The Valley Tayrona Hostel - A social Jungle hostel

The location and the hostel itself is beautiful - we were in a treehouse room which is open to the jungle, incredible views of the surrounding jungle. It’s also very sociable and easy to meet people here. Unfortunately we both got ill from either the pool or the food during our stay and as a result couldn’t leave to make our trip into the park. We also found bed bugs in our bed - the staff did move us elsewhere but just worth being aware and checking your bed.

A luxury boutique hotel for 10$ a night sounds too good to be true? You’re right it is The place is a total scam, we left after the first night first chance we got, and didnt get any refunds on the remaining night. the beds were moist and dirty, there were bugs in the bedsheets, didn’t look like they changed em at all. There was no running water, toilets clogged, water pouring into the restaurant area during rainfall, dogshit at the pool, the dog seemed really sick, not even a fan in the dorm room, and and and…. But most of all, we felt really uncomfortable there, the staff was perma-stoned and unfriendly. Just don’t go! Be advised
