fuient. Malheureusement c’est la seule auberge de jeunesse à Tao...
disappointed with this establishment... being a woman who traveled alone, I didn't feel very safe: front door open all day, no lock on the doors of the rooms, locker rooms broken... The place is not clean especially the bathrooms: if several people take their shower at the same time, there is almost no more water in one of the bathrooms, very dirty and leaking showers. unfortunately this is the only hostel in Taormina...
The fligyt waa cancelled because of the volcano i informed them if they can nor charge me and they charged me.we had to stay 2 days in naples in a hotel out of the city in general customer service in Italy is awful
The staff and location were incredible, but unfortunately the aircon wasn’t working in the room I was in and made it almost impossible to get a wink of sleep - I don’t suggest staying here until they’ve fixed this! (Which hopefully they do asap)
Cannot fault the staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. They also kept the place clean. The accommodation in itself could do with some work - one shower had a broken door, toilet seat broken. In the rooms, as soon as someone got into bed / move you could feel and hear it.
The guy who did my checkin was amazing, Ítalo his name. The place is nice, pretty clean and feels indeed like home. But the next day in the morning the girl that was in the reception made sure to kick us out of the Hostel ASAP after our CheckOut, otherwise we would have to pay extra 5€ just to be there on the terrace with our new friends. Checkout was at 10:00 and we couldn’t even stay one hour more to organize the rest of our trip.
The hostel has a great location and a beautiful terrace. There is a strong need for renovation of the whole interior and the hostel inside. The kitchen equipment ist mostly inoperable. For sleeping the hostel is okay. Bathroom and kitchen were filthy.
Bed bugs
Les règles de l’auberge ne sont pas les memes pour tout le monde. La terrasse ferme à 23h pour les guests mais pas à la même heure pour le staff. Le staff nous a demandé de quitter la terrasse à 23h, ce que nous avons fait. Cependant, il a continué d’occuper les lieux avec certains guests environ jusqu’à 00h. La propreté de l’établissement laisse à désirer. Les lits sont nettoyés avec du désodorisant et les douches sont nettoyées en surface. Bonne localisation

I’ve really enjoyed my time at this hostel. Especially the balcony is amazing, really cozy and just an amazing place to get to know people better. I get excited thinking about it :)

很不错的入住体验，位置在山顶，徒步上山有点费劲，但有interbus就还行，员工很热情，阳台很大，厨房东西都有，床铺一股大麻味，基本没怎么睡好
Very good lodging experience, location on top of the hill, hiking up the hill a bit expensive, but there is an interbus, staff is very warm, balcony is big, kitchen everything, beds smell of weed, basically not sleeping well.
Great location and really nice terrace area with great views. Staff are all lovely!

Very nice chill hostel with a good kitchen
I was welcomed very warmly and treated kindly during my stay. The staff and the other people were very open, starting conversations was very easy. However, I thought that the kitchen and the fridge needed a clean-up.
The environment was good and the staff was very friendly, but I feel that there wasn’t enough privacy in the room because the room door and the balcony door were open all day. Also, music was playing all day starting really early, which didn’t give you the opportunity to sleep in if you wanted to.

This is the best hostel I’ve ever been to. It feels homely, authentic, and friendly. All of the staff were great, and the fellow travellers. The view from the hostel’s chill out area was incredible- down into town and over the ocean. Short walk from everywhere you could need. Felt very safe and welcome. Highly recommended!
Absolutely amazing! Best time of my life, and makes me want to go back for another solo trip! I’ve never traveled alone before, so I wanted a safe, close to landmarks, and price-able area stay at - and “Homstel” Hostel Taormina yet beyond my expectations.
Homstel a été ma première expérience en auberge de jeunesse et je suis vraiment bien tombé. Le lieu est cool, accueillant, les salariés sont présents à chaque question. Les salles de bains étaient propres et les casiers fermables en bon état. J’ai apprécié les rideaux de lits et la grande terrasse face a la mer
Homstel was my first experience in a hostel and I really liked it. the place is cool, welcoming, the staff is present for every question. the bathrooms were clean and the lockers in good condition. i enjoyed the bed curtains and the large terrace facing the sea
Good staff, nice place well located! The Woman dorm was confortable, the curtain make it private, terasse was wonderfull even in winter so can't imagine in summer. Kitchen ok, the bathroom could use some portable heater but other then that, this place was really great! Did I mention the good staff? They are the soul of the place so always nice to have nice people to welcome you.

Very nice hostel, I recommend staying here. Security could be better, but everything else was pretty perfect. Everything you need in the kitchen, comfortable beds with curtains, amazing terrace with great view over the city.
Good location. It just needs some repairs. Staff helpful. Nice patio overlooking the sea.
Hostel was great! The only thing I found uncomfortable is that the kitchen smells a little bit funny. But the common places are great, the bed comfortables, the personnel really kind. I enjoyed my stay a lot!
